Good features, could be better
What do you like best about the product?
I like how my team is able to track everything and that projects are all linked together
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience could use some work, it feels a bit clunky at times and isn't as intuitive as Asana is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its helping us all see the same project details and record project pogress

For what my company needed it for it wasn't bad. I liked that it operated much like excel but a little different. Kept us very organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
The more information stored the slower smartsheets would work and after 4 years of adding more and more the previews had a hard time loading but was still manageable. The search function also wasn't always perfect but eventually did improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing 15 different programs with hundreds of applicants per program and organizing everyones documents, information, and contact logs for each person well.
Using Smartsheet as an Instructional Designer
What do you like best about the product?
It is organized, collaborative, and mostly intuitive to use. I came into this position with no project management experience and was able to pick up the team's Smartsheet procedures pretty quickly. I found Smartsheet University very helpful and even scheduled some one-on-one help.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are little things where I with that some of the Smartsheets had functions similar to Excel or Google sheets (how to hide/unhide columns from collaborative sheets). For the most part, I would just chalk up my 'dislikes' to learning curves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use Smartsheets to collect survey information, track faculty help tickets, and it is the go-to most times that we want to collect information from our faculty and students.

It is a pity that no traditional Chinese is available in the systemic interphase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet is improving the communication efficient in the project team and I also can get the feedback from team members through Smartsheet
Smartsheet is an effective project management tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to track progress in my projects with dates, dependencies, statuses, baselines, etc. This is essential when working with clients to ensure clear communication on both sides. This is much better than regular sheet tools as it is focussed on project related tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the onboarding of this tool, I think it could be more user friendly. When I first started using it I would be confused on what button does what and so on, however as I got more practice it became easier.

The sort feature . If I use the form feature ,it does not add to top row. But instead adds to the bottom most row

All users can access data to receiving inspections withot emailing them. Also easy to upload files and all users can access whenever needed
Great for Planning & Scheduling, But Needs Improvements
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Smartsheet for over two years—first with my own company and now with my current employer. Overall, it is a great tool for resource planning, scheduling, and presenting data in various views, making it a flexible and user-friendly solution for project management.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have encountered two significant issues that affect its reliability:
Baseline Accuracy – The baseline feature does not provide accurate time tracking. When comparing schedules based on hours, the baseline often fails to reflect the original plan correctly, which can be frustrating when precise tracking is required.
Data Shuttle Reliability – The Data Shuttle feature does not always function as expected. It often requires multiple interactions to ensure external data (e.g., from Excel) is imported correctly, links work properly, and calculations are accurate. This results in frequent manual adjustments and reruns of the process to achieve the correct output, which reduces efficiency.

Smartsheet has been a valuable tool for tracking my projects and keeping everything organized. It allows me to monitor progress, manage schedules, and ensure that tasks are completed on time. One of its key strengths is the ability to present project updates in different views, making it easy to share clear and professional reports with my customers. One problem I had was having a way to present a clear and concise schedule and Smartsheet is good for that.

Smartsheet makes it easy to track projects in great detail, ensuring everyone stays on the same page. Its intuitive interface allows to monitor progress in real time, offering clear visibility into where each task or milestone stands. With features like Gantt charts, shared comments, and status updates, it promotes alignment across all team members, so there’s no confusion about who’s responsible for what or the project’s overall status.
What do you dislike about the product?
A notable challenge with Smartsheet's Gantt chart functionality is its lack of built-in version tracking for deadlines. When project deadlines change, the app updates the Gantt chart seamlessly, but it doesn't automatically track the history of those changes. This can make it difficult to determine how many times a deadline has shifted and what the original target was without manual intervention.
To address this, users often resort to workarounds such as maintaining a separate column for historical deadlines or manually logging changes in a comments section. While this is manageable, having an integrated feature to track and visualize deadline changes over time would greatly enhance Smartsheet’s functionality, especially for projects requiring detailed accountability and performance analysis.

Useful tool for organizing, collecting feedback, and productivity.
What do you like best about the product?
I find the ability to use sheets to keep track of my tasks is very helpful. It's easy to create new sheets and workspaces and I can use smartsheet for everything from an event planning checklist to keeping track of historical data and numbers all in one place. I also find the survey collection aspect and creating new survey's is super simple and allows me to keep track of feedback all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
A major concern with smartsheet is the fact that it does not consistently save while working so if you navigate away from the page it loses work you've completed.
I also find that sometimes when creating new rows in smartsheet it adjusts what has already been created in an odd way and can throw off my formatting.
It's difficult to share information with users who don't actively belong to my workspace or the paid subscriptions.
Finally my frustration is that there is no ability to use this tool with other platforms that are commonly used in my role so there is the need to manually transfer information from Smartsheet to other platforms.

Smartsheet is very helpful to help me keep track of data and tasks very clearly and in a place that is accessible to my co-workers for their review.
I find I can create a task checklist easily and use smartsheet to mark off tasks.
