Very useful for creating project architecture diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
Good UI, easy to manage and plugin to Slack + Confluence documentation

Limited number of shapes, takes a while to understand what can and cannot be done.

Helps to create easy-to-understand visuals about project architecture and map out all the components in a project

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I was able to create a chart from the description using AI tool. Also very easy to embed into Guru page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the UI is slightly overwhelmed with tools for someone who log ins for the first tiem. Would be great to have an onboarding guide to go through all the capabilities.

We are using Lucid to draw flows and design ERDs.
Great tool with lots of flexibility for uses.
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility in its uses. Combining different types of data, whether it be diagrams, data tables, presentation style meetings. The ability to share and collaborate with other users as well as giving restricted access to view and the ease of this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Havevn't been able to maxmise its ability, seems like there is a lot of tools on there that I haven't even touched. Templates are useful to guide but access or more highlited access to quick guides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combine multiple types of diagrams, text description, file links into once location for a single project, linking it all together.
Good tool for visualizations and teamwork.

I mostly like the variety of different visualization options. You can practically do anything in one tool.

The learning curve is quite steep for novice users and it takes some time to get used to the app.

We work with a lot of hard data, so turning events and numbers into visuals is of a great help.

One downside of the Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is that it can become expensive for larger teams or organizations due to its subscription pricing model.

Solves the problem of remote and team collaboration on complex projects by providing intuitive, real-time tools for creating and sharing visual content like diagrams, flowcharts, and mind maps
Great, but the free plan is too limited to actually use.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid looks great, is easy to use and functions well as a Visio alternative. Exporting to SVG is a surprisingly great feature that I now judge Visio for not having.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan hits a paywall hard by limiting the number of files and objects in a file. You normally discover this limit when you are far too deep into the chart you are making.

Lucid chart is great for doing fault tree and event tree analysis. However, there are no dedicated graphics for this.

The AI model feature is great and can help generate an awesome starting point for any charts or data models you're trying to build. There are a lot of customization features that will definitely help get your point across.
Pretty easy to setup and get started. Haven't worked with customer suppor though. I'd use this more frequently if it wasn't so complicated to setup a large API data model.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you're using the free trial AND the AI generator - it'll create more shapes than are "allowed" in your chart. When you try to edit something, and possibly delete it - you cannot add it back in, and Undo does not work either.
Not being able to edit the colors of individual cells in an endpoint list is kind of annoying. You can only edit the full color of the thing, or turn on alternating colors.

It's helping me build internal data models for my team and giving us the opportunity to better communicate the structure of our API internally and externally.
Useful tool for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid provides a useful tool for brainstorming, collaborating, and staying organized across goals, projects, and teams. It's very intuitive and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there's the feature to follow the presenter, it can be difficult to keep everyone focused on the same thing. When we present to teams, we get a lot of "where are we now" questions. It would be useful if there was a way to group or organize sections for presentation and more clearly highlight the spot to be looking at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company has affiliates, and staff across affiliates all need to be informed and involved in collaborating. Lucid makes this possible by providing a space where we can all login to the same whiteboard and have clarity on what's going on with each other's work. It reduces the need for meetings and keeps us all informed and on the same page.
