Absolutely Destroys MSVisio
What do you like best about the product?
Super simple to use. Requires virtually no training/experimentation to complete the basics. Things just work how you expect them to. There's some stuff for advanced users too.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no dedicated Lucidchart file type that's exportable. I think you can export files as like a LucidSpark (which is something different), PDF, or Visio file, but no dedicated Lucidchart file type (I think).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I absolutely despise MSVisio. Lucidchart is just so much better, user friendly, modern. I like how they keep adding quality of life improvements. I'm pretty sure Visio has been the same product for like 5 years.
Love using Lucidspark
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity in working with the app is what I like best. I don't have to spend much time figuring out how to interact with any components. I also like switching between my laptop and iPad with my pencil.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a consultant, I must share my work in Lucidspark with my clients. I prefer the ability to allow them to interact more with any diagrams I put together, such as the ability to add comments, emojis, etc. Right now, I'm doing this manually during a discussion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly identifying user needs and requirements for those that I am consulting with. Being able to put together something visually that is easy to understand that can be shared with necessary audiences.
Must-have multi-purpose tool for easy team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The friendly UI does not require any training, so anyone can just hop on the tool and add their content. We use it on the daily for flowcharts and other work processes to keep the team aligned. The tool has helped improve productivity and team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of features that may help create more complex and intuitive charts. For example, Prezi's Zoom Reveal feature organizes information in buckets and lays it out in a clean way that's less overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned its helped us organize and visualize the way we execute certain day-to-day tasks - this is most helpful when onboarding new employees who find it very useful to follow through if they feel lost.
Lucidspark has been an invaluable collaboration tool for our team!
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is very user-friendly and easy to pick up. Within minutes, I was able to create flowcharts and collaborate with my team. Its an invaluable collaboration tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
Improvements could be made to the UI. For example, connector lines don't cleanly adjust when you move elements around, and you need to spend a lot of time readjusting them. Fixing these minor glitches would make a big difference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our team to visualize internal workflows, discuss as a team, and improve our processes. We hope to create Worfont project plans based on these workflows and improve our effectiveness and efficiency.
Maximise group ideation with Lucidspark
What do you like best about the product?
I particularly appreciate that Lucidspark provides visual aids and summaries. This makes the task of digesting a lot of information much easier than dealing with raw data or abstractions alone. The user experience is intuitive, allowing me to quickly discover what features are available and how to successfully navigate my workspace. It also includes a number of helpful organisational tools, such as task tracking, that allow teams (even if partially remote) to stay organised across multiple projects at once!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that the number of elements in Lucidspark's sheets includes illustrations of their applications, making it difficult to add more elements. I found this odd at first, but once I understood what was going on, I removed them so that I could continue to use my sheet. Of course, certain features may be improved or developed when someone upgrades to a premium version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark allows me to easily capture our ideas and creativity during a session. This allows me to revisit the recordings and conversations at any time without having missed small details or nuances from the first time we discussed them.
The most effective internet charting tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the versatility and customisability of Lucidchart, which makes it easy for me to create professional-looking charts in a short time. With its intuitive UX interface, I can adjust settings for specific projects or develop a comprehensive design plan with minimal effort. It has powerful tools that allow me to accurately draw shapes in my flowcharts and incorporate graphics for more effective presentations. Its cross-platform integration adds another layer of convenience - allowing users from different platforms to collaborate without compatibility issues
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I find Lucidchart quite useful, but I do have a few criticisms. Firstly, the free version does not offer Times New Roman as a font option, which can be inconvenient for certain projects. Secondly, although I'm aware that there is an editing area available for users to work with within this platform, adjusting its size and orientation (e.g. letter paper) does not seem to be possible, or at least easily accessible, to me as yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm benefiting from Lucidchart's ability to visualise processes quickly and clearly. It's combination of visuals, charts and graphs helps me to present complex developments in a straightforward and visually appealing way.
Ensure full support for remote working
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is an incredibly user-friendly tool that is perfect for working remotely. Not only does it offer all the features you need, but its timer and polling system make collaboration even easier. With these built-in features, team members can easily stay on track during meetings without having to manually track or complete tasks separately from the group. The polling feature also allows me to understand the discussion of an entire meeting more quickly, so I don't have to spend time sorting through everyone's individual thoughts one by one - making overall collaboration faster and smoother than before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Lucidspark Whiteboard difficult to use due to small text sizes and confusing left-to-right and up-and-down scrolling. There is also limited clarity around user permissions on the platform. It also seems unclear how sticky notes interact with users' tasks or who they are assigned to. To improve this experience, larger font size options would be beneficial, as well as greater transparency regarding the allocation of permissions between users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With LucidSpark, I no longer have to worry about project protocols or how each organisation fits together. Instead, I can use visuals and layouts to easily explain the process and move projects forward quickly.
Great collaborative whiteboard brought our mindstorming into next level.
What do you like best about the product?
Two months ago, I tried Lucidchart's collaborative whiteboard for the first time and found it helpful. Before, I had used Lucidspark only for creating flowcharts to visualize processes and projects for higher executives. It allowed me to quickly create new graphs illustrating ideas and share them with my team because of its simple and efficient interface. The board's drag-and-drop elements make it really simple to move and change the size of elements and modify existing templates to fit the needs of a specific meeting. Lucidspark is also great for teamwork, as my team and I can work together on the same file.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't find any negative points about Lucid software. When I first started using Lucidspark, I felt a bit overwhelmed, and it took a while to set up the data input spreasheets and make small changes to the default template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucidspark has many of the same collaboration tools and templates we used in Miro, making it easy to sketch a user flow and organize our thoughts quickly. The whiteboard in Lucidchart has improved our team's ability to develop new ideas and visualize concepts. It has become essential for our project development.
Very easy to use existing templates to create quick visual aides.
What do you like best about the product?
Automatically saves the most recent version and allows for easy-to-use templates to save some time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to have an easier option to insert text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier way to create and design visuals for internal projects.
Great tool a bit cumbersome at beginning
What do you like best about the product?
It's an excellent app for collaborative work, everyone can share their ideas in real-time, and it has a lot of tools and shapes to use. Much better that using a shared document in Google Docs or Office Online.
What do you dislike about the product?
Usage is a bit confusing at the beginning. Panning and zooming is not intuitive, and sometimes when panning right-click is stuck and causes undesirable moves. Maybe it could use some more standard ways of doing things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a small team (10-12 users), and most of the time, we must join remotely to improve a design, discuss some implementation details, or organize a workflow. We found LucidSpark a great tool in these cases, as everyone could be in front of the same piece of paper.
