Upgraded use of Excel - Shareable Experience
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is nice in the sense that it can be shared between multiple users with live data.

What do you dislike about the product?
Even if I refresh the spreadsheet or close it out after making an entry, we have noticed that entries get written over by other users. It's like Smartsheet hasn't fully updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality, tracking of purchasing and receiving issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet's was a tool I inherited when I was hired to manage the PMO dept. I was surprised at it's capabilities. I am still looking for more automation that connects to other applications to not
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still looking for more automation that connects to other applications such as Outlook and Power BI. Not a fan that everytime I share a project with someone it is confusing to my co-workers if they need a full license or why they need to sign up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project Tracking and task management. It helps my team provide status across our six companies.
Provides a means of scheduling and communication that helps us know what needs to be done.
What do you like best about the product?
The upsides of using smart sheet is we can have all our scheduling in one place. We can plan out a project start to finish and assign specific tasks to team members to make sure everything is getting done on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features I wish it had that it doesn't. I wish I could format a report separately from the main sheet it is pulling from.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a platform that we can do our scheduling and communication all in on place. We use it to set and track goals, build schedules for projects, assign tasks to team members, and more.

What do you like best about the product?
Smart sheet has been a great middle ground for my team to manage developer test scenario management and test execution tracking. Middle ground I meant is I needed a relatively simple and quick way to manage test scenario and execution with swim-lane like flows but JIRA or HP Test Center are too heavy to use but other tools like Trello are not available in our company at this moment.

Image viewer seems to have room to improve

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful interconnected sheets, views, and reports. Update multiple sheets through reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to join tables (sheets) in reporting. Does not behave like a relation database.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can easily change to see a Gantt Chart and back to a project view of the system. It make it easy to convey changes to other as well as notify others of project changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to get a screen shot of large Gantt Charts and move it into other applications. Sometimes it is hard to read and see if the chart is too big and there is too much information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is making it easy for others to assign projects to others since there are notications that get sent to others.
Good for automated notifications.

Automated notifications without invest in a macro as an excel file for example is an advantage.

Interface between sheets is complicated, is limited only to the Smartsheet tools.

What do you dislike about the product?
- User interface of Card View and Grid View aren't very customizable
- Can't make comments on individual cells in Grid View, only rows
- Can't customize checkboxes past current options in Grid View
- Can't reorder subtasks in Card View
- Have to get a code every time to log in now, and it takes forever to get the code

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project timelines so that we can keep track of what's being done by who, what's being held up and why, what's completed, what's not, approved documents, meeting notes, etc.
It is a good Order Management System, but you could not depend upon it totally.
What do you like best about the product?
Smart sheet is a very good platform to maintain your data like clint side and also internal department performance data. It is very easy to use to coordinate between different departments starting from Sales, Design, Costing, PPC, Production, Quality, Logistics. Person with low education background to high management level can use it, and data easily flow from shop floor to management dashboard means ease of integration. It is also a very adoptable software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few points I want to highlight. 1. When you try to integrate departments through smartsheet, you are unable to hide the main valuable data from a particular department or mail id. Let say you prepare a Master sheet, and a report based on that Master sheet. Now you want to share the report to a particular department (any particular person) and ask them to either attach documents in the report or do some changes to a particular column, they will be unable to edit or attach a document until the master sheet shared to them. 2. The programming done in the Autamation section took too much time to run automatically. Every day you need to cross check the sheet and run the automation manually. 3. If you need to transfer any information to another sheet you need to wait for hours or need to transfer next working day by the time all the small automation will be done for that particular sheet or row.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet solving the problem of maintain the business data. In our current practice we are now enabled to maintain a record of our business including our clint data like the most orders we received from which clint and location, also enabled to look the performance of different department and individual work performance. We can derive the performance against each order for individuals from Sales, Design, Costing, PPC, Production, Quality, Logistics. What is the current workload on each department and on individuals, in respect to the order value, qty, and time taken for an individual or department.
Great for automated tasks, but limitations compared to excel workbooks.

The automation of tasks and reminders is very handy and helps keep projects and teams on task

The ability to have multiple data sets on one sheet is a limitation that I am able to better navigate in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is simplifying the process and reducing the time needed to send reminders and ensure work is getting completed.
