What do you like best about the product?
The cloud based nature provides a great foundation for smartsheet. We use smartsheet as a way to organise projects in our team, and the forms function has allowed us to set up strong processes for reciving and vetting new project requests. The filter functionalities in smartsheet are great and speed up finding the relevant data in each scenario.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is sometimes hard to navigate, particularly in very wide sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet has allowed us to become a lot more organized. It has replaced an excel sheet used for project tracking and project management, and has allowed us to introduce a ticketing system using the "forms" functionality. This has streamlined our project submission process and reduced back and forth questions onproject submissions.
It is useful for managing data

I like how I can filter & sort easily. It is good for clients
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any true dislikes regarding smartsheet, it does what I need
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves well as a portal to keep and easily keep track of data
A powerful tool with some great templates
What do you like best about the product?
-It's like a more modern version of Excel
-Able to store files and data that is interlinked in the cloud.
-We managed to set up a great drawing checking document that linked to our projects, since we've moved to Monday.com the drawing checking opens in a smaller box which is a bit of a downgrade.
-Different views. We managed our projects through stagegates using the tile view which was great.
-Lots of great help in videos on how to.
-Ability to create forms is great, used it with our procurement requests which fed through to a log.

What do you dislike about the product?
-It can take a while to get something working the way you want it to
-You get bombarded by joining requests from colleagues even if you're not an admin of the account
-Notifications for everything can be a bit annoying

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-It was helping with Drawing Checking. Being able to upload a latest revision of drawings and comment on it with arrows was great. Revisions was also a really good tool that we've lost sinse moving to Monday.com
-Managing projects was good with it as we could create multiple stagegates and pass each project through it. It gave a really good visual of where each project was, as well as being able to see the workload of projects at once.
-It provides a great place for us to store all our Revit model files and have links to the real life product online as well as any part codes and other important information.
-Being able to submit a procurement request that was then automatically logged was great and makes our procurement teams job easier. It put the earnest on the requester to file the all the required info for procurement to do their job.

Really Useful Tool
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best are the automations which can really help a company that has different teams in different geographical locations, to streamline and standardise many actitivities. It can also work as a replacement for a CRM or an SRM on a reasonable scale without needing much hands on mantenance.
it is perfect for daily repetative tasks as it simplifies and automates them.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the limit of how many rows you can copy/paste/move at a time.
I dislike the dashboard feature as it seems quite outdated and restrictive in terms of what you can do with the tools, for example there are not filter buttons nor ways to add calculations to the charts etc...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet makes manual repetative tasks less cumbersome. Smartsheet forms make data collection more manageable, further they can enhanse collaboration internally in a company. AUtomations around reminders and deadlines are very handy for ensureing all projects are on track and everyone is aligned
Truebyte Review of Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to lock down individual sheets to share with bespoke customers in a collabortive manner. This is used daily by our proect management stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slightly clunky and takes a while to familierise with the functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to share deadlines and costs on projects with all stakeholders
Good tool, full of feature but lack of quality support
What do you like best about the product?
It is rich in features, accessible by different devices (acceptable to be usied in emergency from mobile cell phoine too) and easy to understand/use. The API are well developed, documented and rich and this is really helpful when interfacing the portal to self developed tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Support is generally unhelpfull. Rarely I have received solutions to the topics I have submitted. I once reported a bug on the python sdk API and I was told this was indeed a bug and "will be fixed one day". Months are passed and still I didn't got any update on this. I was inveted to "join the devs community" but I would expect, because I notified a bug affecting everyone, to receive a proactive update from Smartsheet team when this is solved.
2) The GUI website is getting more and more slower: it looks to me resources are not upgrades as fast as user adoption and this raises concerns on me for the future ofusing this platform in my company.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an easy-to-use platform for every level of the company: easy to access and to use. Having thousand of users using it allows to implement common dashboards for collaborating and project flow sharing. Smartsheet rapresents basically the "meeting platform" from different roles in the company.
Effective software for managing briefs in a creative team, but can be confusing
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a helpful platform when receiving and organising briefs. It allows you to manage all your projects in one place, map out timelines and mark their statuses. It's easy to get set up and start using Smartsheet. The filter feature is good for managing your own projects or specific types of projects, and the resource view is great for managing your own time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite slow to update the sheet when big changes are made e.g. archiving/moving lines to another sheet. It can also catch you out if you add/remove lines when you have a filter on, it messes up the whole sheet and moves lines around. It's not the most intuitive platform and could be improved with a more appealing interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps me to see all my briefs in one place and book out my time for them, ensuring I'm never over capacity. It helps me organise my projects and keep myself and others up to date on their status. This allows me to work efficiently and in an organised way so I'm never overwhelmed by projects.
More useful than Excel, with some shortcomings
What do you like best about the product?
In terms of entering data and creating useful spreadsheets, Smartsheet is far more useful and visually appealing. The online tool allows easy organization of past spreadsheets, which make an incredibly useful resource for cross-team coordination and creation. One thing that I use often is the feature for automatically nesting to organize rows of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relative to Excel, however, Smartsheet doesn't have the same simplicity of shortcuts. For example, adding new rows, copying and pasting data in fields, and having the data repeated for many rows in a column are all functions that are easy in Excel and which I use often. There's just not as much ease for doing this in Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the most significant challenges is company-wide data sharing and data entry in a controlled and easily-retrievable manner, such as for quarterly goals or for metrics. However, Smartsheet has simplified this prcoess in our company and made it far easier to access and data when needed without an exhaustive email or file search.
Simple yet powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is going to be familiar to office product suite users, with a bunch of features that allow extensibility beyond standard. It can be used for simple use cases, or flex to much more complex depending the organizaiton or project. There is also a fair amount of content to skill up on the Smartsheet product, including the certification courses that are structured to promote awareness of product features.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area of opportunity would be to include more object-oriented project timelines that allow drag-and-drop sequencing of milestones and ability to adjust dependencies visually by draging depency lines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Smartsheet for Project/Program management allows flexibility and a fairly intuitive user interface. The ability to build templates for similar project types and then easily adjust for the specific scope is a significant benefit.
Smartsheet is very intuitive for basic task tracking and assignment capabilities.
What do you like best about the product?
The layout is very intuitive and user friendly. For those with excel experience, it's easy. Dashboarding and cross-sheet task linking is very helpful. Much more intuitive that Project or Wrike in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be extremely helpful to have a back-in date feature. Meanin, if I have dask durations, predecessors, and a target launch/completion date, it would be helpful for all my task dates to be generated automatically without complex functions or using negative lag. I don't always want to work from a start date. It would be helpful to see when I need to start by already having an end date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have the ability to create template project plans for use on cyclical releases. It's super helpful to be able to hand off the work to new team members without having to hold their hand through the process.
