Decent diagramming and collaborative tool

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the blank canvas of the platform, but also templates to start from so you have options in getting started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of the limitations on how many creations you can have with a free account. I wish you had more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to visualize infrastructure and process flow.

The ultimate design tool

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is an amazing tool that anyone can use to create layouts of almost anything. I love the ease of creating flowcharts and making them seamlessly accessible. As a Mac user, I am grateful to have Lucidchart because Visio is not an option. I also appreciate the ease of collaboration with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to be able to share flowcharts with colleagues, but they can't edit them in the free version. This is such a simple problem. Also, downloading and printing charts can be a bit cumbersome at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is literally the only tool that works for me to track marketing drips and sales transactions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Thanks to Lucidchart and its huge benefits, I've learned more about creating all kinds of real-time collaborative projects because the testing is endless. If you need to create different charts and patterns, you can find them on this site.

If align function would work properly would be a TEN!

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to work on and share. The functionality is logical, so anyone you share with can start collaborating right away.
What do you dislike about the product?
That is a big problem, align function does not work properly. Sometimes it aligns left when you are trying to align right and vice versa. This is a major issue, when you are creating a large structure and trying to keep all elements in harmony.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to strategize content and create information architecture. Besides assisting me on the creative process it is very effective way to present to a diverse audience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try, and you will be hooked!

Great web tool! Easy to use accross devices

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Super easy file/folder structure, advanced drawing tools. Definitely a very easy tool to use, especially when it comes to collaboration with customers on drawing shared diagrams, user flows, state diagrams and so on. Sharing with people outside my org has been quite easy, especially to manage their accesses, to what exactly they have reach to and their roles as in edit comment etc. Drawing diagrams is smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pencil support on iPad for drawing shapes can be improved. Ipad app looks quite native and easy to use. Pencil works but there's a lot of room for improvement especially for drawing circles, squares, triangles etc. Editing text on the web app is not very very smooth but still an eight out of ten.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very useful for me during my work with state diagrams. Collaborating is easy. it evaluates sharing old style pdf extracts or visio extracts via email. Definitely simplified and eased how we work together with our clients. White board usability is quite smooth and nice. Offers many shapes which is quite a lot useful personally for my role. Definitely recommemded to use especially if you are drawing swim lanes, state diagrams, mind mapping on a daily basis, editing them with a large group of people such as teammates and customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely a very easy tool to use, especially when it comes to collaboration with customers on drawing shared diagrams, user flows, state diagrams and so on.

Love the team working capabilities.

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We work on a fully remote team and Lucidspark allows us to collaborate in a way that feels almost like we're in person collaborating. My team is about 10 people and it seems like that's a good number to allow everyone to be working but not overloading the system or causing glitches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love it if there were more custom shapes available. It seems as though there's a lag in the timing when my coworkers are completing and moving items on the boards. We have to over communicate when we are moving around organizational items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team focuses a lot on branding and storyboarding for photography and graphic design. We work with about 8-10 brands and each brand we work to complete an entire branding guide, photo guide and so on.

What do you like best about the product?
ER diagrams are the best thing when made in lucid
What do you dislike about the product?
Primary keys can't be highlighted in ER diagrams
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many schemas in oracle, so lucidspark helps to understand the relationship between all of them.

The ability to have our team choose items, copy and rank them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The boards got a bit unwieldy when multiple teams joined a discussion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were working on merchandise copy and design ideas with multiple teams.

Collaborative Tool

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to have my students work collaboratively in break out boards on any given topic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. There are so many amazing features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a digital age of teaching and learning, Lucid Spark offers the ability for students to show their understanding in a very creative manner.

Reminiscent of the walls in an agency

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark allowed me to bring the same collaborative setting as an agency into a non-profit organisation during our ideation process. In an agency, I had the luxury of using multi-coloured post-its to go through client briefs with the team. Ideas can come in fast and furious and so would the critical analysis of the processes involved. Lucidspark gave me a chance to bring this same spontaneity without the mess!
What do you dislike about the product?
Through no fault of Lucidspark itself, no monitor can cover the size of a wall without being insanely expensive. It would also be great to enable users to upload custom images into the platform itself, i.e. brand logos. There is also no option to export all visuals as HTML5 to be placed onto websites. For pricing, we hope there will be a Non-Profit discount offered for organisations in our industry as it will help Non-Profits to adopt the same best practices as a corporate, given the tools they need to improve their workflow or processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to share ideas, including the process of elimination, and then prioritise them. This has to be done visually. With Lucidspark, we were able to do this just as we would using physical coloured post-it notes without wasting paper. When COVID-19 forced us to work remotely, we had to think of ways where the same collaborative environment can be simulated. With users connected into Lucidspark, we could achieve this during our video conferences and still get almost the same visual representation of a collaborative whiteboard. We no longer needed to take pictures after a session is done; everyone was given a softcopy at the end of each session.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you use Google's Jamboard frequently, have a feel for Lucidspark's trial offer first. While they are both visual collaboration platforms, Lucidspark is much smoother to use and more enjoyable.

Great tool for real time interactive virtual brainstorming

  • April 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool has a quick learning curve. Having a new user able to double click to add virtual sticky notes within a minute or less of use is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting information out of the tool is painful. The .csv export of data isn't intuitively organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can get information from dozens (even hundreds) of people in an extremely short time frame. It is collaborative, people can vote on/rank/emoji other people's ideas, fostering greater engagement.
