Helpful tool for software architecture
What do you like best about the product?
I like all the features when deciding what different things I want in my diagram. I also like many of the additional icons that they provide that I can include in my diagram so that I don't have to go online and get them myself. Also, the user interface is super simple and easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The connections between the boxes can be a little finicky at times. The lines can become difficult to manage and move around, and I'm still not quite how they work.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am generating design templates for my engineering projects. it's helping me better organize and prioritize my workflow
Nails basic ERD needs, but some assembly required
What do you like best about the product?
A good selection of templates, shapes, and intuitive UI makes it easy to jump in and start diagraming. Basic ERD and schema diagram creation is seamless with the starter templates. Collaboration and sharing with team members is also incredibly simple with the document sharing functionality. Custom templates are also incredibly useful for tailoring diagrams to my organization's needs and are great when combined with Lucidspark's provided templates. Exporting documents is also very easy with multiple options for file types and the ability to export specific sections of a diagram.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the custom templates feature is excellent, it can be challenging to customize certain templates to your specific needs. Applying spacing and styling changes to multiple elements is also not as intuitive as I'd like. Another small issue I noticed is arrows between shapes would not default to my last used style and instead picked a random change. It's not a dealbreaker, but was definitely noticeable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark has streamlined my process of creating database diagrams. ERDs, star schemas, concept models, and more are easy to make with the provided templates and the custom templates I've created. Lucidspark has also improved my collaborative process with team members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great for general database diagram needs, especially among small teams that need to collaborate on diagrams. Some time and effort is definitely required to customize charts and templates to your organization's needs. Still, after that initial time investment, Lucidspark becomes a powerful tool for creating, editing, and sharing database diagrams.
Lucidchart makes it easy to collaborate and create workflows.

easy to collaborate
What do you dislike about the product?
It was challenging at first to add users to teams and determine how each user could view documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidchart makes workflow sharing simpler. There is no need to find or worry that you have the most recent document version.
Lucidchart also makes it easier to collaborate with others across different organizations.

Great platform for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It's a great product for anyone who is looking for collaboration with individuals or teams like peer-2-peer designing. I very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think of anything at this point to dislike about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was collaborating with the team to design a software feature (DFDs, HLDs). It has tons of predefined options to choose from to start quickly.
Expands the mind
What do you like best about the product?
The tools that you use to share your thinking with the world, shape your thinking. Word, PPT, Canva...a flipchart...they're all pretty similar with the idea of a page as a finite space. Lucidspark is great at letting you expand beyond a page and is great for those managing projects, workflow or relationships that don't have neat chapters and when interdependency is a key part of what you want to communicate. It's also 'neutral'...it's not pretty, it focuses on cause and effect and relation and so it's a good tool to clarify thinking. It's easily editable by others so it's really helpful to help check thinking, or to summarise complex processes and check these. It's a great tool for a consultant in that regard.
What do you dislike about the product?
UX could be 'sexier' and none of the templates seem to ever quite fit my purpose - but over time you just re-use and re-purpose your own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thinking through complex projects with interdependencies, especially data flows, where start and end points can usefully be ever expanded. Checking thinking with other departments and teams. Providing documentation of core processes and relationships, stakeholders, roles and responsibilities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think if you're a consultant, or work with workflow then its uses are pretty immediately clear and it becomes difficult to go back to the limits of a page and to PPT especially. It's not a project management tool but it's a great communication aid for project managers in the early scoping stages and also in working with stakeholders and getting everyone's information to look the same way and be linked together.
