LucidChart missing key functionality that competitors possess
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, ease of license management for Enterprise users
What do you dislike about the product?
Two-way Jira/ADO synchronization with Custom Fields still not possible after all these years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to collaborate with remote teams, but it creates extra work because of a lack of Jira/ADO integration using Custom Fields.
Not very intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I like accesibility and ability to collaborate across teams and companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not very intuitive when it comes to navigation, permissions and approval process. Where was not an easy way to request to get access. Although I am a new user for this space.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helped to consolidate summary of who is responsible for what so its easier to direct requests to the right people.
Very good system for creating visualizations from scratch, needs a solution for regimented data
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is amazing for creating visualizations for my presentations. I always use Lucid as a tool to flowchart things, create visuals, or to map things out live with my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is timeline capability, but it has not been easy enough for me to understand. I would like a feature or plug-in that allows me to create visualizations for timelines quickly an easily (Ex. Maybe port timelines directly from smartsheet into a lucid template timeline). If this capability exists, it has not been explained welll from an end-user perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's only solving the diagramming workflow problems, it's a breeze and is easy to use!
Overall useful tool with a slightly finicky UI
What do you like best about the product?
The core product and available templates are very nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using it for the first time is confusing. It seems certain templates only allow for certain things to be done. A template should be just a template but the user should be able to work in it like a sandbox. I remember trying to build a chart that was a bit between templates and having a difficult time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing the workflow I have in front of me and portraying this information to other stakeholders. I am working through these problems right now.
LucidChart
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the ease of use, it was simple to use, but similar enough to Visio that knowing Visio made it easy to adapt
What do you dislike about the product?
What I didn't like about it was the abiltiy to save the LucidChart documents to a one drive or sharepoint. I could only do a file save, which left the document in the cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is web only, so there is no deployment of the software and compatibility testing that would need to be performed. That also presents the problem of how to work offline, your documents are only online and there is no software on the laptop so you can't work off the grid on documents.
Mostly Intuitive and Solid UI
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive and easy to jump into. Use it mostly for workflow and charting functionality and works really well for that.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difference between LucidChart and Spark aren't readily apparent for someone who is collaborating-trying to dive in and hit the ground running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helpful for creating polished resources or documentation for business cases
Easy for the experienced, not so easy for the beginner
What do you like best about the product?
When it comes to creating and designing business processes the visual collaboration suite is unmatched. I like that I can show my team things and we can work through them together in real time.
What do you dislike about the product?
My beginner project management, business analyst team members struggle with knowing formats and content to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating processes that can be changed easily in real time with a group. This makes our team colloboration much more valuable/productive.
Good experiencing porting from Mira
What do you like best about the product?
So far, best feature was porting boards from Miro, had hesitations at first but objects were ported correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't had any bad experience with Lucid yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to architect up solutions with ease to collab and present on with regards to data pipelines
Easy to Use Visual Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is my favorite thing about Lucid. I also appreciate that it is collaborative and there are layers that can be added to break things down further or by who contributed to the document. I use this every day in my implementations and it's useful to visualize how certain integrations work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The arrows when moving them are WILD. If I have a complex visual I am creating and need to rearrange and there are many decision points, the arrows are a pain to fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid solves the ability to explain how a process works by breaking things down visually to show a user how a system will be implemented and work
Quick visuals
What do you like best about the product?
Simple, lots of templates, makes pretty charts.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI could use a little improvement, the way arrows snap to objects needs to be more granular.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping visual learners get the most of information sharing sessions.
