What do you like best about the product?
As every MDM tool the possibility full visibility of all devices on the org. Besides this the fact of including password management and saas management in 1 tool is Super.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particular. At the beginning i struggle a little bit to fully understand the way it works but now I'm good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me a lot to have a better control on Indiecampers laptops. Specially because until now every latop had the same name and we change this because of the arrival of Jumpcloud.

Great MDM service for Mac

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can directly add policies to Mac like restricting device upgrades. The interface is nicely laid out and enrollment is really easy. I love the ability to add a remote login for myself or my boss instead of the default local admin account we add. There's been a few times where the local account was there before I got hired on here and the password I have isnt working so I add my own account and am able to help the user.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Jumpcloud does not play nice with our BeyondTrust PMC software. This software prevents users from installing apps that are not company approved and instantly approves ones that we do like. It's easy to turn it off though, I open a command line and go into an authentication file and temporarily disable JumpCloud long enough for me to install a software, then re-enable it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I don't know the password to the local admin account, I can use JumpCloud to add my remote account to the user's computer and login as an administrator. Also, I can add policies that restrict users from upgrading to the latest Mac OS before all the bugs have been worked out.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how I can centrally manage almost all facets of IT for my organization in an easy to use platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some occasional bugs with software deployment but it usually fixes itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud solves the issue of SSO making it very easy for me to manage and enforce SSO throughout my organization.

A great entry level all-device service

  • May 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can effectively manage all device types from a central place. Great integration with common IdPs and 3rd party applications. The simplified implementation compared more bespoke device specific solutions is the biggest draw. Specific solutions for windows and mac may have better overall controls, but JumpCloud is easier to manage for one person with multiple responsibilities. Customer support is also great, I can pretty quickly get help when I need it, either via the support portal or email.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation can sometimes be hard to find and/or follow. I can use the docs to get started but often find myself having to just experiment with the platform to get something done. That's not always bad, but sometimes can affect end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can cover a lot of of my Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements with Jumpcloud. For me, being a one man shop, it's the most effective way to support linux, mac, and windows devices without having to implement a solution for each platform or risk accepting low oversight.

JumpCloud: The Choice for Unified IT Management and Security

  • May 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is the perfect solution I recommend for any customer who is looking for a replacement for Active Directory. I like to refer to it as a complete software solution. It is also the first thing that pops up in my mind when end users are looking to manage their MAC devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike about JumpCloud, but I do feel that there are areas of improvement in the documentation and end-user content. Some customers have reported missing information, outdated content, and difficulty in locating self-help articles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the fact, it not only takes care of SSO, obliterating the need for Octa. While, also helping with Endpoint management in MAC devices which is something Google does not cater too. Also love the fact that the deployment of the solution isn't complicated as the team is supportive through the entire process.

JumpCloud is a simple, powerful platform that makes managing users and devices easy for IT teams.

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is especially helpful because it brings everything we need into one easy-to-use platform. It allows us to manage users, devices, and access from a single dashboard, irrespective of OS. One of the biggest upsides is that it replaces on-prem directory services like Active Directory by offering a cloud-based alternative. With built-in features like Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and remote device management, JumpCloud makes it simple to secure our environment and support remote or hybrid teams. It's easy to set up, reduces manual work, improves security, and is cost-effective. We use it as our primary Active Directory, and is easily integrated. We are using jumpcloud on daily basis. The customer support times are managable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The policy integrations with Linux are not fully supported after the OS is installed. The package installations can be more intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest problem it is solving is that it replaces the need for traditional on-prem directory services like Active Directory by offering a cloud-based alternative. Also the ability to execute scripts remotely through commands on systems is really helpful which make automation of applying policy throughout organisation easier.
