Lucid has streamlined our collaboration process, making it simpler to work with various teams within the GTM organization. By utilizing Lucid, we've managed to reduce the time spent in meetings discussing and refining ideas. This efficiency gain has not only decreased the duration of our meetings but also enhanced the effectiveness of our collaboration. It's become an integral part of our daily collaboration, and it's hard to envision our workflow without it.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used it on multiple occasions to create and update org charts and for various brain storming sessions. It has also helped me create charts that look how I imagine them in my mind rather than being limited to particular templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the text boxes can be clunky. It can take more time to adjust a box than I care to allot. Limit to color usage.

Intuitive way to collaborate on what matters

  • February 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid has a useful set of tools and we use it extensively (multiple times per week) for brainstorming and collating thoughts/flows as a team. I really enjoy the voting, timers and music - when I'm facilitating the session these are really great tools to use.
The UI is friendly and pretty seamless and we've never experienced issues with collaboration. I transferred to Lucid from a mixture of Figma and Canva and the learning curve is must flatter with Lucid. I prefer Lucid to Visio, because I find Lucid more intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have struggled a little with understanding how to select and then format/edit templates. I've ended up finding colleagues already-created docs, copy pasting them and then deleting the content to use the template again. This is probably because I'm a new user, but I just haven't had the time to work it out. I don't remember having this issue with Visio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We often have complex topics that require input from technical writers, product managers, UX designers and engineers. When we create RFC docs and JIRA tickets etc, we still stay quite siloed and struggle to break out of our current perspective. When we use a shared collaborative whiteboard, we can all throw things on there and then when we discover each idea together as a group, we find that we can get to more of a shared perspective/understanding - and this then massively improves our creativity and the ideas we then start throwing out are way more interesting. We can keep up that momentum by directly voting and moving high-interest ideas into a new section for further discovery. It's not something we can do remotely without the visual tools - our brains just can't make the right links between ideas without the whiteboard in front of us.

Great product to craft process and architecture diagrams

  • February 03, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a team lead and a software engineer for many years, and every time I need to craft a quick process flow chart or an in depth architecture diagram for a customer solution, Lucidchart is usually my first choice. I like the availability of various components (incl. aws \ gcp components) as well as the ability to collaborate with team members on the same document in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that not every employer \ customer I worked with had a paid license and the free version is rather limiting. I might eventually consider buying a license for myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coming up with customer architecture diagrams

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use when adding different elements how easy it is to build a well formatted and appealing process graph.
What do you dislike about the product?
While some parts are very easy to learn, the power of Lucid takes time to truly dig into and learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving a way to easily collobrate and create graphs, diagrams, and whiteboarding with colleagues. Something not easily done with programs like PowerPoint or Excel.
