Easy & quick to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, quick to input and update information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions are tricky. Reporting capabilities not great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of project tasks, milestones, and schedule.
Smartsheet is flexible, but there's almost too many options and it's too expensive

Like that we have the ability to use Smartsheet for a number of different solutions. It's a very flexible product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Flexibility is also difficult because you have to be the one to configure it and figure out how to use it. I also think that they're charging a lot for the product. I have also run into things randomly breaking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can see all marketing requests and projects in one place; we can use it for an editorial calendar.
Overall it's been a good experience.

I can easily search for a solution for any problem I have using Smartsheet University.

User interface isn't always as clean or easy to navigate.

It houses all project information and links to project documents I use.
All-encompassing project management
What do you like best about the product?
There are many unique features of Smartsheet that I like such as the ability to upload attachments to a cell, its advanced calculation functions, and the ability to share easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes the product could be a bit easier to use, it is not always the most intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows our team to easily connect with other groups where our work overlaps. It provides a place where we can collaborate effectively.
Excel Spreadsheet on steroids, with steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it looks familiar and has lots of functionality simliar to what you would find in Monday.com or Workfront.
What do you dislike about the product?
The simpler, spreadsheet like interface is deceiving. I found it sub-par for handling complex workflows, and the "advanced automation" requires much more manual configuration than I enjoyed with Workfront.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Iron Mountain uses Smartsheet for tracking projects across the Marketing Department. I found the trainings offered either way too simplified or way too complex. However, we do benefit from the collaboration and tracking such as timeline visuals and task organization lists.
Good Product with Minor Enhancements Could Be Great
What do you like best about the product?
The item that I like best about Smartsheet is the quick ability to add columns with different data types. It is straightforward and can be picked up by any user.
I also enjoy it being web based to allow for sharing and editing with team members outside of your organziation.

I would prefer if Smartsheet was able to successors and predecessors. This would allow the tool to act as a project plan and have dependencies taken into accounts with dates.

We are using it mainly as a Project and Portfolio management tool.

I liked the ability to keep track of tasks and the ability to integrate them in a visual dashboard

For a newcomer, I can see how creating a dashboard or resource view can be too complex

Smartsheet allows multiple views to be shown with the ability to keep track of tasks assigned to resources such as gantts, grid, timeline etc.

It is simple to build what I need and connect sheets

It still feels a bit like excel form a UI front. It would be great if the front end of sheets/databases was more user friendly. I also think it would be great if there was the possbility to create relational databases that connect.

Having fun but it is slow little bit my mind thinks before smarsheet save my picture on spreadsheet.

We can add coloumn and row while doing creating spreadsheet . We can add pictures as well as live camera shot live also . But when we are using pictures spreadsheet became slow very much.

I am using my imagination to write noval so i used characters from one piece to write about in my book. For example : There are thousands charachters and thousands powers them each one having one power. So it help me out very easy to remember every charachter power and speciality in spreadsheet while adding their pics and also weaknes and strenght as well.
Comprehensive Project Management System
What do you like best about the product?
I use Smartsheet everyday for my ontent calendar. It is really helpful in that regards because of calendar and card view. It allows me to get an overview of content that we have scheduled or that is being worked on. I think Smartsheet is really helpful for people who are used to working within excel sheets.
There are plenty of templates to get started or take inspiration from. The Workspaces are also very helpful way to organize different sheets, teams and projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think the integration between sheets and the overal project management system could be better. Navigation can be hard to do between sheets that you are working on.
Another thing I dislike about smartsheet is that there is no "list view" per say that only shows the fields and information that you would like, that allows you to click into the task/content for all the fields necessary. Sometimes the grid format can feel overwhelming if you just need to get a quick overview without every single field.

It has helped begin to streamline our marketing project planning and my content development for social media.
