Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it's easy to make changes and to export. I use it mostly to gather information to submit purchase orders, everytime a request is submitted, I get a notification to let me know which is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one downside is the inability to make certain changes right on the sheet. It has to be made on the back end which can be tricky if you do not have a big knowledge of the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is making it easy for request to be submitting and the data to be used for those submissions.
Smartsheet - Citizen Automation
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use, just like Excel. The Automation templates are very easy to configure, such as sending Automated reminders and updating reminders to the team. I also like the Data shuttle capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no built-in AI in Smartsheet, so writing formulas can be cumbersome at times, especially conditional statements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating Smartsheet and Docusign helped me automate the process of creating agreements. I used the Smartsheet form to collect the information and then save it into a pdf and lastly used docusign integration to complete the agreement
Smartsheet seems to have alot of offerings but need to research on my own.
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of options on how to design and great templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once using a template, you can't remove some of the extraneous information easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking project plan tasks and large milestones.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to see all necessary documents for our meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the President sends up updated spreadsheet it doesn't notify me because the initial spreadsheet was already sent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Puts everything in one place and it is easy to find.

What do you like best about the product?
Automation, dashboard functionality, easy to use frequently, easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confusing which sheets/ reports to edit sometimes. And what effets what.

Diverse Platform for Data Management and Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I like the diversity behind structuring data, either through a report, or conditional formatting, or dashboards. Using formulas on Smartsheet is easy, as the sheet auto-suggests formulas and the drop-down box reminds you of what information you need to include. Learning Smartsheet was easier than other platforms because they have a great learning center that walks you through every aspect in a simple way. Cell-linking frpm source data sheets is a phenomenal way to integrate data across many different sheets!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do believe there are limitations to the automations. Sometimes a row isn't moved when it should be, or sometimes people don't receive email updates from Smartsheet (with no discernable cause). These instances are few and far between, but it would be cool to see more automation options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is a great platform for organizing and keeping track of large swaths of data. It is more visually pleasing than Excel, and more user-friendly. We are able to share large data pools in a way that is easy for people who are peripherally involved in our projects to visualize.
New to Smartsheet, Good Start
What do you like best about the product?
It is pretty easy to navigate as a new user with a basic understanding of project management. The templates and dashboards are very helpful

It's hard for me to understand the more in-depth items such as formatting dashboards without taking a training

A Powerful and Flexible Work Management Tool for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple yet complex and allows teams to work together in real-time and share updates easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's simple yet complex, which means without proper trianing it is very overwhelming at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to organize projects, track progress of my project and assign them to other individuals while being simple and complex as possible.
Smartsheets can be a powerful tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love the near complete customizations you can use to help keep track of your efforts and proper documentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
At time it felt almost too busy to the eyes. Perhaps its the way our VP set it up but im always a fan of making things easier on the eyes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think having live sheets, that your team can work on together at the same time. Communication is big and being able to share a live sheet is a big improvement. Over sending emails of an updated document.
Robust project management software; a bit pricey
What do you like best about the product?
There is a lot of functionality on Smartsheet and ability to do drop-downs etc. There's plenty of documentation to help you get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mostly that it's so expensive! There is also a bit of a learning curve.

It helps us keep track of submissions to our student newsletter.
