SmartSheet is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
To an extent SmartSheet is similar to Excel which brings familirity.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little bit tricky to baseline.

It is making it easy to manage projects and to understand the impact on downstream activities.

Easy-to-use software for drawing up project tasks, assigning owners and monitoring overall progress.

Setting up automation rules is not as straightforward as for other functionalities.

Having a centralized & transparent source of truth about project progress
Handy Planning Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Like: Interactive in real-time, comprehensive for collaboration, funcitons like Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be more intuitive/user-friendly/modern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product has allowed the team to work together collectively to tackle tasks and coordinate planning.
Great functionality and options that other programs can't offer
What do you like best about the product?
Formulas are more robust, and you are able to do more things in Smartsheet vs. Excel. The ability to run reports is great too to really parse your data, and get multiple views for ease of interpretation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to create a dropdown column that is interactive with another column in the smartsheet (for example, if my first dropdown column is to select your region, and you select 'region 1,' the next column for location could intuitively only show company locations within region 1). I have only found a way to work backwards, writing a formula to make the region name autofill. As the number of locations grows for us, the drop down of our locations is starting to get a little overwhelming to sort through!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to craft our entire project schedules and manage the tasks through the predecessor relationships, making it easy to change a single date that updates the entire schedule. It makes reporting out for our projects very easy as well. Overall, it is a must-have for our EPMO, and it being an online program is a total game changer, vs. having to constantly update static spreadsheets from one week to the next.
Good management tools
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the fact that customers can see the changes applied in real time, it saves a lot of time on unnecessary follow-ups and documentation updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like so much, and what I often receive as negative comments from my customers, is that they have to create an account in order to access the schedule. Customers like to have visibility of their project without having to log on to a platform they're often unfamiliar with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy-to-use tool for moving deliverables from date to date.
Gives a good overview of a task and the steps required to complete a task.

- details about tasks with subtasks as well as allowing team members to assign others each task
- ensures that all tasks are completed and no steps are missed in the process

- Visually can be improved. It is sometimes difficult to naviage across all columns without zoomingout.

helps my team in project management. allows us to deliver outputs on time with an excellent standard, that is consistent across all projects
Great Workflow/Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the workflow and automations available. It is a great work management tool because of this.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't the greatest PPM tool. The dashboards and where you need to pull/push data to and from is a little clunky.

It is really great with task management and workflow management. This keeps the team delivering and being proactive.
Good at Managing Projects & Task but Mediocre at everything else
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is very simple and easy to learn. You can learn and understand the basic neccessities of using the tool within a day. Smartsheet also provides the tutorials in their learing centre that gets you easily started with smartsheet on your own.
It was very easy to convert all out trackers from google sheets and excel over to smartsheet as it shares a similar structure.
Project and Task Management is made super easy and automatic with help of inbuit workflows. The automations are very simple to easy to create. Settting triggers, condtions and actions. Its that simple. Project Trackers, Request Trackers and Project Plans can be automated to send alerts, request updates, request approvals, upadate dates and data, move or copy rows and more. These features come in pretty handy to keep the team on their toes to get their tasks done on time.

What do you dislike about the product?
As I have said Smartsheet is pretty simple and simplicity is the downfall here. You cannot do much of an anlaysis with the data you have. Even pivots require you to use a seprate app and it becomes bit of an hassle to create multiple charts in a dashboard because of this. Smartsheet cannot handle large data. It has limits of 20K rows and over all cells limit of 500K. Even cell connections between sheets are limited to a 100K. And if a sheet is formula heavy, then it breaks even when you have only crossed 9K rows in the sheet. Mutiple workarounds are need to be make the simples to tasks.
Another major flaw is data privacy. Reports are a subset of a sheet with filters on them. When you have a single sheet of information on multiple entities and you make reports filtered on those enties to show only their infomration and not anybody else's. And when you share the report, all they see is an empty report. They will be able to see and interact with it only if the source sheet is shared with them. If the source data needs to be shared then whats the point of having filtered reports.
If there is a major issue like the app not working or if it has crashed, the support team immediately assists. But if you suggest a ease of life improvement, they always ask you to post it in community and wait for enough number of upvotes. Either its going to be a log wait or it may never happen

The auto alerts that can be set up using workflows keeps the team on their toes to get all the tasks and project done on time. It provides us with a collaborative platform where the team and our clients are able to interact with the same sheet at the same time. We eliminate the to and from emails. The Dashboards paint a pretty picture of our project statistics for our management.
Smartsheet- Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like Smartsheet as it is good fir project management and collaboration tool that helps me and my team to plan and track our work. I find it is flexible and can be taileored to suit our needs. It is easy to plug information in and can be easily manipulated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet is not as intutive at first glance and hence there is a steep learnign curve. It does not allow ease of trackign resources into the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are monitoring our workflow on our programme and Smartsheets is able to provide a good output for trackign which allows us to focus on areas that are not as progressign and devleopign solutions.
Smartsheet's is great, there' s the opportunity to create everything that you can think of.

I like that despite how consoluted your company's work flow is, smartsheets can help to organize it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bummer that you have to pay so much extra for all of the other add ons that you would need to to make your workflow successful. It does make implementation kind of difficult. Although, if I had a straightforward company work flow I probably wouldn't have so many problems.

keeping all info in one spot - keeping all communication in one spot.
