Streamlining Projects with Smartsheet

  • August 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Smartsheet for a few months now, and I have to say it's been a game-changer for our team's project management. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, even for non-technical team members. The ability to create custom workflows, automate tasks, and track progress in real-time has greatly improved our productivity and collaboration.

One of my favorite features is the ability to create and manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and deadlines. The Gantt chart view is particularly helpful for visualizing our project timelines and identifying potential roadblocks.

The reporting and analytics features are also top-notch, allowing us to gain insights into our team's performance and make data-driven decisions. The integration with other tools like Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and Slack is seamless, making it easy to incorporate Smartsheet into our existing workflow.

While there are some limitations to the free version, the paid plans are well worth the investment. The customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable, and the online resources and tutorials are comprehensive and helpful.

Overall, I highly recommend Smartsheet to any team looking to streamline their project management and improve collaboration.

Pros:

- Intuitive and user-friendly interface
- Customizable workflows and automation
- Robust reporting and analytics
- Seamless integration with other tools
- Excellent customer support

Cons:

- Some features may require technical expertise to set up
- Limitations to the free version may not be suitable for larger teams or complex projects

Recommendation:

Smartsheet is a great choice for teams of all sizes looking to improve their project management and collaboration. While it may require some setup and training, the benefits far outweigh the costs. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Love me some automations

  • August 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the automations feature, particularly for the ability to transfer rows between sheets. As a grant writer, this really supports my ability to keep information organized by stage (pre/mid/post-application), and organize columns appropriately based on those stages. I also really appreciate the row links and comments features. Easy to use and customize with a basic understanding. Drop downs and conditional formatting are really easy and excellent, too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was the ability to organize multiple sheets into one workbook, like excel?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grant management

What do you like best about the product?
The MS Project-like interface is good for former Project users who are on Mac, where Project doesn't exist.
What do you dislike about the product?
The look and feel can be clunky, and the resource management features just aren't very user friendly. Everything feels like a workaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SMartsheet for project management and resource management at a training and development agency.

Smartsheet review for a small company

  • August 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The customizable options are great. You can create reports, forms, or dashboards based on the specific needs of a company.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes time to learn. It took me six years to fully understand how to make the most of Smartsheet. The formulas can be tricky, and I do wish it had some of the same formatting capabilities as Excel, like merging cells.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to look at all of the ongoing projects at once and build reports for different parts of the company i.e. project management, finance, strategy, etc.

Creating a lead intake workflow involves several steps to ensure that potential leads are captured, processed, and followed up efficiently. Here is a general outline of how to create a lead intake workflow:

1. **Identify Lead Sources**: Determine where your leads are coming from, such as online forms, phone calls, emails, social media, or events.

2. **Design Lead Capture Forms**: Create forms that capture essential information from leads, such as name, contact details, and specific interests or needs.

3. **Set Up a Lead Management System**: Use a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to organize and track leads. Ensure it integrates with your lead capture forms.

4. **Define Lead Qualification Criteria**: Establish criteria to qualify leads based on factors like budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT).

5. **Automate Lead Assignment**: Set up rules to automatically assign leads to the appropriate sales representatives based on criteria such as location, product interest, or lead score.

6. **Develop a Follow-Up Process**: Create a standardized process for following up with leads, including timelines and communication methods (e.g., email, phone calls).

7. **Train Your Team**: Ensure your sales and marketing teams are trained on the lead intake process and understand their roles.

8. **Monitor and Optimize**: Regularly review the workflow to identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement. Use analytics to track the effectiveness of your lead intake process.

By following these steps, you can create an efficient lead intake workflow that helps convert potential leads into customers.
