Prefer over Excel for sharing sheets
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is an online platform best utilized for shared workspaces and sheets. My team has been using Smartsheets to share onboarding trackers, manage team members, and track resources. It's main capability is that it is easy to share and work simultaneously with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the functionality as much as I like Excel. I prefer Excel for data analytics and large files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily sharing and maintaining project management and resource files.

What do you like best about the product?
Teams can collaborate directly within the sheets by adding comments, attachments, and real-time updates.
Smartsheet integrates with tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Slack. I like how everyone can see when projects are done

What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be intimidating While the interface looks like a spreadsheet, it can be overwhelming for new users, especially those unfamiliar with advanced project management tools or automation. I had to get use to the program, and I say I'm about at 50 percent

It helps our team to prioritize tasks and integrate projects all in one

What do you like best about the product?
I quite like Smartsheet and how easy it is to keep track of data as well as sharing. I think there are a lot of features that quite benefit us as an organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more ways to filter, to have multiple tabs, and to have bullet points

I think it's really helping us as an organization in terms of knowledge management and sharing.
Smartsheets - great idea but overall could use improvements.
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to create linking forms, checkboxes, & automates emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to custom the appearance!! I understand that this is a project management app but I like to be able to merge cells, to have some words bolded within the same cell or to have freedom to update the font/font family within a cell. Smartsheets currently only allows you to update the font of an entire cell. Because of these limitations, our team often has to have separate excel documents running outside of smartsheets to allow us to make these visual customizations to make our work more clear and legible. Where in an ideal world, we would have everything in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheets makes it really easy to automate features - I like how I am able to set up automated emails for when certain fields get filled out/updated. This has saved me a lot of work from having to send out emails once a task has been completed on my end & would need to notify other team members.

The larger sized file sharing capabilities.

Would like more options for column descriptions

Sending and tracking larger sized files. It has also improved my team's project management overall.
An Essential Project Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The excel-like interface with collapsible and linked rows are one of the best features that make it stand out. There is a bit of learning curve to use the more advanced features
What do you dislike about the product?
Some basic functionality seen in other similar platforms are missing, such as ability to add rich text in task descriptions. The integration with Google calendar works well till it doesn't. And then it duplicates the whole calendar again.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the extra options provided in Smartsheet to allow for filtering, user roles and permissions, and locking rows and columns for editing. We use Smartsheet across our company and it is integral for tracking metrics and conversations with customers
What do you dislike about the product?
We have experienced slow load times with Smartsheet. Also, when requesting acces to permissions for the product, the notification is sometimes not received by the owner of the SmartSheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a shared space to provide information that can be updated in real time, something we did not have before. We can manage and interact with many different sheets, and it is easy to locate all of your sheets.
Honest and complete review for Smartsheet
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a useful tool for organizing and managing projects and tasks within a matrix environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web browser is slightly less user friendly compared to Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning tasks and managing projects within a matrixed team. It has additional features that were not part of the previous excel sheets used to track these tasks including automated email updates.
SmartSheet is just okay
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet has some nice worklflow options and access levels which helps with operations, especially larger ones.
What do you dislike about the product?
I needed something more advanced, and I found that I kept hitting some sort of limited capability. In the end, we needed a small database to get the job done. Some of the calculations really become complex.

It was designed to keep track of members and run reports.
