    Architecture & Planning

Useful, timely tool

  • January 27, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Quick and easy to form design thinking diagrams!
What do you dislike about the product?
The graphic appeal of this is less than ideal - best for users that do not know how to use other products like Adobe InDesign Suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was used during my academic experience to map out design thinking and strategies for approaching challenges. No real benefits have been realized.

Solid Diagramming and Drawing App

  • November 14, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our firm has transitioned to the cloud, and continues to look for applications that can integrate with other cloud-based apps. We found LucidChart a few years ago, and have gradually shifted away from desktop apps to this product. It is a handy tool for production engineers that need a quick way to diagram a process or go beyond the crude drawing tools offered within documents apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no big gaps for us. It is less full-featured that some more advanced drawing tools (Adobe Illustrator), however, it is sufficient for a large number of our users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The integration within the cloud and our ability to share / collaborate on drawings is a key value.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth a try, especially for those that are moving or thinking about moving to cloud-based product development.

Lucid Chart review

  • March 28, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Various image assets. I also like that this syncs w/Google images and photos automatically upload.
What do you dislike about the product?
The basic interface is not appealing. If we could update the color scheme of the login screen or customize it that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating flow charts for escalations. I also enjoy the presentation view.

Sturdy product experience

  • March 25, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Consistent UI
2. Uses the browser (esp. Chrome very well) - including offline use
3. Some of the best integration features including Google, Hipster etc
4. Very cool import feature allowing me to import symbols from other tools like Visio
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Did not work for over a month and so the occasional glitches tend to put us off.

But to their credit the customer response was fantastic and I am already quite impressed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly design of architecture diagrams, operational models etc
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would urge you to make the switch without considering anything else. While this review is a little subjective like all reviews, as a long time user, I would advise you to consider using Lucidchart for its active role in the community, its customer focus and use of bleeding edge tools to bring about a great user experience.

What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive - where to find what, how to created documents, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a limit of elements that can be added to a diagram
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting the architecture of our systems and our processes. Provides a clean visual for all accessing these documents.

Overall experience really good

  • March 24, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The dynamically indicated spacing when objects are placed on screen is awesome. I have a near OCD level issues with asymmetric designs. The spacing option fixed that instead of having to rework the complete design.
What do you dislike about the product?
The absence of colour highlighting of specific blocks could have been a welcome feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently a student. Business options not explored yet. Signal and data fliw diagrams for designed chips done.

no need of visio
sharing charts among users
Recommendations to others considering the product:
less google-dependent

Process mapping.

  • March 24, 2016

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility in creating diagrams and visuals (as compared to PPT or Google Slides).
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of colors and shapes to use out of the box. Clunky align features. Often tough to configure to print or save as image for another medium easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
process improvement, business strategy, technology strategy & implementation. Benefit is that it is easy to create a process flow and walk a client through it.
