Call recording made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Call recordings are still a great benefit and ease of use is still great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The data the needs to passed back an fourth is not as customizable as our business needs it to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main problem was to ensure that our enterprise team stayed complaint when recording calls. Gong makes it easy to ensure that all parties involved in calls or meetings know that the call or meeting is being recorded. We also needed a way to log meeting activity consistently in salesforce for commission payout and other needs.
Onboarding Nightmares are no more
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of administration. It's easy to set up and easy to maintain. It's also just so much more than a recording platform. Being able to easily identify certain types of conversations and important parts of conversations without listening to an entire 60-minute call is amazing. There are also endless use cases. Rolling out a new product? Give your product team a license to gather feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the setup was easy and it's easy to maintain, there were some hiccups with the technical setup with Zoom. It got sorted but it slowed down our time to utilize the tool across the org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our onboarding was a challenge. We had a long list of recordings that reps would identify as "good calls" but what was considered "good" was subjective. Gong takes opinion out of it. It identifies good, bad, etc as well as identifying key pieces of calls that are important. There is no need for someone to waste time listening to calls where 1/2 of the content is fluff or irrelevant. We have keywords set up for our different rev orgs and it helps them identify things specific to their role and team.
Easy to use for all types of users
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to fast forward or back track on a conversation, as well as to look up specific key words for our sales team like "objections."
What do you dislike about the product?
The security profiles are not as customizable as we'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability for less experienced sales reps to learn from others; the ability to catch reasons why we may not be converting deals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you clearly evaluate who needs to record conversations versus simply listen to others.

A Great Tool, When Used
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to search the database of past calls for keywords
What do you dislike about the product?
Some user interface just isn't as smooth as I'd hope. The AI for suggested tasks and so forth just aren't really useful. I'd hope we could rely on Gong to reliably suggest helpful tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training for new AE's is made a lot easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just be sure that it is, in fact, being utilized by the team for training.
Tool that helps Customer Success and training
What do you like best about the product?
Gong automatically records all our Sales and Customer Success calls regardless of the tools we use (Teams, Zoom, GoTo, etc) and each recording is sent out with very detailed and helpful information about the call. The analytics help us identify opportunities for training as well as sales opportunities. If there are specific calls to action, these are called out. We can isolate portions of the call and send them to appropriate teams for review. It just makes it very easy for us to get relevant data about our teams calls and we are able to more quickly take action as needed. We have even had customers inquire about this for their own teams. If you have a sales or Customer Success team making outbound or onboarding/training calls, I would recommend using Gong tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure if it is available or we don't pay for the service yet but transcription of calls is not available when you share a call with Customers. Our services cater to the accessibility community and transcription is very important. This would be a big win for our team if it was available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to see a 20% quicker onboarding of new staff as a result of recorded calls, reduced additional customer trainings by 38% (by using recordings) and our Sales team has improved time from discovery call to close by 16%. We don't have data to support but I know we are seeing improvements on action items that are called out during calls.
Great for Meeting Recordings and Sharing Internally/Externally
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can share a link to a recorded call with my customers, rather than trying to email a large video file.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have better organization with Gong to be able to easily find a previous call I'm searching for. With current search functionality, it can be difficult to find a previous call I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to come back to information provided in customer calls and always have the recorded calls as a reference. Gong also eliminates the need to manually click 'Record' like you need to in Zoom. It's nice to have it automatically record the meeting when external attendees are included in the call.
Love Gong for note taking
What do you like best about the product?
The note takign feature is excellent. Specifically, I love how I can review a sales call via audio or transcript.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints at the moment. I could stand to learn more about other features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With gong, I now have the ability to take perfect notes while simultaneously giving 100% of my concentration to my customer
Gong just makes sense
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity of listening and reviewing calls directly from my desktop or mobile phone. The ability to time stamp and provide feedback is imperative. I also love that I am alerted when a member of my team has completed a call or demo so that I can prioritize what is needed to listen to. It is great to have my entire team accessible and also create filters to make it easier to track. Ultimately, I appreciate Gong's ability to centralize all communication for review and feedback to share, coach, and provide immediate or delayed training for my staff and other teams as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a better live listen option. When we are accessing into calls, it is based on recordings or jumping into a zoom call. I would love the ability to "secret shop" and live listen without being visible in the call. That functionality would take me from a 9 to a 10.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing tangible and script feedback. I can not get around to everyone but Gong allows me to provide coaching and feedback at any time.
