Functional for organisation
What do you like best about the product?
The system is functional for organising projects. You can adapt the settings however you want. There is a lot of freedom with how you use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Feels 'clunky' - could be more intuitive to use. Although you can add lines to create your own plan, it's fiddly and the display is boring and not easy to read.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping out project milestones and tasks, assigning tasks, and tracking to deadlines.
Great tools, minimal training included
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Smartsheet allows us to tell our story through visually pleasing dashboards. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on donations and sponsorships and Smartsheet allows us to showcase our impact on the community. You can customize colors to fit your branding needs as well. I like that you can blend narrative and data charts in one place. I also like that it is live data and it always updating in the backend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the amount of training included with an initial Smartsheet implementation. The sales team is very supportive through the contract signing piece and then the support team felt like a drop off. We weren't able to accomplish our goals with the included hours and ended up learning and troubleshooting on our own. You can always buy additional support hours but they weren't in our initial budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is able to help us tell our story in an easily digestible way by combing visual data charts and narrative statements. We were looking to show our impact and Smartsheet allowed us to do so.
Working with multiple groups to collaborate and report out
What do you like best about the product?
How easy multiple people can update trackers and the ease of tracking on Smartsheet. Its also nice how you can keep multiple trackers stored in folders for different projects making it easy to stay organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times it would be nice to be able to have a little bit more excel functionality like you do on excel. It feels a little limited at times compared to excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking what we have accomplished through our many groups is made so much easier now that we can have different people tracking all that their groups have done in a centralized place.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet automation and shareability are the two most helpful features of Smartsheet. I like the automated notifications, formulas, forms, shuttles and meshes. The fact that Smartsheet is web based, and that you don't need a license as a user helps the shareability. Also nice that you can have multiple people working on one sheet at a time. And, the ability to view on a Smartphone
What do you dislike about the product?
There are downfalls with Smartsheet, it has a lot of quirks. My team finds itself using elaborate work arounds to do simple task like automatically deleting rows from a sheet. Intermittently Smartsheet is slow, or fails to work, and when it does we can tell it is on Smartsheet's end, because all members of my team notice the issue at the same time. There are also no notifications that Smartsheet is having issues, or that it is resolved, even if you put in a ticket.
Specific issues that need to be fixed:
The ability to share access to Data Meshes and Data Shuttles, if there is an issues, other team members cannot run them or edit them.
he 20,000 row and 500K cell limitations hamper our ability to use Smartsheet, and causes us to put some projects in Excel, that we would like to have in Smartsheet.
Unable to automate download of data from Tableau.
Dashboards require dozens of sheets and reports to feed the graphs data.

Automating notifications, consolidating reporting, and project management. We use Smartsheet to give users a streamlined way to view reporting, enter data, and review the progress of a project.
A deep dive into productivity with Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Smartsheet is that it works well with other tools I use to manage my projects. It also makes my sheets look good and easy to understand. Plus, it does a lot of the work automatically so I don't have to, which helps me get more done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet's mobile app doesn't have all the things that the web version has, and that makes it hard to get work done when I'm not at my desk. Also, I wish there were more ways to look at the sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me handle lots of projects at the same time. I love using the Gantt charts to see how everything fits together. It does a lot of the boring stuff for me, so there’s less chance of mistakes and things get done faster. It's also really good for working with other teams because everyone can see and talk about the same information.
Align your workflow to Smartsheet's ideal else be in for a clunky time
What do you like best about the product?
Automations make life easier. Summary fields remove the need for cross-sheet references and bulky cell formulas. Update requests keep things manageable. Other options don't compare. Sticking with smartsheet's bread and butter functionality and designing your process to work with smartsheet rather than the other way around will keep life simpler.
What do you dislike about the product?
No built-in function to handle time-type data; in fact, you actively have to adjust for system date-time columns to perform age or date ranking functions. We need a time-type column. There's workarounds for most anything, but once you start relying on cross-sheet references to surface data or pull specific references you need to take great care else things get prone to breaking or not updating intuitively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of keeping track of an excess of active projects and their relative progress. Forms allow for easy data collection and periodic check in.
Great service with minor bugs
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to seamlessly transfer between different sheets is invaluable. The "Move row to another sheet" function makes patient care across multiple platforms much easier than it would be otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, when attempting to access comments, the website will glitch and not show any of the comments made on a specific row. Additionally, it does not track read comments when you transfer a row to another sheet. Suddenly all comments on the sheet will appear unread, even if you wrote them yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The recent addition of the column "Most recent comment" is a valuable addition that enables consistent tracking of whatever the most recent comment was. However, I have attempted to report issues with comments being unread when transferring from one sheet to another and never heard anything back.
Smartsheet for project planning is great
What do you like best about the product?
smartsheet is really great for tracking project status / project planning. there are ways to notify team members when it's time for them to start a report because a renewal was delivered (for example). it would be great if calender invites could be send from smartsheet as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think smartsheet is very user friendly. I also have a hard time understanding the dashboards that can be made and how it can be shared with clients without oversharing information that is needed for behind the scenes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
smartsheet helps me and my team stay organized for project planning during our clients open enrollment which is a very busy time. we have to make sure carriers are on accountable and with smartsheet i am notfified if deadlines are missed etc.
Great for organizing, could have more integrations and logic
What do you like best about the product?
I love Smartsheet for tracking tasks and purchases for our company. It is a fantastic tool for keeping many duties organized and together in one easy form.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find the form function for sheets is very basic; there isnt many logic options to make jumps, and you cant integrate other apps, like you can with Jotform. If the form function was improved, I could see this app being utilized more in our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our purchasing department has struggled in the past to keep all requests in one orderly file, Smartsheets has completely solidified their operations and made their work easy to maintain and accessible.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to see how time is managed and the user experience is easier to use than any other systems I have used previously. I like how you can assign people to each task easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The gantt feature is hard to set up and use. I would like to know how to use the other areas that I do not understand but I am not sure how I would do this so that would be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it easier to collaborate on projects. It saves time and makes everything mote productive and easier to manager. My team work well together now we use it.
