Great tool for learning and coaching with strong UI
What do you like best about the product?
Our reps and managers love the "Deals" board view. It pulls in CRM info and highlights a timeline view of all communication cross-channel with a prospect/customer and how much you're speaking with different stakeholders at a particular company. The stats page is another favorite as it shows key trends across users by team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be great if the system could reflect all the different places communication happened like LinkedIn and text for the "Deals" board. Also wish their conference integration worked with unique zoom links instead of having users manually add the Chrome conferencing extension.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a central repository of external facing recordings that's transcribed and made discoverable based on user, CRM, words/trackers, etc. creates a collaborative environment, makes it easier to learn from others, and surface opportunities for coaching.
Love/Hate
What do you like best about the product?
As a salesperson, I have a love hate relationship with the tool. I use it frequently to understand the customer nuances, tone and underlying motivations. As a training tool, it offers excruciating detail into your performance on the call and illustrates where you can improve. This level of understanding is a double edged sword as I see clearly where improvements can be made....my managers can as well......
I use it as means to reengage with customers to focus by sending choice snippets and copies to my direct contact and other stakeholders. In effect, it's a selling tool and keeps the solution top of mind, maps the solution to the problem, and uses the clients own word to sell themselves.
As much as I hate hearing my own voice, I've found Gong.io to be one of the most innovative selling tools to hit the market in decades.

What do you dislike about the product?
Tooo transparent......good for managers....not so go for the line guys. You can't sweep the bad calls under the rug.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Note taking, gaining a deeper perspective into client problems, covering all aspects of a complex sales cycle.
I've improved my delivery cadence, talk less, and have implemented a Sandler methodology.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Capitalize on all features. Gong's utility comes in its multi-faceted approach, not just video recording.
Gong has been great in allowing me to learn from my own calls and learn calls of others
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to listen back to my calls to pick up details I wasn't able to write down, as well as being able to share calls between colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the transcript feature isn't 100% right, however it means I can search for keywords to locate a specific section of a call
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product training and objection handling are two problems, as I can learn from those who excel in such areas
Gong has made the collaborating learning process so much more efficient!
What do you like best about the product?
The transcription of each call makes reviewing them a breeze. My team is able to tag each other in calls so we can drill down into the specifics of what went right and what, ultimately, went wrong. The comment section allows us to work together - and remotely - on the same call or account
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong is a little slow to import and transcribe the calls. Sometimes when I search for specific call, I cannot find it. This is frustrating because my team wants to utilize the tool as much as possible, and as quickly as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improves communication between different sales phases. The recording feature allows executives to listen to calls, while the transcript allows the sales team to have and reference past calls during next steps.
The intelligence behind the software is incredible.
What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows you to get to the right calls quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not super intuitive. It takes some training and practice. I am still not sure what all is possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales calls and coaching.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you value coaching inside or outside reps on their conversations Gong is a great option
Great tool for learning
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Gong is the reality of your conversations when listening to them on replay. Most reps have an idea of what they sound like on the phone but Gong does an excellent job of highlighting the highs and lows of your conversation with a prospect. The way Gong achieves this is by breaking down segments of the conversation into "buckets" of the topic being discussed. This can range from "small talk" to "Pricing" and everything in-between. I find this helpful when reviewing my own calls to see where I may have steered the conversation the wrong way and how to use this feedback improve on future calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong has a transcript feature that allows you to read the text from a call rather than listening to audio. The voice-to-text technology isn't always the most accurate and sometimes words or whole phrases are misspelled or left out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The sales team I'm on uses Gong daily to review cold calls and socialize internally both good and bad cold calls. This has helped our outbound BDR organization get better at cold calling by allowing struggling reps to mimic and learn what successful reps are doing on their cold calls. We also have a Gong library that is growing every week and is turning into a great resource with a large sample size for new reps to learn from and old reps to tap back in to.
