What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
cloud-native identity and device management platform
The only tool I need for device and identity management
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud checked all the boxes I was looking for in a single product. It’s one of the few platforms that actually does both identity and device management well—without needing a Frankenstein stack of tools. I can manage users, enforce security policies, and push out device settings from one place. It’s especially great for remote management across Mac and Windows.
Setup was straightforward, and once it’s running, it mostly just works. Compared to other options I looked at, it felt more cohesive. I appreciate that it was built with smaller teams in mind, not just enterprise IT departments.

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is mostly clean, but sometimes it feels like things are tucked a little too deep. A few features (especially some policy settings) could be easier to find or more clearly explained. I'd also like to see either custom policy settings, or more options rolled out more quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets me manage both users and devices in one place, which means I don’t need to juggle multiple tools to handle identity, security policies, and system access. It replaces the need for traditional domain controllers or cobbled-together open-source solutions, especially in a remote-first setup. I needed something that just WORKED consistently without tons of tinkering, and it delivers strongly. I have never had an issue using it.
The big win is not having to choose between good device management or strong identity management—I get both. It’s streamlined onboarding and offboarding, made policy enforcement consistent, and gives me full visibility into what’s happening on each device. Saves me time and keeps things secure without adding a ton of complexity.

The UI is pleasant and we were able to install profiles after setting them up
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to figure out things at first. For example, "Reset Password" seems hidden in accordions and it's confusing because there is another password dropdown that is a "force change" password.

Effortless Secure User & Device Management with JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
I love JumpCloud’s cloud‑based directory for consolidating user and device management across Windows, macOS, and Linux. Its intuitive policy engine and zero‑trust MFA keep our environment secure, and SSO integrations mean our team logs in to apps seamlessly, all without an on‑prem AD server.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features I’d love to see, most notably conditional access or device‑trust capabilities extending to server logins, which would further strengthen our zero‑trust security posture.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud eliminates the headache of juggling multiple identity stores and device‑management tools by giving us one cloud‑based directory with built‑in SSO, MFA, and policy enforcement. We no longer need an on‑prem AD server, provisioning and deprovisioning happen in minutes, and our security posture is stronger across Windows, macOS, Linux, and cloud apps. This lets our team spend far less time on manual IT tasks and more time on real projects.
Empowered with JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
Unified Identity and Access Management (IAM): This is often cited as the biggest benefit. JumpCloud provides a "single pane of glass" to manage user identities, devices (Mac, Windows, Linux), applications (SAML, LDAP), and networks (RADIUS). This centralization eliminates the need for multiple disparate tools, reducing complexity and administrative overhead.
What do you dislike about the product?
Complexity of Initial Setup/Migration: While JumpCloud aims for simplicity, migrating from an existing directory service (like Active Directory) or setting up complex configurations (e.g., custom RADIUS, intricate Conditional Access Policies) can be challenging and require significant technical expertise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It centralizes identity, access, and device management onto a single platform. This means your IT team no longer has to juggle multiple tools or systems, which reduces operational complexity and administrative "headaches."
Simple and user-friendly!
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean, well-organized, and very beginner-friendly, making it easy to navigate and manage without a steep learning curve. Even for someone new to identity and access management, getting started with JumpCloud feels straightforward. It’s designed in a way that helps you find what you need quickly and get tasks done efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike about JumpCloud is that it’s still missing some integrations with other widely used technologies. While the platform covers many core features well, the lack of seamless integration with certain third-party tools can create extra steps or workarounds. Expanding native support for more external services would make it even more powerful and versatile in diverse IT environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping me centralize access to all my applications through a single identity provider (IdP), which simplifies user management and strengthens security. By having all users authenticate through one platform, I gain much more control over who has access to what, and I can monitor user logins more effectively. This centralized approach not only improves visibility but also reduces the complexity of managing multiple authentication systems.
Jumpclud evaluation
What do you like best about the product?
I like the possibility of enrolling different types of devices easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be better to have an easy-to-see enrollment link (like JAMF provides) instead of having a copy at the bottom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud allow me to management windows and linux devices easily.
