Great diagramming tool
What do you like best about the product?
Generally easy to use, able to share diagrams with colleagues, like the interface much better than other diagramming tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major downsides. My biggest issue is I sometimes get 'stuck' on a symbol (like a line) and will accidentally insert that symbol when I didn't mean to. User error, not necessarily a flaw with the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a single source of truth that can be collaborated on with the whole team. Ease of use.
Ideal for conceptual maps and organisational diagrams
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the power and flexibility that LucidSpark provides. It's advanced arrow system ensures that all cells remain uniquely connected, while giving users control over who can access documents and how they are used. In addition, its open source nature encourages collaboration between people from all over the world in a secure environment. One of my favourite features is the history feature, which makes it easy to develop new procedures by simply replicating those already created.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find using Lucidspark frustrating due to the difficulty of navigating through the canvases. The minimap at the bottom of my screen is difficult to use; no matter how many times I try to click and drag or press the arrow keys, nothing happens. As a result, it's very inconvenient when working on large canvases or sharing them with other people in real time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm benefiting from Lucidspark because it makes it easier and more efficient to collaborate with my remote team. It allows us to brainstorm, organise and share ideas digitally using digital tools that mimic the flexibility of a whiteboard but are far more functional.
Organized, functional, intuitive, and highly customizable
What do you like best about the product?
As part of the software engineering discipline, Lucidchart gets the basics right, like UML, timing, and ERDs. From a process perspective, flowcharts are super simple. Auto-complete features will automatically label and style your flowcharts making them really impressive and easily shareable to coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
When diagrams get really large, the application tends to slow down. No integration with Office 365 docs for data linking as of this review, but it's coming soon. Integration with Azure DevOps is pretty weak, too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating on concepts across multiple disciplines is incredibly easy, especially with everyone at the company having licenses. Our team has been able to create wireframes without special tool training and has shown them to many users in research studies.
Good diagramming software
What do you like best about the product?
Templates and available symbols. Variety of diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
Expensive as my employer does not provide by default
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy diagrams
Great tool for my work
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidchart is a helpful tool for diagramming process flows for my initiatives at work. I like that Lucidchart is really easy to use and streamlined user experience so I can start diagramming vs. spending a lot of time figuring out how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I disliked about the experience occurred when I tried using the existing templates. Rather than leveraging the template colors, it defaulted to white when I added new shapes to the diagram. This was a minor annoyance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Lucidchart to map existing workflows to onboard new colleagues to a project.
Easier than Visio
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Visio for over 20 years. Lucidcharts was extremely easy to pick up and create stunning network diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found very many downsides (yet). Maybe my answer is in the tutorials but I do not like not being able to add Connectors to pictures. Some network equipment does not have visio drawings for import. So I take a picture of the device and I would like to be able to add line connectors (network Cables).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to create network diagrams and documentation. I must provide detailed drawings of how everything is connected. The charts are used internally by other engineers for troubleshooting and future planning and also by the customer to better assist with remote installations and troubleshooting.
Increased collaboration!
What do you like best about the product?
Processing thoughts visually and the increase in asynchronous collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tools are not as user friendly or intuitive as they could be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid provides a single repository for our Product and Technology workflows and diagrams. Keeping everything in one place allows for asynchronous collaboration and the breakdown of siloed decision-making.
Fluid and User-Friendly Collaborative Whiteboard Software
What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark has novel features like ability to vote on cards, react to others' cards, etc. The entire product has been designed with collaboration as the focal point.
What do you dislike about the product?
A good platform tour covering all features is required. There are many features which are there on the platform but unknown to users. Load times on the website are also quite long - a standalone desktop app might be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a template for weekly/fortnightly discussions that require input from all team members and have a well-structured format. If this discussion was done verbally, some points might get missed.
Lucid is a great and easy tool for representing information.
What do you like best about the product?
Lucid was a great and intuitive way to create the diagramming I needed to present information to others. The tools provided make it incredibly easy to pick up and create and represent information with little stress.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it was really easy to use, it was also a little challenging figuring out how to connect different nodes to one another. The default uses the one line arrow, but when I tried to use the easy connections to represent one to many relationships, or simply a heirarchy, I had to use lines from the shape tap instead of being able to draw the lines as easily as I had before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to represent information about process flows and organization structure.
Process mapping newbie
What do you like best about the product?
Click and drag features are easy for someone new to process mapping to figure out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Mobile/iPad app doesn't seem as user-friendly as the desktop version.
** haven't put a lot of time into the mobile/iPad version - it could be a lack of user experience.
** haven't put a lot of time into the mobile/iPad version - it could be a lack of user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking to improve on the lack of formalized processes within the organization. Lucidchart is an easy way to communicate this to employees visually.
