Great diagramming tool that encourages collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to collaborate using this tool! Since it is web-based, you don't run into any issues working between Mac<->PC. There are also multiple options for sharing (email, link, Slack...). The ability to Publish files has been a great help too, as this generates a permanent link we can share with non-Lucid users or post on our internal knowledge bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't run into any major pain points so far. Sometimes the tool is a bit finnicky when diagramming, but it's not a huge issue.
There can be a bit of a learning curve to use more advanced features (full disclosure: I have not checked out the help center yet).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us document our internal processes, of which there are many. As part of a Product/Engineering team, it has also been extremely useful for mapping out flows for proposed new features or product changes to help everyone get on the same page.
Great for process mapping
What do you like best about the product?
I have found that file management in Lucid remotely is actually better than MS Visio, as it is a SaaS application, allowing access from virtually anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is only one area that I have provided negative feedback and that is the inability to add/edit status types.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once I have created an initial process flow, I often collaborate with team members, which is much easier in a SaaS application.
A good alternative fix
What do you like best about the product?
I had to use it as a quick substitute to Miro - I found it very intuitive to use, nice colours and there was a variety of tools such as timing, presentation building mode and it was also collaborative with zoom which could be handy for meetings
What do you dislike about the product?
It was annoying to have to click and drag a size for a post it note, I'd rather just click and drag, I also felt limited with the amount I could do on the trial version however, I imagine it would be worth it to purchase it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration over an interactive board which can be shared across a variety of people from the same or a different organisation. This has helped in ideation meetings where users can quickly input ideas rather than having to rely on one person having to input them
great experience while using lucid spark

Easy to use, would be even better with more capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to use and has the basics needed for flow charts and mapping out experiment designs, which is what we mainly use it for.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could use more flexibility and ease in formatting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team mostly uses Lucidchart for mapping out CRM workflows and experiment designs. It's convenient to share these with cross-functional partners and get everyone aligned.
It made my life easy when I want to prepare any architecture diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
The icon suit is great and don't to search anything in google to pull the icon what i need. No hassle to export the diagram in a disered format.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not so far i can mention here. I am happy with the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Earlier I am using the Microsoft PPT to design any diagrams and now with Lucid, i don't have any problems like downloading icons and i can play around wider options available.
Very useful for capturing design ideas/thoughts and architecture landscape.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to quickly document the design ideas and use of icons.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. Everything is acceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provide the ability to document design ideas and process diagrams for business needs. It makes me productive.
Makes virtual work infinitely more collaborative
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which I can put together a diagram and have it presentation-ready to share with a client is unsurpassed by any other diagramming software I've used. That ease of use leads to more insights because I spend less time fighting with the tool and more time asking the questions that matter. Doing that level of diagramming live during a virtual meeting is a huge time-saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few finicky things that can be annoying from time to time - certain situations where you can't change the shape of an item after content has already been added is mildly irritating. Having a "adjust line to best fit" option for those occasions when you've moved things all around and have line/connection spaghetti would be a nice feature in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting clients with diagrams of business processes, technical architecture, and design thinking all in one unified output and with a consistent graphical format is huge for our business deliverable consistency and quality. Having one tool be my go-to for anything remotely diagrammable is a big win. Often, we can incorporate the integrations with Azure DevOps and Jira to provide valuable deliverables for client projects without another manual entry point.
Essential tool for my day to day job!
What do you like best about the product?
It is very user-friendly and easy to create a flow within minutes. I usually build the flow while talking with customers and make sure that everyone is on the same page while designing architectures.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I would spend some time looking for a specific feature (ie. cosmetic stuffs in the flows).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building architectures, interactions with systems, or business flows.
Great diagramming tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's SaaS cloud based tool that can be accessed easily through any devices via web browser. Toolkit has a lot of functions to facilitate collaborations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a diagramming tool and not really an architecture modeling tool, and so not 100% meeting the needs of architects in the software industry. Because it's not a modeling tool, Lucid Chart cannot person technology analysis and reporting functions that would make it invaluable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a sound software architecture diagramming tool that facilitate ease of collaborations internal and external to our team. Lucid Chart fits that need very well to get us started, but as we mature a true architecture modeling tool to supplement or replace will still be necessary.
