Stellar recording and insights experience, mediocre/hilarious transcription service
What do you like best about the product?
On-demand, always-on recording; insights on call duration and call velocity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transcription, limited reports, poor business intelligence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to manage communication about our brand across our team, identify key customer and client feedback points using the points of interest features and trackers, and coach our entire organization on client engagement.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for an on-demand, cloud-recording platform with great insights and per-speaker identification, Gong is your one-stop-shop for cloud meeting recordings. If you're looking for business intelligence behind your communications, including transcriptions, and insights into client or customer sentiment, consider that Gong's transcription service is in an early stage and its sentiment analysis is limited to keyword trackers, speaker duration, and call velocities.
Extremely helpful product
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Gong can categorize different parts of calls to help me focus in on things I want to listen to in others calls and see how my own calls are structured. It is also great that it tracks how often people speak to show the call dynamics and to see if we are talking too much or not enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
That Gong always seems to interrupt people when they first dial in. I know we have to alert people, but it does seem like there should be a way for it to play that notice when people aren't talking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving visibility on calls within our organization and helps with training because live shadowing isn't always required during training.
Great integration to easily record and review calls on Zoom and Google Meet
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with Zoom and Google Meet means I won't forget to record a meeting...it just starts automatically. And, when recordings are in Gong, it's easier and faster to review them than if I just recorded in Zoom. I can listen in 2x speed, the transcription helps with finding just the right place, and when someone wants me to listen to part they can send me a notification that starts at just the right place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription is not yet good enough to be able to quote it or even trust what was actually said. It's only useful for finding your place. Also, on occasion the video loads forever and never comes up or, in two cases, the playback stops abruptly midway through even though it shows more time recorded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong to record all sales and customer calls so we can quickly get others up-to-speed when we have to bring them in mid-project. It also provides a great onboarding tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the UI separating what person is talking when reviewing calls/.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Gong could be white labeled. There are too many apps and logs for a simple call. zoom, twilio, gong, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am getting excellent feedback from my colleagues and manager. I am able to listen to calls that I could not attend due to schedule conflict.
Super helpful product
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create clips and share specific parts of meetings with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The intelligence isn't perfect. Sometimes it miscategorizes parts of the conversation and that makes it hard to know at a glance what was talked about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the recording, I don't feel pressure to take detailed notes and I can listen to the conversation and participate more fully.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm not terribly familiar with the space. They have the appearance of best in class but I imagine that also comes with a commensurate price tag.
It just works and it's easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I'm in the Customer Success team, so I use it mostly to record customer calls and review them afterwards as needed. Sometimes I also share the recordings with customers. Gong really makes it easy because it generates the recording relatively quickly and there's no friction when I use it. I just use my meeting invite and the recorder is there and does its job pain-free. It's also super easy to search a recording done by a team-mate in case I missed something.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to say here since my use case is straightforward. Maybe improving the transcripts. Until then I still rely on my own notes.

Reviewing a call in case I missed anything. Sometimes I don't get a chance to take detailed notes.
A more complex way for the world of sales.
What do you like best about the product?
Gong is an incredible platform that manages your communication operations to keep a well-organized control, and thus be able to visualize the calls that are made daily, if they need to exercise one of these emissions again, with well-structured and coherent analysis when it comes to meetings for the sales that it carries out frequently, being a very useful software, in business categories, since its procedures are massive on a daily basis, including that the notifications it sends, when one of these movements is elaborated for its protection is fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is useful and necessary for Gong to integrate the possibility of integration to activate certain functionalities in a more flexible way, when we address the sales that are made, mentioning that some of its use options are not automatic, and must be exercised manually by a specific team that is dedicated to this branch of work, mentioning that in these particularities, they must be kept in separate folders, when we refer to the initiative of a tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong today to acquire a greater number of businesses, in order to promote multiple amounts of income, it is implemented mainly by our dedicated team in sales, mentioning that lately it has significantly improved the effectiveness of the processes of economic beneficiary operations, with high levels when we go to business activities, resulting in a very useful system, which increases the chances of having an extra in the movements of purchases made by users, with records that we used previously for a more strengthened experience for future businesses.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an incredible tool for companies, with physical facilities, that exercise their marketing through telephone calls with different and clandestine objectives that this software offers, generating different data, so that these members can offer their products through this channel communicative, registering them in a very forceful and effective way, which provides a more fluid income at magnificent scales, which allows customers to guarantee their trust between their company and themselves, when wanting to make a purchase.
Gong will help you to improve your sales skills and sell more deals.
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can look back through my calls and quickly pick things out instead of having to skip through calls and waste time. It saves me so much time by just typing in key words or phrases. Being able to see who is talking on the call and how I can cut that time down. Going over the statistics that pump right from my pipeline are really nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that we had the ability to connect a little bit more into Salesforce and record calls that don't go through our work phone services. I wish that we could record stuff from our cell phones, but I realize that isn't really possible on that side of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think that we've really been able to train more effectively. It is nice to be able to take out a clip of 20 seconds really quickly and use that in a training meeting instead of listening into 25 calls and waste my whole entire day trying to find the right thing. We also love the ability for us to go out and show people what they need to improve upon. It's been really valuable for us whether it's our SDR's or our AE's to be able to use their calls in 1:1 communications to improve our skill level. Eliminating a ton of filler words has been a huge benefit as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Actually use the platform! It's not going to do anything for you when you don't use it. But it is absolutely amazing when you actually go out of your way to use the platform.

I like the stats and data Gong collects from calls. Very interesting to review and analyze.

That it says Gong Recorder as a participant in Zoom calls.
