The could-based Visio alternative that checks all the boxes
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart makes it extremely easy to visualize information quickly and effectively. I'm consistently impressed the more that I learn about the tool and have come to use it as a part of my daily work personally and professionally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frankly , the only part of the product that I don't love is the experience of creating and using custom images / icons. I wish that a brand's core content (logos, ect) could be shared across all chart creation environments without having to manually enable that library within each new chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to get better visibility into daily processes and deveiefs from meetings. I'm certainly more productive coming out of beings as the whole group has been aligned on what actually needs to be done, in a visual format. This doesn't replace traditional project tracking, but makes brainstorming that much easier.
Excellent tool for collaborative diagramming
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid chart provides a fast, easy-to-use tool for collaborating and charting. We use it regularly for designing and mapping logic flows in our software.
What do you dislike about the product?
It begins to bog down my browser when having many tabs open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lucid Chart primarily for mapping out logical flows for front-end and back-end software development.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As far as charting solutions are concerned, Lucid Chart seems to tick all the boxes.
Quick and Easy Diagramming, Easy Collaboration with Embedding on Confluence, etc.
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the integrated ability to embed a diagram on confluence for easy viewing and collaboration. Teammates can open the chart and edit it themselves!
What do you dislike about the product?
There was definitely a learning curve and my first chart took longer than I had hoped, but once I got the hang of it, the next one went more smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving communication between engineers and management about a new product that has some ambiguity.

Diagramming problems are what are being solved with Lucidchart, I'm unsure if my company is benefiting financially from it but the product is convenient for productivity

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of importing a data model. You have made this user experience so simple and save me a ton of time. The tool paid for it's self in one day.
Making an ER diagram after that was so simple. Love how easy it is to change the connectors.
I love that the AWS shapes are all available as well.
I found the tool super easy to use, and I will continue to use it for all diagramming.

What do you dislike about the product?
As with all things that are continually improving, the you tube videos that I watched to see how to get things done were out of date. This is understandable when new versions and functionality comes out. I was able to quickly figure out what I was trying to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have a data model to use for training new employees and just for overall documentation of our process. As I said above, the tool paid for itself in this alone.

What do you like best about the product?
Visually pleasing and easy-to-use (almost fun).
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't have much to say here as I haven't (yet) encountered any significant issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visual process flows for accounting/finance operations.
Lucidchart makes it easy to create and manage charts, flows and visualizations.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the robust amount of templates that make it easy to visualize info for slides, intranet pages and process flows.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little quirky. There are some actions I can easily do in excel that I can't in lucidchart which can be annoying but doesn't keep me from using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are leveraging lucidchart to visualize information that can be complicated or confusing to communicate in a list. For example, Org charts, process flows, training materials.

Easy user interface, intuitive, and very useful for creating diagrams

It's mostly good but my only challenge has been sharing Lucidcharts with others. They don't make it as easy as it should be

It is easy to find the right shape by searching. Shapes are up to date. A lot of attention has been paid to details such as the position of the connection points on shapes.

The web-based interface takes a little getting used to when coming from an application such as Visio.

Sharing a chart that involves several people to complete is simple using Lucid Chart

What do you like best about the product?
Easy drag and drop interface, very easy to collaborate with colleagues. The templates are better than other similar platforms. I haven't used the data integration options, but looking at the documentation I see there are various options to bring data into the diagrams, dinamically.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used draw.io before, and when comparing both I can't find a fault with lucidhart. The only downside of using a cloud platform is data security - most of our data is confidential hence the diagrams can contain dummy data only.
