Smartsheet is good...but not great
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great way for me to stay organized with my own projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult for collaboration beyond just one person. The UI - which is a default spreadsheet, is not as intuitive as something like Asana.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps me on task with the amount of concurrent projects I have. Smartsheet makes it easy to see when things are due and how they overlap with other projects.
It does what we need it to do.
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to attach documents to the sheet--this is very helpful for event logs and similar use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Annoying marketing emails from Smartsheet about features I have no use for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to maintain event logs such as when security audits are done, when we get DLP alerts, or when we have security issues.
Good project management tools
What do you like best about the product?
You can produce the dashboard and its interface making it accessible to users of all technical levels, coupled with powerful collaboration, task management, and workflow automation features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feel limited by traditional options like Excel and Google Sheets. You cannot merge the cells if required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teams can work together in real-time, share information, and collaborate effectively without needing technical expertise. It can act as an information-shared platform.
Simple design, complex experience
What do you like best about the product?
1- The availability of a variety of templates.
2- The possibility of automating tasks that are usually repetitive.
3- The visualization of information at first glance on the dashboards.
4- The idea of a simple and lightweight interface in its handling.

What do you dislike about the product?
1- The learning curve can be complex for people who are not familiar with spreadsheets.
2- Due to its spreadsheet structure, it is somewhat difficult to add titles or project codes that differ from one another comfortably.
3- On certain occasions, the entry of new projects in a row ends up incorrectly affecting the entry of others, leaving empty rows in between one entry and another.
4- The platform's interface on mobile devices leaves a feeling of disorder among the rows and columns of the projects.

Smartsheet is a little outdated. Requires a lot of set up to make it work for multiple teams
What do you like best about the product?
Great project management tool for a small team using the same template. You can create project sheets and assign tasks that show up in each individual team members to do list. If you stick to the same template and keep things the same in each project, it will work great. Also you can build some impressive dashboards to demonstrate project progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
If one person strays from the agreed upon template when setting up a project in Smartsheet, that project will not show up in your to do list. this holds true even if you are an assigned person on the tasks in the project. I find this incredibly frustrating because I try to rely on my "tasks" sheet to stay on track and manage deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing my team of six people collaborate and project manager together in one easy to access place.
Low barrier to entry but current licensing model precludes more-widespread use
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use has historically been the strength of smartsheet for me. While I have expert-level experience with many project management tools, anyone on my teams capable of using google sheets has the technical knowledge to maintain their own task data. Reducing barriers to information flow has been a driver, but this is now in question due to change in licensing terms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because we lost the ability for free users to maintain their own task-level expected completion date information, a major draw to the program has been lost and we are considering alternatives.

Streamlined Visibility with Few Manual Steps
What do you like best about the product?
I find Smartsheet incredibly valuable for creating visibility across different work teams. The automation reduces manual steps and follow-up, enhancing efficiency. I also appreciate the dashboards, which are crucial for stakeholder and executive communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the lack of design options in Smartsheet.

I use Smartsheet for project management as it creates visibility across different work teams and reduces manual steps, enhancing workflow with automation and dashboards.
Very useful, with some areas for improvement

Ability to map projects out in advance and allowing the wider team to have access to view and follow
What do you dislike about the product?
Better control over the reminders - possibly set the interval/lead time of the reminder individually like you would on an outlook event - choose longer or shorter lead times as needed. a prompt to start a task and a reminder to finish it off nearer the dead line. Presently email inbox can become overwhelmed quite quickly with things that don't need reminders.
Reminders would also benefit with details of the parent task/sheet, with multiple projects active a generic task description "design assessment" for example could relate to any of the active projects as the reminder doesn't tell you the project title

Easy to use and collaborate with others as access not restricted.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as powerful as MS Project, and export function is not as seamless.

An easy tool to use for team members to use and update project progress.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable everything can be, as well as being able to work with multiple people at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's the easiest to use at times, making processes slower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us delegate tasks and manage timelines for multiple projects at once.
