Easy for Illustrations
What do you like best about the product?
Usability of the tool is really a big plus.
Most options are self-explanatory, and can use from the get go.
Best alternative I have seen to Visio.

Lucid Chart
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy that the interface is very clean and well shown. The gridlines are very helpful being already present. I like that you can pre-create a shape once it gets to the end of a link. Printing options are very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you press enter and have a list it leaves the shape (don't know why I need to hold another button for this). I wish moving around things was easier sometimes (i.e. with swimlanes, it will move everything). I had to google how to do this by locking things. After learning of the lock feature, this was a lot better, but not knowing it/not having it presented made things difficult for a while.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I (think) I will really like the ability to collaborate actively with Lucidchart. I have only used Visio before and had to move to Lucidchart because I have a Mac now. It is pretty self-explanatory which was nice. At least coming from Visio it was. Mostly creating process flows.
Lucidchart - One stop for all diagrams and flows
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart provides a lot of icons, shapes and symbols to make use of your diagrams and flow charts. It makes a great fit for my use in architecture diagram creations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, nothing I can think of right now. The arrow creation for creating a flow between the source and target sometimes doesn't work as expected easily. This is one area of improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating technical architecture diagrams that would help us solve the problem statement is where I use Lucidchart. The simplicity in creating one using the available icons make it a great fit.
Overall easy and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchat makes it easy to create diagrams, connect the components, add additional text and hyperlinks. I particularly like the ability to have multiple tabs that become separate pages when the document is saved as a PDF.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is slow, very slow at times even when I have a very rapid internet connection. Furthermore, the list of documents often does not refresh and show the correct content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create business structure diagrams. I often do this while on call with clients to give them a visual of what their scenario looks like. I then enhance the chart before sending a copy. Clients love it.
Great system that's very easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to use. Very easy to make color coordinated process flows. I love that you can customize the shapes and the text within. I've been using it to creat a "slides" next to my diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There needs to be more tools to edit images. I have to switch to microsoft paint to do simple things that I should be able to do in Lucid. I would love to be able to add an image and then easily modify that image. I love the select tool on Paint because you can easily erase things on the actual image or move things in the image around. I have not found an easy way to manipulate images in Lucid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anytime I need something visual, I turn to lucid chart. I've even been using it more now than powerpoint to get basic things across. Its a great platform to convery complicated ideas easier. I like how you can link one lucid to another because I can have a very simple flow and within that flow link to other more complicated flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lucidchart is a much better version of Visio and it's very easy to learn.
A great way to illustrate concepts and process flows
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy to use the product is. It is much more intuitive than some of its main competitors particularly from Microsoft. It also has a lot of integrations with programs that I already use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It seemed like there was quite a bit of upselling. As I used lucid chart and wanted to use more premium integrations and Lucid spark which I understand is more charts and what not, I was prompted with the need to get a different subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a lot of the complex teams is difficult to understand how we get from start to finish. This product helps solve for that and explain each step on a more granular level.
Extremely Powerful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is easy to learn and is designed with the user in mind. It is a great tool to build processes and flowcharts in a professional setting. What I like the most is that connections remain connected as you reorganize a process, and you can customize the trail of those connections. I attempted to create a process diagram using Powerpoint (I thought it would be easy as PowerPoint is a powerful tool) but it was not easy to do so. As soon as I had to reorganize the process, I had problems. Luicidchart was the perfect tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least about Lucidchart is that it limits the number of actions you can take in a process on the free version. However, my work subscribes to the paid version and it is well worth it in my opinion. If you can get access to it through work, use it! As for the program itself, I have not encountered anything that I have disliked yet. It is easy to learn and easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving internal process design for managing our sales team. Laying out the process for managing communications, progressing relationships and closing deals with clients was easily created and defined using Lucidchart. It is easy for confusion to exist when there are multiple points of contact with a client, but having a process for that communication process makes it efficient to manage. The benefit is a transparent process for the entire sales and estimating team to follow when dealing with clients.
Large set of features for any industry that needs to diagram
What do you like best about the product?
They have diagrams for just about anything under the sun. Software and UML are covered, basic design is covered, etc. And its all in the browser so no need to download another application for your laptop. Support is also quick to respond to questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance can be rough sometimes, at least it was for me on Firefox Linux. I would get frozen screens if I selected too many parts at one time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software design for the most part is what I use LucidChart for. Behavioral, class, and use case diagrams are what we use it for at my job
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to move org boxes with ease and saves the work automatically
What do you dislike about the product?
at times was too sensitive where it duplicates and/or added org boxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to be printing org charts anymore. Every time there is a change you just process and saves automatically. It saves so much time and paper. Love that is digital and can keep the data to go back to it if need to be.
User friendly and eye catching
What do you like best about the product?
color looks nice. easy to create diagrams. a lot of templates available
What do you dislike about the product?
ask me to upgrade when I was creating diagrams in the middle. didn't give me notice before
