  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing is how easy and simple it is to pick up out of the box and use without a big learning curve. I also love the different templates for different business processes and use cases. The shortcuts are a huge plus. Overall, it makes diagrams look super professional. I enjoy the integrations between lucid chart and different software like Confluence.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the file and folder structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use lucid chart for process diagramming.

Saves Time for Little Money

What do you like best about the product?
Lucid gives me instant access to tons of visualization products that each would take days to build one by one. The integrations with my other systems allow me to track data, build team collaboration, and create incredible products for my business. The ease of use and tutorial videos are world-class. Lucid gives everyone on my teams an opportunity to be creative, as they don't have to worry about learning new systems.
I know many people get frustrated with having to make visualizations of great ideas, but they are truly the best way to sell products, understand product flow, or create greater efficiencies. This system takes the pressure off to create and puts power in the hands of those with knowledge to leverage their abilities for maximum gain.
What do you dislike about the product?
Microsoft integration takes a little time to learn, but it's not difficult. I'm not sure how much it costs to host them on their site, but I would prefer to have the instructional videos within the templates, rather than on YouTube. There is incredible material out there, but going back and forth between sites is just an extra step (a minor inconvenience, but still).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently use many different flowcharts and process diagrams. Lucid lets us track progress and visually depict that progress in ways we didn't think possible before. I personally use the system to foster mind mapping and brain storming. I've even found their SaaS materials perfect for enhancing training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You won't find anything easier to use, IMO. This simply does the work you need it to do so you can focus on your specialty.

What do you like best about the product?
LucidCharts has the right control to draw various diagrams. Being a purchase guy, I am able to draw the Organization flow and roles time to time to talk with various groups. It helps with drag and drop features and provides good quality PDF via exporting drawings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like Lucid for any diagram and flow chart work. it is very easy to use and user friendly application. Anyone can spend a little bit time and learn using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LucidCharts let us create various diagrams. We copy these diagrams in our slides to present to different groups in seminars.

Lucidchart Review

  • December 08, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Starting to create diagrams is easy, even more so if you use the templates, but what I like most about Lucidchart is being able to collaborate with my coworkers, make edits at the same time and have version control is useful for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had bad experiences using Lucidchart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Lucidchart it is possible for me to do a better analysis of data because by putting visualize the data in one or several diagrams it is easier for me to understand the information thanks to the visual resource.

Create clean and attractive diagrams in minutes.

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is so easy to use with it's premade drag and drop templates. I can easily collaborate with my coworkers where they can update shared diagrams on their end without needing to update it through email comments or other notes. Having it be a browser-based client makes it much easier too since I can just send a link to a client or coworker instead of needing them to download an application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The costs are a little steep for what you're getting. Granted it's saved us a lot of time and effort making diagrams through other applications, but I still think it could be priced lower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can create flow charts and diagrams easily. Makes all of our presentations for clients clean and professional looking without much effort.

Fully Featured, Stable, Reliable, and Versatile

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it runs so well in the browser and across multiple browsers. I know that I can open it anywhere and use it. They have certainly thought the app through in detail, there are so many configuration options and pre-built components for building charts that I'm always able to get what I want. I have built some massive flow charts and the performance holds strong always. There are many small touches that automate micro-interactions and save you dozens of clicks while building even small diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I want to share a live chart with someone who is only going to view it, they need to sign up to view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Lucidchart to map out logistics flows for supply chains, website maps, app user flows, and database entity relationship diagrams.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you have a browser solution without having to sacrifice or compromise on anything a professional may need. One can access and use it from anywhere that is the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to miss the fact that there was no offline options or if there was a power failure I would lose hours of work. Given that has been taken care of there is nothing critical I dislike. Sometimes based on the complexity and layers in a graph it may be difficult to select and handle the item you want but that is a minor nuisance.
Some times, specially when one is new to the service, it is not as straight forward to know how many or which kinds of specialized chart types are supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to diagram and communicate my vision for the products our company offers. Systems and how they connect, domains and how they overlap and relate to one another for instance. I have realized graphs can really get the idea across and save time explaining or misunderstandings. More importantly my peers are starting to use graphs and charts more as they see the advantages.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really explore all the chart types supported, I ended up trying to make up a specific type of chart with basic components just to discover after hours that kind of chart was supported already and in a much better way than my ad-hoc approach.

Lucidchart FTW

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Well thought out, practical templates. I have gotten some great presentation ideas for complex communications by using a combination of the templates provided in the app.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a bit of a learning curve coming from another product, but maybe a few more tutorials would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a group that learns quickly from visualization so rolling out a new process or just doing simply root cause analysis using Lucidchart is great.

Excellent Visual Tool

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of collaboration while using Lucidchart has proven itself time and time again. It is easy to share a chart within a team and across departments. Live editing for multiple users is also a huge plus. Integration with Microsoft Teams has increased collaboration as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart is still in it's early stages of maturity when it comes to combining data with visual components. Further development of their dynamic shapes and charting is still anticipated. Further development of their shape data fields (including formulas) and data linking management is needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although Lucidchart's shape data fields need further development, they have been quite valuable in quantifying process metrics and data while diagramming process flows. Lucidchart has the potential to combine quantitative process data with the visual impact of a process map.

Great Platform for Process Mapping and Charting Work Flows

  • November 25, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the easy-to-use functionalities of Lucidchart, especially the templates that make it easy to modify and customize for your own processes. The object library is very expansive and you can easily find whatever shape you need to display your diagram. It is also very easy to share with colleagues who are not actively using the system, with access to download charts as a .pdf file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only individuals who have Lucidchart accounts are able to access diagrams or files that are created within the platform, which makes it difficult for other non-users to work on the projects. This issue can be resolved by having colleagues create a free account, but it's one extra step that could hinder productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating workflows and clear processes for different projects (i.e. grants administration process and organizational work chart) at work is so easy using this product!
