Easy to use & does what it says on the tin

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the way that branches connecting boxes & rows stay connected nicely & can be re-routed easily, meaning that you don't waste time on pointless fiddling
What do you dislike about the product?
Function around copy-pasting of text could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a good way to contribute to big complex diagrams (I use it to map out the relationship between tables in a database)

Lucidspark review

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Diagrams encourage teamwork, which I appreciate. A process diagram can be shared with numerous people so they can review it, comment on it, suggest changes, and possibly make changes to Lucidspark themselves. Also, the large number of features and connectors keep me interested. I keep an eye on Lucid Spark to see what fantastic ideas they have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data being accidentally or intentionally deleted is the only thing that worries me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark was how we developed our project management ideas. Since our learning curve was not steep, it was easier to implement many ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is possible to improve customer retention by mapping processes.

What do you like best about the product?
The thought process behind developing the templates! It is an excellent collaborative tool (beyond Covid-times) for virtual teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
All functions as expected; what I am missing is the continuous value in LucidSparks after using an existing template!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visual collaboration with virtual team members.

Benefits:
Ease of use, scale
Easy sharing, collaborating capabilities
Excellent visualization of general service design concepts (like Fibonacci, Bullseyse, etc.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get started here if you/your organization is looking to build a service design function. They have well-thought design functions nicely visualized and grouped in their templates.

Very Easy to Use

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is very easy to use; the UI is straightforward and intuitive, making it easy to create charts and display information. This makes meetings more effective as Lucidspark improves communication. The templates make creating charts simple so that you can produce an effective document that displays information well.
The versatility of Lucidspark is impressive, there are many different templates on the site, all with different uses. This allows me to use Lucidspark to help with any problem in many different ways.
The site is also visually pleasing, this may seem like a minor detail, but when working with Lucidspark for a long period of time, it is better that the website is well designed, attractive and pleasant to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found that somretimes it was difficult to alter charts once they were made. This often required moving items and repositioning the whole chart to acomodate the change. Perhaps there could be some way to automatically format a chart to be uniform and to line up items in it where necessary. This would save time and allow users to focuss on the information. The templates do this to an extent but not completely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving problems with the system in place at a restaurant. Lucidspark has provided a way to display the problems and how I intend to solve them to my sponsor. I was able to produce charts detailing the systems in direct comparison which was very insightful to where we need to focuss our resources. Also, it detailed my work effectively, making communication of ideas between me and my company easy and streamline. This has allowed me to progress on my current project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend you use it. At the very least, you could try it, and I am sure that you would find it a necessary addition to your company, it will make things much more manageable.

Lucidspark is a good whiteboarding software that is easy to use.

  • June 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the collaboration features and the ability to work with my team in real time. The sofware is easy to use, and in my opinion, I would recommend it to a development team that needs a space to brainstorm, share ideas, and collaborate online in real time with the whiteboarding software. I also like that I can see my team members' cursors in real time as we navigate the whiteboard, and I love the AI-powered features like Magic Sort and other tools that help me to organize and present information quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that the elements I can use in the whiteboard are limited; I would like to see a more extensive selection of icons, shapes, and designs. If the team adds more of this feature, I will be more likely to use the product not only for whiteboarding, but also to create diagrams, designs, and other materials using the software. I also dislike the fact that, while the product offers several integrations with products like Google Drive and Slack, the capability to make my own integrations as a developer is limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping to create a space for my team to brainstorm and share ideas. We have benefited from this software by becoming more productive and faster at organizing and generating ideas and plans as a team. For example, during a design brainstorming session with the development team, we used Lucidspark to put down ideas, requirements, constraints, and potential solutions. This allowed us to quickly iterate the design and maintain a clear picture of each facet of the problem. Without this software, it would have been more challenging to attain the same productivity and time to finish the design.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My advice is to use the product, it's pretty good and offers several powerful features.

Great manual flexibility but not streamlined

  • June 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There's a lot of flexibility in designing your own system / workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a lot of manual work and not as streamlined as I thought it would be. Our company uses it for an org chart and when creating it, it's not as organized and user friendly as we wish it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company uses Lucid to sustain our company org chart.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for project management and show of workflow use.

Overall very thoughtfully designed

  • June 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is nice having everything centralized, with a more significant amount of features to share amongst team members. Lucid has always been helpful, but now it aims to become more of a hub for work and ideas. I can see this continuing to mature into something an organization would heavily depend on in their day-to-day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. The goal is always to maximize features while maintaining simplicity in the user experience. I am intrigued to see how it continues to develop over time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not currently solving any problems, as I was testing it out of curiosity. I could see how the collaborative nature of it would be conducive to problem-solving for many types of teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out. It will surprise you.

Architecture communication via visualization following view and viewpoints concepts.

Surprising

  • June 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was surprised about the possibility to connect other tools to Lucid and the similarity with other apps. Also the option to add labels, which is really useful and the possibility to export, most valuable is to extract slides.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that the design could be more user friendly, all the boxes has a size and one can only maximze or minime them but not the sides, one cannot expand the border to the sides (right, left), one must increase the box in all directions (right, left, up, down). It implied that the letter is jumping from one line to other when border in close (square).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At the beggining I exported the entire diagram as a PDF, but now I can extract each part in one slide, in order to be more visual and easy to show it.
The connection with Jira is really useful, you can have there the update of each task ad also rules for it. If something is 'On hold' you can show an alarm, the red icon informing that something need to be reviewed.
