BluePrism Review

  • April 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It perfectly adapts to the main technologies, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sharepoint, Legacy Systems, Emulated Terminal, Citrix, RDP, DOS, Scada, Databases, CRM, ERP, HR Systems .... Microsoft Office365.
This RPA costs a fraction of a FTE and can work 24/7/365, resulting in a 35-65% cost reduction for our onsite operations processes and 10-30% in offshore processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
BluePrism statistics and reports are difficult for a new user to understand.
Timing and remote management need to be improved with design flaws.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the BluePrism services to connect our Excel database to the application.
In an automated way we control the entire business process knowing at all times what work each user performs.
Through the mobile application, it allows us to control, manage and monitor the operation of BluePrism through a cloud system with access from anywhere.
We are currently working on creating more modules to get better performance from our resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
BluePrism is a tool that is used for desktop in Windows. This tool aims to automate repetitive tasks and thus eliminate human intervention.
It assures the company better results.

Very good RPA software

  • December 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
a most exciting feature about the Blueprism is its governance, it allows you to manage your automation processes very easily and effectively at the same time. I have experience with other tools in the market but blueprism stands out very uniquely and clearly with its vision and operation model.
Developing code is easy part once you are a bit familiar with the tool and to make a change in any existing process is also easy.
it has an inbuilt version control system that allows you to see your code inside the tool itself so you do not have to depend on other VCS.
reusability is higher as compare to other software in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
probably the customer support part which I feel like that should improve and there are two separate sites for certification and portal which makes it a bit weird. I would like to target the certification part, particularly because if you want to change or need any help from it you will need to wait for 2-4 months at least.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am automating the repetitive work. I personally think that automation using blueprism will help any organization to save up some cost and for employees to focus on the more creative task like building the customer relationship.
blueprism is actually making automation easy by providing a direct connection to any to every application that we can use with windows, mainframe, web-hosted, java, Citrix, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
this is very good software, I would recommend using it over others.

governance
reusability
scheduling
easy to implement
secure

If you love flowcharts or you hate hardcoding for automation, Blue Prism is your go-to application

  • December 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Blue Prism is easy-to-use because most people are familiar with flowcharts. Mapping instead of coding makes it easier to troubleshoot. As an RPA developer, troubleshooting and debugging are both essential on my work which makes Blue Prism a nice platform to make robots. Blue Prism is also more stable than other Robotic Process Automation tools that I've used. Some of them make unnecessary skips in Excel rows while Blue Prism has an almost perfect error-free movement. If you are a fan of C# or programming languages that use the same context, Blue Prism also has "Code Stages" which utilize these. You can create your own stage type by putting a code inside a stage and use it on an object in Object Studio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blue Prism's "spying" capabilities (spying here refers to the ability to integrate an application by capturing its objects for automation use) are a bit overwhelming compared to some Robotic Process Automation tools. The Blue Prism interface shows many elements whereas some other tools use a drag-and-drop style of capturing objects. In Blue Prism, you may get lost spying if you haven't mastered its interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Blue Prism in manipulating Excel spreadsheets, sending emails, uploading Output files to Box folders or SFTP, manipulating SAP, among others. I worked with Workday practitioners before to automate their processes and now I am currently working with payroll practitioners.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Blue Prism is great for Robotic Process Automation. Carefully study the Foundation Training available and explore all features. Learning other programming languages is a plus too since there are Code Stages in Blue Prism.

Enterprise solution with AI integration

  • November 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Really stable, good architecture design and objects can be extended using coding so capabilities are almost infinite. Using skills and DX library let you sharing objects and development
What do you dislike about the product?
Old fashion interface, a look and feel renewal is needed. Blueprism is not very agile implementing improvement or solution evolution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any kind of automation with enterprise applications and systems
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check your current and future needs, evaluate and go for it

Most Accurate RPA Tool is none other than Blue Prism!

  • October 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RPA is Robotic Process Automation , there are several RPA tools.
Blue Prism is the best RPA tool which is use to create BOTS for any repeated task or process done in a large scale business on daily basis.
Creating software BOTS is much easier in Blue Prism than other RPA tools. It provides more accurate output and time for execution is lesser than other tools.
The created BOTS can be scheduled and RUN accordingly.
Basic programming knowledge is sufficient to learn how to create a BOT and having knowledge of C# language will add a boost to your skills in creating BOTS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Blue Prism does not have free version and its learning resources are also limited than other tools available in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being a RPA developer it was a great experience using Blue Prism tool. I have used it for automating web based applications which provides the best result in web services than other tools!

Blue Prism on a developer's POV

  • October 15, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Blue Prism is that it makes understanding workflows easier since it uses common flow chart diagrams. Even if you're not a really technical user you would understand it.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find least helpful in Blue Prism is that it is unable to process thousands of excel rows and I find the spying and scraping ineffective in automating web based application and some windows application compared to its competitors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated SAP and a website using blue prism.
