Dynatrace Works - Seriously!
What do you like best about the product?
Using the tracing of requests through multiple microservices, I can find where the request is stalling out and or failing. It has helped me and my team get to the root of many problems without having to write custom code.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so many options and so much power in the platform that users regularly get lost or confused as they navigate through the different pages, options and possible actions. The good news is that with a few hours of practice you learn where and how to do the work. To find the gold - it really does work. Seriously
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it gives me insights into how the app is being used in different parts of the world. A perfect example, is needing to see how the users are using my application on a distant continent. It gave me visibility into what is being clicked on, what browsers are being used and what OS's are being used. All of which I need to know what to best build for my customers.

What do you like best about the product?
We have created custome dashboard for our application infrastroucture to monitor and enable custom alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm still exploring to enable batchjob monitoring and alerting and hopfully it will be resolved soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace have improved overall customer experiance, enabled our IT Ops to manage the application infrastructure effectively.

Visibility, ease of deployment, usabilily, ai supported.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't monitor dynatrace with dynatrace, can't monitor services status.

It has detected more than 90% of our issues without special configuration. The out of box features of industry leading.
Dynatrace is a wonderful platform that expands our APM capabilities and drives innovation.

Dynatrace provides a one stop shop for teams from many different areas and levels of our organization to understand the performance we provide to our internal and external customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are a few areas I would improve in regards to the configurations. For the most part Dynatrace is super easy to deploy, even when extending it's capabilites.

Dynatrace provides us a one stop location for our teams to understand not only their application, but also how they relate to other applications they interface with.

within a production support role, we needed a robust option to monitor our platforms - Dynatrace provides this

What do you like best about the product?
Allows team to easily understand where issue are within a problem card. Helping reduce MTTR.

It is a bit difficult to easily create an alert that can page a particular team.

Easily pinpoint where problems are in an increasingly complex environment, which helps reduce MTTR.
Dynatrace has made troubleshooting and problem solving much easier with the Problems App
What do you like best about the product?
The Problems App is my personal favorite feature within Dynatrace, It may be very underrated but it is truly amazing and saves a lot of time when you are working on an issue. It provides a quick summary of the issue with the time when it occurred along with a link to the resources impacted so you can dig deeper. I have previously used other monitoring tools such as New Reclic or Wily Introscope but the experience with Dynatrace is so much better. Installation of the OneAgent is super easy and the navigation is very intutive. Customer support is always very resourceful and quick in their responses. We have been able to integrate Dynatrace with Cloud Foundry, GCP Compute Instances and Kubernetes very easily. In my role as a Support Engineer I use Dynatrace every day, either to monitor the Production environment using various Dashobards, triaging Production Issues using Problems App, adding and modifying Maintenance Windows to snooze alerts during Deployments.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of feature within Dynatrace that I have challenges with is the Alerting Profiles. It cannot exlude a single entity from a management zone from being picked up by the alerting profile, you will need to identify and include every single entity you need except the one you don't want which is tedious. I hope they can add feature which lets you select entities that you can exlude from alerting profiles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace helps us solve various issues including service failure rate increase, response time slowness due to backend issues, infrastruture availability and website availibility using synthetic monitoring.

What do you like best about the product?
Usability and insights into performance and availability of applications and infrastructure. Grail opens up so many more possibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
New interface is a little less intuitive at times.
