What do you like best about the product?
Gong's an excellent tool with which you can stay on top of your sales needs - having your calls recorded with transcripts simply makes your lives a lot easier. You can re-watch to pick up on any lost details, remember what you said, or to go over with your team for performance review. Overall, you'll save a ton of time during and after the calls as you don't have to worry about taking down notes (which hampers your performance), remembering minor details, and etc. The transcript feature is also surprisingly good.
What do you dislike about the product?
When two (or more) people speak at the same time, the recorded audio can get almost inaudible (worse than how it originally was during the call). I also wish there was a feature to skip to specific words from the transcript, rather than the beginning of new sentences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to simultaneously take down notes - especially when all the calls are held virtually with cameras on - while speaking/listening is a huge advantage.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, and the transcript feature is amazing for ease of use and pulling helpful soundbites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything that this time. It's easy to use.

We use Gong from a marketing perspective to better understand how our sales and CS teams are talking about our product, and what they are doing that's successful and unsuccessful.

Sophisticated & Reliable

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can get into my car, pull up the Gong app, and in a couple clicks (sometimes even just one) start listening to the call of my choice, whether that's on my "Listen to Later" playlist or a call one of my reps recently led. It works even if I'm running other apps (such as Google maps), which Chorus never allowed to me to do (and that drove me crazy). I also love that I can listen to a call and have the transcript running instead of the video. Also— this is something that never worked on Chorus— when I start scoring a call, it actually saves my progress even if my internet cuts out or I accidentally close the tab/window... It's the really incredible how they've somehow thought of everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I could change anything about Gong's platform it would be making the UI even more simple and intuitive— specifically the coaching section, but you should get the hang of it quickly and at least they've come up with some very sophisticated capabilities that other platforms are most likely lacking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong makes it extremely easy to not only coach my team and help them develop their discovery skills, but also allows our business to understand why certain prospects aren't converting into opportunities and what we can do about it (whether it's how we're positioning our product, how we're running discovery, or if there's something the market is asking for that we aren't currently offering).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create your own scorecards and get creative! There's so much flexibility with how you can provide coaching. I also recommend scheduling weekly or bi-weekly call reviews with your team and cross-functional departments— there's so much you can learn from any call throughout the sales process.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to get a weekly email with all the calls where subjects and issues i'm interested in were brought up

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a great product! i highly recommend it. in our organisation it is mainly users by the GTM departments but i also use it from the product side. if you consider buying it, you should for sure ask for training before start using it. the alerts feature where gong sends you emails with specific subject you create tags for is great! i use almost only that functionality. also the call to text is very good. i think there are some big issues in their UI and UX, it is not easy to navigate in the platform (thats why you should ask for training) and find out where to find diffrant stuff but the support is really great and answer fast. for product people it will be a bit harder to subtract insight out of it but the call to text is good if you know exactly what you are looking for - for me, as a product designer it helps to find all call where UI and UX are mentioned and that way to find any type of feedback question or miss understandings both from our teams side and the user side.
Overall i would definatly recomend the tool but i would make sure

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and navigate. Also they have added insights into providing topics of a call which seems pretty cool and is helpful to navigate to only the part of the call which interests you. You can also pull call transcripts and this is really helpful to do analysis on the calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike but only thing I wish Gong had was the ability to export more details about calls using it's API. Also, sometimes the calls are not clear and the audio is broken.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Revisiting calls to understand problems faced by customers and sales team. This helps in getting a top view of the topics discussed and come up with ideas to tackle any concerns put forward by customers as it helps to listen to calls where you weren't even a part of.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for something that is easy to use and also do machine learning on calls, Gong is the tool you need to choose. You can not only listen to call recordings but also pull call transcripts which helps a lot in doing analysis on speech and sentiments.

Sometimes the calendar sync to Gong isn't the fastest so I'm unable to turn off the recording in time.

Helpful tool

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how fast the tool records calls and even transcribes the audio after a Zoom call. It's helpful to listen back to calls with my team to pinpoint areas of improvement or to highlight wins. Gong has been a game changer for training, reviews, and even follow ups to customer engagements. Sometimes we share Gong links with our customers who need to bring an executive or stakeholder up to speed so it's not a problem if they're unable to join a call. I also like that you can trim a call to only share a portion with a customer or team member.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcript isn't perfect although it's much better than having to listen to the call if you're in a pinch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording calls allows for better tracking, customer discovery, and saves overall time for my team.

Great for sharing success strategies/demo's throughout the organization

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share a very successful demo strategy throughout the revenue org so other team members could adopt the same flow. Every team member has their own strategy and flow when demonstrating our solution. While we all learn to standardize our talk track and delivery for the core components, it's natural for each person to add their own spin or flare. The ability to share what is successful from one rep with another helps improve the success rate of the team which in turn helps the overall company continue to grow at an alarming rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still getting familiar with the platform as our organization doesn't utilize it as a standardized tool, but the ease of sharing and SSO integration for access was very clean. There is a bit of an adjustment getting comfortable knowing that you are being recorded and recording will be shared with a larger viewing audience. Also, some states require third party consent to record which prevents some reps from being able to record themselves on a live meeitng.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Go to market strategy for new solutions/products. In this example, one of our reps on the revenue team recorded their demo of a new solution while presenting in front of the BoD (in the fly). Not only did he impress the BoD with our disruptive technology, he accomplished winning the bid even though we were overpriced by 2x (~$100k). We can now turn this into a scalable approach by rinse and repeat. We've realized how to structure a more uniform message across hundreds of reps to constantly deliver the same message to customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot and get comfortable with trial meetings before you begin to share your clip with a larger listening audience.
