Shared Brainstorming with Lucid

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how intuitive and flexible Lucid is, it makes it easy to capture ideas quickly, organise them visually, and collaborate in real time. The shared workspace with sticky notes, tables, and diagrams keeps everyone engaged and aligned, which is a big upside compared to traditional tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Lucid can feel a bit cluttered when many people are collaborating at once, and it can take time to organise complex diagrams. Also, certain advanced features aren’t always intuitive for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the challenge of collaborative idea generation and visual organisation by allowing teams to brainstorm, map, and structure concepts in real time. This benefits me by keeping discussions focused, making ideas easy to track, and ensuring everyone stays aligned during projects.

Excellent tool for cross-team collaboration and presentations

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a Product Manager at a tech company, I have been using the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for over a year and I have found it to be extremely helpful when presenting and getting across complicated ideas. For example, I had a problem that needed to be solved and required a new technical/backend change. I tried to use other tools to present that to my engineers, but they did not get it. When I started using the Lucid Chart and Lucid Spark tool, they immediately understood what I was talking about and it allowed us to collaborate together. We were building out a process and flow chart which also indicated backend changes and it was very easy to brainstorm and test out different theories with the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. It was also great because I was able to export and share the changes with the whole team after the presentation.
After this moment, I recommended my entire product team to start using the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite and they found it extremely helpful too. I use this tool every week when presenting or learning new ideas within the engineering and product organization.
What I like the most about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is how easy it is to turn ideas into actual structured diagrams and flowcharts. It is amazing truly how collaborative this tool is and how easy it is to use with your teammates.
I like how Lucidspark enables real-time collaboration with features like sticky notes, voting, and breakout boards, while Lucidchart helps structure ideas into clear, professional diagrams. The seamless integration between tools, especially with the universal canvas, speeds up workflows and keeps everyone aligned.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that the interface can feel overwhelming for new users. While the tools are powerful, they’re packed with features that aren't always intuitive to find or use without prior experience. For teams just getting started, this can lead to a steeper learning curve and some early frustration. More built-in guidance or onboarding prompts would help ease that transition and ensure teams get value quickly without needing extensive training or documentation.
Additionally, performance can start to lag when working with large or highly detailed documents, especially if multiple collaborators are editing at once. This is particularly noticeable in Lucidchart when diagrams include a lot of linked data or embedded assets. Also, while integrations with tools like Slack, Jira, and Microsoft are available, the setup can be finicky, and some connections don't sync as smoothly as expected. A more consistent and seamless integration experience would go a long way in making Lucid even more effective as a central collaboration hub.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps me bridge the gap between product and engineering by giving me a clear, visual way to present complex ideas. As a product manager, I often need to communicate workflows, edge cases, and different user scenarios—especially when we're planning changes that impact backend systems or involve multiple user types. Lucid makes it easy to translate all of that into a visual format that engineers can quickly understand, provide input on, and iterate with me in real time.

For example, we were planning a manual migration of users from an old UX experience to a new one. Initially, users had the option to stay in the old experience, but eventually, we needed to deprecate it completely. I laid out the proposed migration flow in Lucidchart, including decision points, data dependencies, and different user types. What started out as a clunky, hard-to-follow Excel document became a clear and interactive diagram. We used it to move components around during the discussion so the logic made sense to everyone and was easy to agree on. It streamlined communication and helped us reach alignment much faster.

The Best Visual Collaboration Suite I’ve Used

  • August 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use it almost daily and I love how intuitive it feels, setup was painless, features are plenty without being overwhelming, and integrations make it fit right into my daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels a bit heavy on browser resources, and a few advanced features take time to learn. Nothing major, but could be smoother.”
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid takes the complexity out of tax data reconciliation by letting me turn pipelines into simple visuals. It helps me catch issues quickly, keeps teammates aligned, and makes knowledge sharing way easier than relying on long docs or calls.

Visual approach facilitates clarity and process efficiency in complex real estate tasks

  • August 20, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use Lucidchart for a number of things including workflow diagramming, org chart development, and process workflows. We process many legal things with real estate, such as ownership charts and title transfers. It's far easier to do these tasks visually than it is in language.

How has it helped my organization?

The benefits since implementing Lucidchart are mostly because taking a visual approach to any of these things is far superior to trying to type it out or write it out or explain it to anyone. Secondly, Lucidchart does a great implementation of that visual approach. It has greatly influenced us in clarity.

I cannot speak specifically to efficiency metrics, but clarity itself develops efficiency and resiliency because most of what we do doesn't get questioned later, and we maintain better tracking of processes and pathways.

What is most valuable?

One of the best features of Lucidchart is that it's robust. I appreciate being able to use it collaboratively with other people. We use both Lucidchart and Miro collaboratively across the division with four or five of us working with it.

I've attended several seminars which were very good. While some users implement it for Agile and other advanced processes, we use it as a visualization tool for processes and constructs involved in real estate transactions. Lucidchart is excellent because it allows us to attach pieces together, shuffle them around, and maintain connections without losing track of relationships.

What needs improvement?

The system is a bit clumsy when it comes to stylizing to match corporate imaging styles. In real estate, we need everything to have the same look and feel as our materials. Beyond dropping a logo in, it's not particularly comfortable working with our corporate font set.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with it for about a year now.

What other advice do I have?

I haven't done much with Lucidchart's integration with other popular apps such as Teams, though one of my colleagues mentioned it can be added. This has sparked my interest to look into integration with Excel and Word, though we haven't implemented these features yet in our less than a year of operation.

I access Lucidchart from multiple devices, including iPhone, iPad, and PC desktop. Our PCs are all laptops, so we can work remotely. I've collaborated with people from home on my iPad while they were on their laptop, though this isn't our routine behavior.

I would recommend Lucidchart to others, but I'd also recommend exploring other options. It depends on what your fit and feel is for what you're trying to accomplish. For heavy users or technical users, Lucidchart might be very appealing. It has more capabilities than I'm currently using. The Highway Bridge Maintenance group, who are familiar with Agile processes, speak positively about it. For average users, they might find similar functionality in Miro or other less expensive alternatives.

Great for collaboration

  • August 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to setup a team and easily share charts within different teams.
It also seems clever about snapping lines/arrows to shapes and suggesting rules for the layout, e.g. red arrow for No line in a flow diagram.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss the ability to link from one shape to another. Like if the user clicks a shape their focus moves, smoothly, to some other shape or diagram.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diagramming and sharing diagrams with team members.

Powerful Yet a Bit Overwhelming for Beginners

  • August 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to create custom flowcharts that help my team see the big picture and understand their roles. I find the feature to insert links to documents very helpful, and I really like the decision-maker tool in the flowchart. Autoload features are set so that it flows intuitively on its own.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the software to be somewhat complex, with functions that are more advanced than what I require, resulting in a bit of a learning curve. The terminology used in the software is not entirely clear to me, and I still struggle with simple tasks like making arrows straight in flowcharts. The software could be more beginner-friendly, as it feels overwhelming with its robust features. It would be beneficial to have more detailed help resources, examples of feature applications, and possibly a simpler, less expensive version tailored for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the product to organize multi-step processes, ensuring clarity on team responsibilities and facilitating smooth task handoffs through linked flowcharts.
