Powerful Tool with Small Room for Improvement

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I work as a dietician and also manage my wife’s homeopathy clinic. With just the two of us in the team, Lucid has been invaluable for keeping our daily operations organized and professional. It lets me create clear visuals of patient workflows, diet plans, and treatment records, so I can track each patient’s journey, document remedies, and monitor outcomes efficiently. The ready-to-use templates, browser access, and real-time collaboration make it easy to update and share information instantly, saving time and reducing errors. Setting it up was straightforward, and it now supports both patient care and diet consultation management in our daily routine. I use It Daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucid has a lot of powerful features, which can feel overwhelming at first. Some clinic-specific integrations and advanced security options are only available in paid plans. Offline use is limited, and very large diagrams can slow the software down. For a small clinic, it takes a short learning period to fully benefit, and occasionally a paid plan is needed to unlock certain advanced features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid centralizes all clinic-related tasks and diet management in one place. I can track patient progress, record changes in remedies, and visualize diet plans clearly, which improves accuracy and consistency in patient care. It also streamlines daily management for my wife’s homeopathy clinic, including scheduling, content planning, and patient follow ups. By reducing manual paperwork and improving workflow clarity, it helps me focus on providing better care and structured diet consultations, boosting overall efficiency and productivity for our small clinic team.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to create diagrams, whiteboards, and flowcharts quickly without a steep learning curve.
Multiple users can edit and comment simultaneously, which makes brainstorming, planning, and design sessions highly efficient for distributed teams.
A wide range of prebuilt templates and seamless integrations further speeds up collaboration.
Because it’s so quick to use, our team uses it multiple times a week for different projects.
It's super easy to implement it for teams and the customer support is great
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex or heavy diagrams can cause lag or slow loading, especially with many collaborators editing at once.
The cost can be high for small teams, and several useful features are locked behind premium tiers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps solve collaboration challenges by bringing distributed team members together to plan, brainstorm, and map processes visually in real time. It reduces the need for long meetings and scattered documents by centralizing ideas in one place. This has improved team alignment, sped up decision-making, and increased productivity during project planning and strategy sessions.

I use Lucid to create clear flowcharts and diagrams for better collaboration.

  • September 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is how easy it makes creating clear and professional diagrams. The drag-and-drop interface is very intuitive, so I can quickly build flowcharts, workflows and mind maps without any learning curve. It offers a wide variety of ready-to-use templates, which saves me a lot of time when starting new projects. The real-time collaboration feature is especially valuable because it allows multiple team members to work on the same document simultaneously, reducing miscommunication. I also appreciate its seamless integration with tools like Google Workspace, which makes sharing and collaboration even smoother. Overall, Lucid helps me turn complex processes into simple, visual insights that everyone can understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is excellent overall, sometimes larger diagrams with many elements can feel a little heavy to load and navigate. The free version also comes with limitations, such as restricted shapes and document limits, which can be challenging for extensive projects. I’ve noticed that exporting to certain formats occasionally requires extra steps, and the pricing for advanced features may feel a bit high for individual users. However, these are minor issues compared to the value it provides for collaboration and visualization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps me solve the problem of communicating complex ideas in a simple and visual way. Instead of relying on long documents or presentations, I can quickly turn workflows, data pipelines or processes into easy-to-follow diagrams. This makes collaboration with teammates smoother, especially when working remotely or across different teams. It also reduces miscommunication by allowing everyone to contribute in real time on a shared canvas. The ability to create org charts, mind maps and flow diagrams in one platform saves time compared to using multiple tools. Overall, Lucid improves productivity, enhances clarity and ensures that projects move forward with a shared understanding.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite stands out as an exceptional collaboration tool that has transformed how our team works together remotely. The platform's intuitive interface makes it incredibly easy to create and edit diagrams, while its real-time collaboration features ensure seamless teamwork without version control issues. What I appreciate most is the extensive template library that saves hours of setup time, combined with smooth integrations with tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams. The ability to quickly transform our visual work into professional presentations is particularly valuable for client meetings. Despite being feature-rich, the platform remains user-friendly enough that even team members with minimal technical experience can contribute effectively, making it an essential tool for our daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance issues occasionally arise when working with large, complex diagrams, leading to frustrating lag times and slower load speeds. Another pain point is the limited offline functionality, making it challenging to work without a stable internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform has revolutionized our remote brainstorming sessions, replacing countless email threads and disjointed conference calls with interactive visual workspaces where ideas can be mapped out and refined instantly.

What do you like best about the product?
IT is very versatile and user-friendly. The visual tools and customizable themes make every project look polished, while the real time collaboration keeps the whole team in sync. I love the ready-made templates, image imports and easy export options. The ability to compare and integrate live data takes mapping to the next level.

Imports of complex visio diagrams can lose behaviors or swimlane structure. some competitive features feel more polished elsewhere.

Customer journey mapping is a breeze with ready to use templates, i can map stages, compare multiple personas and even pull in real-time data for smarter decisions. visual customization is a huge win too: image imports, custom icons and flexible themes make every map engaging and on brand.

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart has quickly become one of my go-to tools for visual collaboration and process mapping. It’s intuitive enough to get started within minutes, yet powerful enough to handle complex workflows, system architecture, and organizational diagrams

What I appreciate most is the balance between ease of use and depth of functionality. The drag-and-drop interface makes building diagrams seamless, and the vast template library saves time when I need a quick starting point. Real-time collaboration is another standout—multiple people can contribute simultaneously, which has been a game changer for brainstorming sessions, mapping customer journeys, and aligning cross-functional teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version is pretty limited, and the jump to paid tiers can feel steep, especially for small teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart is great at solving a variety of visual and organizational problems, especially around clarity, collaboration, and planning. Here’s a breakdown of the key problems it helps address:

Generous free tier

  • September 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Free tier has almost always been enough to complete the task I am doing and when it hasn't the subscription is not prohibitively expensive.

You can also use it for pretty much any visualisation from app mockups to data base schema or service architecture design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Selecting the right content box is often cumbersome, using preset templates makes this easier but if you are new and starting from a blank sheet you need to do a fair bit of guessing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that the suite solves for me is being able to share my diagrams/schemas/wireframes with other developers and managers with just a URL. The opinionated nature of the design elements you can use also make it much faster to prototype when compared with something like Figma.
