Does the job
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Smartsheet for its versatility, especially as a content calendar tool. It provides a structured way to organize and track content projects, ensuring everything is aligned and deadlines are met. Even though I haven't used it extensively, I can see its potential in streamlining workflows and enhancing collaboration within teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet has its strengths, I find it can be a bit finicky at times. The interface, though powerful, can feel cumbersome, especially when trying to customize it to fit specific needs. This can slow down the workflow and sometimes make it harder to quickly access the most relevant information. It’s a tool with potential, but it requires patience to navigate effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is solving the problem of project and content management by providing a centralized platform where tasks, deadlines, and team collaboration can be seamlessly organized and tracked. Even though I don't use it extensively, its structured approach to managing content calendars ensures that projects stay on schedule, reducing the risk of missed deadlines. For teams, it enhances communication and accountability by making progress visible to everyone involved. This benefits me by offering a reliable framework for managing content workflows, even if I only use it occasionally. I also use it as a "signoff" for any prouct readiness activities.
Smartsheet is a little tedious to navigate but has a lot of helpful items to organize information.
What do you like best about the product?
Information/reports can be created in Smartsheet and exported to a few types of databases. It's a great tool for maintaining organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't save documents to the main dashboard you'll have to search for it. If you don't use it daily you may forget how to navigate it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solves the issue of having to forward certain information to various departments within our company as well as outside vendors and contractors. This allows me to have a bit more time to work on other assignments/projects.

Reliable & Customizable, good customer support

Sometimes updating it can be a little cumbersome and time-consuming; at least for our purposes

Keeping track of both external and internal marketing calendars; giving updates to clients on deliverables; internal task management and team assignments

It's ability to be updated real time and how multiple users can be on at the same time to see the changes and make changes.

It can be alot to navigate once more and more data is being entered.

Smartsheet helps solve data entry issues, by tracking who did what at what time. This benefits me because my team can see when something was actually done on a past data entry.
Easy to use but some improvements needed

Easy to use most of the time. Copy and paste and conditioning is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering is not easy. You have to create multiple filters to be able to what you need. Also, zoom in and out is not easy.

Sharing within teams and multiple projects (shetss) open at the same time.

Its UX friendly interface, combined with customisation options, empowers users to tailor the tool to their specific needs. This flexibility allows XD to streamline operations across various departments and functions.
Additionally, Smartsheet's integration capabilities have enhanced its utility by connecting with other business tools in use across XD.
The use of AI (albeit limited in capacity) also supports our users in their daily use of the system.
Its UX friendly interface, combined with customisation options, empowers users to tailor the tool to their specific needs. This flexibility allows XD to streamline operations across various departments and functions.
Additionally, Smartsheet's integration capabilities have enhanced its utility by connecting with other business tools in use across XD.

The platform's extensive feature set necessitates a steep learning curve for new users. Moreover, the interface, though customisable, may not be as intuitive as competing solutions.
Some of its features, such as data shuttle, are limited in its usefulness to our organisation due to its complexity.
Furthermore, the pricing structure can escalate rapidly based on the number of users and required features, making it a costly investment.
The lack of native api (other than docusign) in generation of documentation and syncing with other software means that more complicated bospoke apis are required addinging to its cost.

SmartSheet Helps Tracking!
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has been instrumental in helping our company track dates - anything from annual reporting to date-sensitive deadlines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smartsheet has over the past year had many alerts that it wasn't working properly. I don't think it ever affected our scheduled reminders, but it was sometimes unsettling to see others were having problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet helps by having the ability to link a document to the reminder and the ability to set multiple reminders for multiple individuals.
