I was looking for an easy to use flow-chart maker and LucidChart checked all my boxes.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple it is to get going. Seconds after I started I was already a master at many of LucidCharts features. It quickly became my team's go-to collaboration software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the arrows that it automatically draws between items aren't very clean or good-looking and I have to edit it manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped my team increase efficiency and communication between members by allowing us to to share our thoughts and express our ideas more clrearly.
Visual Delight
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to us all essential flowchart elements just like Microsoft Visio and in some occassions better than Visio.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the tool can allow automatic aligment of elements as per the size of the element and the whole page of the diagram. That can speed up the work of the user even faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first problem it is solving is being an alternative to Microsoft Visio for those who use a Mac and do not have the Microsoft 365 license
It is better in terms of the ability to auto save and provide reference to the history and versions from the past

Powerful and Intuitive Tool for Seamless Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has become an essential part of our workflow for planning, brainstorming, and aligning our team on complex projects. Its intuitive drag-and-drop interface and vast template library make it easy for anyone on the team to jump in and start collaborating, regardless of their technical skill level. The integration with other tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Google Workspace is a huge plus, allowing us to seamlessly bring data and updates into our visualizations. Real-time collaboration features, such as simultaneous editing and comments, make remote teamwork effortless and ensure everyone stays on the same page. The Suite's flexibility across various use cases—flowcharts, wireframing, and organizational charts—makes it versatile and adaptable to multiple departments within our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Lucid offers a robust set of features, the pricing can feel a bit steep for smaller teams, especially if not every team member needs all the premium features. Additionally, some advanced features (such as integrations with high-end tools) are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can limit flexibility for users on a budget. Occasionally, more complex documents can feel sluggish or require a longer loading time, especially when a lot of visuals are involved. However, overall, these drawbacks are minor compared to the value it brings to our collaborative processes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a software engineer, Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite has streamlined our process for creating, sharing, and iterating on software architecture and design diagrams. It effectively addresses the challenge of visually mapping complex systems, enabling us to break down components and relationships in a way that’s easily digestible for the entire team. Real-time collaboration allows stakeholders to provide feedback directly on diagrams, reducing the need for lengthy back-and-forth discussions and ensuring everyone is aligned on the architecture early in the development process. Lucid’s vast template selection and customizable components make it straightforward to illustrate high-level architecture or dive into detailed technical workflows. This clarity and collaborative functionality ultimately save time, minimize miscommunication, and lead to better-designed software solutions.
Great collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Great way to collaborate with coworkers and external clients alike. Whether in person or working purely remotely, it is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes a little time to get used to compared to other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing solutions for clients.
Could use more arrows
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of different templates I can utalise
What do you dislike about the product?
Did not meet my most recent needs, I could not find any decent arrows which is dissapoiting. Wanted to upload a image and have arrows point at key information while providing a text description
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Can create easy Processing mapping (BPMN 2.0)
A nice way to make diagrams and flow charts for engineers
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty intuitive to use the basic functions, and there's a wide variety of tools to bring to the chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was very difficult to get access through my company to a Lucid license. I also didn't like that before I had my license I couldn't view document history which seems like a very basic functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making complex collaborative graphs
Supercharged collaboration on diagramming
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that multuple can edit at the same time. Instead of passing around a docx or a slide deck that has your architecture diagram, the collaboration suite gives you the ability to easily edit diagrams as a team as opposed to separately!
What do you dislike about the product?
The cursor interface for showing other people editing the visualization (typically an arhitecture diagram for me) is distracting, can make it more difficult to focus on the task at hand when collaborating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The visual collaboration suite helps me create and present potentially future state architecture diagrams to prospective customers
Efficient Collaboration with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid offers a wide range of visual tools, making it easy to create complex diagrams, workflows, and visual representations. Its cloud-based collaboration allows team members to work together seamlessly in real time, which is particularly helpful for remote teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing structure could be more flexible for smaller teams, and some of the advanced features require more time to learn. Occasionally, there are performance lags when working on larger projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid helps in visualizing complex workflows and processes, which improves communication among team members. The ability to collaborate in real time with remote colleagues eliminates misunderstandings and speeds up decision-making.
Great for mapping down processes - like any whiteboard can become busy
What do you like best about the product?
I can ask for all of my collegues to comments and make suggestions all on one page. Super easy to share and very intuative. I also like the fact that no element is too small - you can keep scrolling in to make the smallest thing large!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get very messy quickly. Especially when working with journey maps there are a lot of elements I want to tie in, but I dont find I can deep dive easily enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently none of our teams have their processes mapped and it is a great tool for really writing down step by step what needs to take place and how that links into other journeys.
