Good MDM

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having user sso accounts tied to the MDM, and for the most part, it functions as it should. I have used multiple MDM solutions such as jamf, apple MDM, kandji, and air watch.
What do you dislike about the product?
That they still don't have full IOS support for apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SSO and MDM combined, so it's easy to manage users on the devices and track where the machines are. I also like the zero-touch features; I have used them a good bit.

The New IT infrastructure Tool

  • December 14, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud has done a great job at creating an easy-to-manage environment while taking control of your users and fleet.
What do you dislike about the product?
They are still developing their company and are running into some growth problems resulting in the server being unstable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to go with a highly complex resource for a small company has been hugely benificial.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jumpcloud is still creating a stable environment. For a small business, it will do well. Large organizations might want to hold off until they get more traction.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can control every user's computer from one central location. It allows me to enforce the corporate standards from security to software installation and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
The occasional service disruptions are an issue. The UI could be a bit more intuitive to use. Make it more obvious when a change has been committed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing me to implement my SOC2 standards and enforce them very easily.

    Manufacturing

An easy way to deploy and manage devices in a remote world.

  • December 08, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You are able to deploy new devices seamlessly by creating a set of policies and software installs. You can also terminate a device and all of this can be done from anywhere with an internet connection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile device management is now a part of JumpCloud but there is some missing management pieces that could be included such as MDM for Android devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to have all of our systems managed no matter where our users are working which increases our productivity. We can keep devices safe and secure with ongoing software updates as well as keep our logins secure using password manager.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They are constantly making improvements in the ever-changing IT segment.

Fantastic SSO and MDM tool

  • December 08, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having the ability to maintain policies for users and computers, both with Windows and Apple computers. We are able to create accounts, set users with temp admin access, reset passwords and MFAs, and adjust any groups or directories as needed. And, for managing devices, it has worked great with setting up our Macs and PCs in the system. Currently working on setting up Zero Touch Experience and it is a total game changer and is helping our onboarding to speed up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The agent on Mac computers does not work as well as the agents on Windows computers-- loss of connection occurs a lot more frequently and the agent needs to be reinstalled to fix. Recently, the agent was affected more by the release of macOS 12.2.1, but the uninstall/reinstall of the software fixes the issue. Also, what happens sometimes is some users have mentioned that the JumpCloud app on mobile devices it resetting after an update to the app (verified if the app was deleted and it wasn't)-- sometimes users have the accounts on their phones and when they try to login, it doesn't work (MFAs time out or number for TOTP never work, after trying about 4 different versions)-- tried rebooting devices a couple times with no luck, usually the fix has been to remove and re-add accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud is helping us with Single Sign-On and admin privilege adjustments for users, along with managing PCs by setting policies or passwords as needed.

JumpCloud allows us to manage devices and users seamlessly across all platforms

  • December 08, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud makes it easy to manage users and devices, it offers many features out of the box, requiring zero infrastructure. It's just what we were looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a small company and don't really need Directory Insights, now part of the basic package. We would like to be able to pick exactly the feature we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud makes it easy to manage our device's fleet, ensuring security. It is syncing with Office 365/Azure AD, which simplifies password management for our users.

JumpCloud Cloud Directory - Business Review

  • December 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud allows our business to manage Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. On top of that, it was flexible enough to allow us to integrate SSOs and policy groups, both of which were essential for our company. We were able to integrate both Google Workspace and Microsoft Active Directory into JumpCloud as well. I really like the fact that this is a cloud based solution so our IT team can dedicate resources elsewhere instead of to maintenance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, JumpCloud servers go down during business hours, leaving our company stuck with the configurations we have. While this does not happen often, it can be detrimental to business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JumpCloud helps solve the issue of having devices that run different types of OS. We can seamlessly manage any OS and implement directory access for Windows machines. We utilize SSO, policy groups, device groups, OS commands, and more. These, in conjunction, allow for smooth operation of business. Whenever a new technology is released that we want to integrate within JumpCloud, given a short amount of time usually the connection is available. We have made SSO integrations between our ERP systems, Helpdesk systems, email, phone systems, and more. JumpCloud solves these issues by not discriminating based on OS types. This allows anyone of any device OS to receive the same benefits.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider all the integrations you have and will need in the future. JumpCloud supports all kinds of integrations from SSO, Active Directory, and device and policy management. This is a cloud directory system and will not require any kind of hardware setup other than installs on user machines.

JumpCloud DaaS for the future

  • December 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
JumpCloud is a great product because it allows me to have a good amount of administrative control over our widely distributed workforce. There is nothing else quite like it that we could find.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been a small number of outages recently. However, JumpCloud management has jumped right on the issue and is working to eliminate that downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue we wanted to resolve was the ownership of our hardware in the field, JumpCloud allows us to secure the device remotely, should the need arise. It also allows us to move users quickly between machines in remote locations.

Great Substitute for AD

  • December 07, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for every user to be able to log in to every other machine in the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't see who logged in where, when, etc. without paying extra for directory insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Directory services for customers that do not have or do not want on-prem AD.
