It’s a good solution for cloud based Active Directory
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud Active Directory solution. I think it's a great product and really helps to replace an on premises server that would need to be used for Active Directory and other resources
What do you dislike about the product?
No security module. I would like a solution that would show security threats and vulnerabilities in real time, out of date applications, applications reaching end of life, etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Account creation and management
Came as highly recommended on Reddit groups and it does not disappoint
What do you like best about the product?
The Knowledge base and support from the Jumpcloud community is fantastic. I would also highly recommend the "Best Practices" tutorial that I was pointed to as It was of great help - https://community.jumpcloud.com/t5/community-scripts/starting-with-jumpcloud-with-organizational-best-practices/td-p/836
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to complain about except for recommending some features that could be included such as a License/Contract management module for setting up alerts for license renewals and storing of such information
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We required a new identity provider and Cloud radius solution which Jumpcloud is fulfilling. Areas such as MDM is proving to be a nice bonus for us as we need to manage a few Windows workstations
Great SSO with lots of added capability
What do you like best about the product?
A very friendly UI, along with a powerful service. It's incredibly easy to manage our users' credentials through jumpcloud, along with immediate control of their devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish the remote support didn't require so much work on the end user's side. They're often required to give authorization several times to allow any control, especially on Macbooks.
I also wish some security solutions for protecting devices were built in. You get the basics like "Lock Laptop, Remotely Erase" and stuff like that, but it would be nice to have antivirus's partner with them to protect devices that have the jumpcloud agent installed. With that partnership, it would also be great to have the ability as an admin to make mandatory scans and schedules.

Before jumpcloud, our device management was a mess. Not only were we having a very hard time keeping track of who was using each device, but we've also had devices that didn't have admin accounts on them as they were sometimes created in haste. It helped to know that we could always assign ourselves as admin users in any computer with a working wifi connection and jumpcloud agent.
SaaS amazing
What do you like best about the product?
Manager users in association with google workspaces, MFA authentication and remote access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Absence of a Linux software manager, need implement this feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing remote users from all over the country.
Easy to Use and Manage
What do you like best about the product?
I like how they have multiple different features suchs as MFA for VPN connections, and setting up radius authentication for wifi login. The portal is also very user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Under the insights tab on Directory, that view should be a little more easier to filter users and have more detailed explainations on where they fail on the authentication and why.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fact that we are able to use a universal SSID with Jumpcloud to have all uesrs connect to one SSID, but based on their user groups they are routed to their corresponding vlans.
Effective, low-cost solution for a multitude of options for system configuration & management.
What do you like best about the product?
Password management for users that have a local machine account, but are not joined to a domain. When a user forgets a password there is no need to physically meet with that user to login as a local admin and rest their password; it can all be done remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
SSO integration was a bit "clunky" at first and took some time to integrate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System configuration settings for security compliance, update management, and non-domain user credential management.
JumpCloud, best friendly alternative to Okta
What do you like best about the product?
It was a breeze to setup, handles most of my SSO software and easy for our team to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup, although easy, not that easy for a non tech person. Other than that, it was quite easy and fast to integrate to other platforms we use the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted a platform where all users could login from day one to all software needed to do their work and per profile. Designers should have access to all tools, researchers, and developers, JumpCloud made this easy, before, onboarding took SO long for each person.
Active Directory Replacement
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and cost. The best upside is the cloud based platform that can be easily accessed by our systems globally.
What do you dislike about the product?
In our scenario, we have not found any downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have traditionally been an Active Directory customer; however, how our platform is constructed has caused many headaches with support and architecture. Since we are usually 95% Linux based, the requirement for AD is removed by using JC.
LDAP without AD via JumpCloud
What do you like best about the product?
Jumpcloud allows you to manage business user accounts on Mac machines using Microsoft AD/Azure. It is stable and fast, essential when managing numerous user accounts. It allows for Single Sign On, across multiple applications, using Multi-Factor Authentication. It provides Administrators with the security to wipe machines remotely or lock an account. It also allows Administrators to push user accounts to multiple computers. It permits centralised policies, including Disk Vault encryption, and will enable you to run (configuration) scripts remotely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jumpcloud can be complex to configure, and it's possible to wipe a user account unintentionally if not careful. Also, it can be confusing for end users when changing their passwords, as they may change their passwords in Office.com (formerly Office365), but it can take a few moments for Jumpcloud to update. You then have to enter the new password in the Jumpcloud menu-bar client, and sometimes this doesn't work as efficiently as ideal. You then have to log out of the user account and log back in using the new password. During this process, the computer must have access to the internet. Otherwise, you can get caught in a situation where you are locked out of the computer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jumpcloud allows businesses to work with Mac and Linux machines in scenarios where they need the centralized management of Microsoft AD/Azure. This is no small feat, as it permits many possibilities for working.
Easy to use for a non-technical IT person
What do you like best about the product?
I have used one other MDM provider and found it very complex and difficult to navigate. JumpCloud makes it fairly easy to find what I need and be able to focus on the features that are important to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that we will never use and it might be nice if we could have a portal that hides things we don't want. As a general admin person at a startup, IT is only part of my job and so I need to be able to pare down the technical stuff that doesn't apply to me or my use case.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our use case is managing a small number of Linux laptops that our other MDM provider will not supervise. JumpCloud allows us to simple deploy the MDM, and then when the employee is no longer with the company or if the laptop is lost, we can lock it down and wipe it to protect our data. That's all we need and JumpCloud does it well.
