Clean, useful and operations focused
What do you like best about the product?
the form, gantting, the clean interface, the options for integration, the dahsboards
What do you dislike about the product?
you cannot copy columns, there is no sumproduct function, you cannot do bulk changes and when you copy lines over you lose the links.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
having all the information in one place, being able to link cells to limit work being duplicated
High powered tool for visualization and project management
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy Smartsheet's collaborative functionality. I can share it with external partners, and manage tasks effectively. The premade templates are also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that you could still use it like Excel in terms of formulas and calculations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we manage external grantees, we have a variety of deadlines from multiple sources. Smartsheets allows us to stay on track and manage these various workflows while visualizing progress seamlessly.
Versatile Project Management Options
What do you like best about the product?
Each feature in smartsheets "speaks" with one another. Being able to pull reports and build dashboards, based off of your data collected in a different sheet, allows me to find relevant information quickly and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is lacking in features, basic features, like those provided in programs such as Excel or Google Sheets. In addition, the formulas can be difficult to master.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is assisting me in tracking QAQC. It allows me to use an "easy to fill" form that inputs all of my data into an organized sheet. In that sheet, I can see all data and pull key information to compile reports.
Smartsheet pros and cons
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about Smartsheet is how it was designed for collaborative use. It is easy to share sheets within the team, and link documents as part of a row. It is also easy to share the sheets outside of the organization. The ability to create a dashboard is something that requires multiple steps to achieve in similar products.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that there is no way to create multiple sheets within a document, similar to how other spreadhseet products use tabs. I also find it harder to use the formulas within Smartsheet. While the syntax is similar to Excel and Google Sheets, I can't figure out why some of my formulas disappear and become saved as values.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to embed multiple documents within a row. This is really helpful as I found it time-consuming to do this in Excel. Attaching mutiple documents to a row in Excel also messed up the aesthetics of my sheet, but this is wonderfully handled in Smartsheet. Smartsheet also provides a user-friendly interface for typing and viewing comments per row. This is helping our organization in managing our project documents and project processes within the team. I feel that this lends itself well for fostering real-time collaboration. The workflows also help set up reminders and notifications, which help improve the efficiency of the team.
Good Product for Managing Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like the synergies that Smartsheet uses with Excel, as I'm familiar with Excel. I like the forms function to gather info whether its internal or external. I've googled to find answers to questions I've had, fairly easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do feel like sometimes I have a hard time navigating within Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping bridge the gap of project implementation between internal and external groups.

What do you like best about the product?
I would recommend SmartSheet to any project manager or anyone managing one to multiple projects at once.
The ability to easily manage your project timelines and associated comments/docs is extremely helpful.
When managing multiple projects ( who isn't these days ) and see what the resource load is very critical for keeping projects ontime.

What do you dislike about the product?
No true global admin for non-paying users. If you have 'editors' or viewers without a subscription the admin have can't see who has full access

Great for Project Tracking, Maybe Not Full Development Cycle
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet exceeded my expectations when used for phase gate and readiness checklists, or when organizing projects and assigning stakeholders. It is far more featured out of the box than Excel, and has a place if a project management app like Asana is overkill.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to have visible and meaningful discussion and updates within tasks of a project. In new product development, I typically like a solution where the entire team can "live inside" of the management app. This does not work for Smartsheet as it does not give a good UI for linking live documents, folders, media, and allowing for highly visible conversation on tasks and subtasks. This is not necessarily a knock against Smartsheet, it merely doesn't line up with exactly what I want to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many requirements when transferring a product from R&D to manufacturing, and Smartsheet allows templates of these transfers to be made and deployed as new chacklists and dashboards for each product in transfer.
An easy to use combination of Excel and Dropbox
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an incredibly easy to learn, use, and edit application for tracking and documentation. As a project manager, it allows seemless editing and updating of information from multiple team members at once. I constantly use the app to build and refresh my templates and trackers. SmartSheet integrates easily into my toolbox, and allows teams to easily implement schedules and activities that have been planned far in advance. While I have rarely faced any issues with the app, other members of my team have spoken quite highly of the lightning-fast and accurate response from the customer service team.
The drag and drop nature of almost all of the information encourages you to organize virtually the entire layout to your liking. It could not be easier to simply open a template, reconfigure as needed, and deploy a brand new sheet. While it is VERY similar to the mechanics of Excel, this should not be viewed as a negative. All of the complicated algorithims of Excel are made crystal clear and easy to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
The key downside I have with smartsheet is not the app itself, but the limited number of licensed users on the standard license. I would like to expand my administrators to more than 6 without having to pay for an extended license. Small negative, but worth noting if your team is quite large and needs the full functionality of the app.

Organization and tracking have always been difficult or unwieldy; SS cuts through the faff with user-friendly tools.
Useful tool for team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been such a great tool for our teams to keep track of issues, collaborate on client projects, and keep financial data organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more font options for each cell.

We are utilizing smartsheet to track issues with our clients, keeps track of our monthly workflows, and project managment.
