- Required many changes in the control room(for controller perspective)
- User Interface updates - It should be more efficient for the RPA Developers.
- Limited timespan for trial version - It should be a minimum of 45 to 60 days.
- Blue Prism is not organizing in-person meet-ups which can be helped to grab more knowledge about products.
- Blue Prism Studio should be Cloud base along with Blue Prism on-premises version.
- Blue Prism should provide functionality that can auto-update digital exchange like DLL, BP Release, and so on.
- Blue Prism should provide a version control functionality like GIT and so on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Browser, Java/Oracle, Main Frame, and Citrix Automation - I have worked for one of the top data center provider companies, which has 30 K staff worldwide - I needed to work on their finance-related tasks, and my team needed to create almost 45+ bots and earlier they tried with other RPA tools but it could not work as expected and later they came to know about Blue Prism and firstly they started with 1 or 2 bots and they were pleased with the output and functionality. Moreover, Day by day they increased the number of bots in Blue Prism and it ran with flying colors.

Best for sale and good understanding

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way of monitoring tests, where each step can be seen clearly, I don't need to make 'breakpoints' all the time to see what happens in the development of the solution.
I also see the billing format as a differential, where the cost for 3 years is attractive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the lack of contrast in the layout, I wish it had more colors, the lack of contrast bothers me, colors help me to define the toolboxes. I also wanted to be able to have a code view option that looks less like bpmn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The fact that I don't need to have a higher education to learn this tool is excellent, since in job interviews what I am asked for is knowledge of the tool, and not just a degree, and that's what I find at blueprism university. A change of line of work is possible, if I delve deeper into the tool.

Excellent form of collection and ease of selling the platform

  • September 30, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After every meeting, a return on investment needs to be presented, regardless of the chosen platform, to map the process to be automated. The way of selling (24x7 license) helps a lot when convincing customers to buy a BluePrism license. Today a customer went ahead with the BluePrism license purchase process. Much of the reason was the simple way of charging.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many of my team like the way Blue Prism presents the code, as if it were a BPMN connotation, I wish there was an alternative way of presenting what is being developed. My past experience was with AA, I miss the presentation of something like code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems:
Exact pricing;
Customer distrust in platforms;
Have qualified developers to deliver solutions;

BluePrism is the platform that helps me the most in these aspects, as it is easier for me to sell the platform with the pricing model, and I can trust that we will deliver the solution because we have qualified professionals ready to develop;

Very good automation tool for business users

  • September 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I found it very easy to learn and play with to create automation as a business user.
Browser automation worked great for me to download certain reports that I was doing earlier manually.
The latest version has a lot of advanced features and I'm planning to explore other products as well from Blue Prism like Hub, Interact etc
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup took me some time to understand the architecture and terminology.
It felt a little tough to set up SQL Server and Database for a blue prism to work, but that might be due to me being a business user and not much of a technical person.
Apart from this, I did not notice anything that I disliked so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped me download multiple excel reports from our websites which was done earlier manually.
Also, it helped me manipulate excel reports that I download from websites and perform certain calculations on them.
I'm still exploring if Blue Prism can generate a dashboard report for me but that is on the learning track for now.

Super intuitive automation!!!

  • September 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about SS&C Blue Prism - RPA is the fact that it is a super intuitive code-free automation, which makes process automation easier and brings convenience to the daily life of the tool's users.
Moreover, it is a very comprehensive system with all the management of machine and server usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the less attractive parts of the tool is the visual management of the control room, mainly because there is no option for filters on the screen, which makes the view very cluttered. Another point that should be highlighted is some aspects of the mappings; depending on the system that is going to be mapped, the tool lacks preparation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SS&C Blue Prism - RPA process automation brings automation to repetitive processes that do not require discernment in decisions. It is capable of automating daily activities that we perform remotely, mechanically, without even stopping to read, to give an idea of how mechanical it is for humans.
As an example of this, I can mention the automation of extracting two "daily" reports and compiling specific data into a single report. By automating this activity alone, at least 2 hours of the employee's day were saved, freeing them for other activities that require more dedication and also avoiding overtime.

Efficient Automation!

  • September 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, the code-free automation building format is one of the highlights, other points are the ease of implementation and intuitive control room view. Additionally, the scalability is very effective, and also the diversity of creation that the user can have, there are endless possibilities that can be developed for the same solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
The part I like least about the tool is the visual management of the control room and some limitations regarding mappings. I had problems with mappings in the Oracle system and some websites. The mappings with region make development difficult and often there are not enough resources for some solutions in these situations. Another point is the format of error messages, which are not very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generation of lengthy reports, data compilation, document filling, system updates, all these aspects were addressed with the implementation of RPA, many of which were automated and executed outside of business hours, facilitating and bringing more efficiency to daily operations. Often, hours were lost with report extraction, creation of complex spreadsheets full of formulas and intricate logic, all of which can be performed by the robot. Another benefit is the elimination of overtime, caused by unexpected tasks that can be handled by the robot, thanks to its scalability. By properly creating the process, it can run on various servers, meeting the same demand, avoiding extra costs, and still fulfilling all the demand.
