Great Service!
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the simple timeline interface that shows when each person is talking. Makes scrubbing through calls so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Auto-translations could be a bit more accurate but that technology seems to be improving each year. It works surprisingly well as is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like that I can review how much time I spend talking vs how much time the interviewee is speaking. I've learned to 'talk less' and 'listen more' and I have the metrics to prove it!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is a simple service that focuses on what it does best. It isn't something that takes time at all to get started with. Accurate data with a low barrier of entry. What more could you want?

I think it offers great self-coaching features so that my reps can get feedback on areas to improve without much effort from anyone. Also the transcription helps them keep organized.

The ability to coach employees based on what they're doing well and areas in which they can improve
There is nothing like watching yourself and learning from those mistakes.
What do you like best about the product?
I never knew how many times I use "uhh, umm, like, etc." Using Gong, I'm learning to watch my words and my expressions using the video and transcripts that are well dialogued.

The speech recognition is getting better but could use more improvement.

Great resource for learning and training
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Gong not only captures Audio recordings but translates it to a transcript as well. From here, you can read through the conversation and speed up the rate at which the audio plays, which is super helpful when I'm trying to get up to speed on deals and don't have a lot of time to carve out in my day. Using the search function I can also pinpoint key parts of the conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike much, but the closest thing to "dislike" would be that you cant fast forward a few sentences while one person is talking. If someone is going on a long rant about something, sometimes I want to fast forward a few sentences to get to the nitty gritty of the conversation, but it'll only allow you to fast fwd to the next speaker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I specifically started working with my company remote during the pandemic, and as many people know it's not the ideal situation (especially in a sales role) because it's hard to get exposure on how the product is positioned, what questions are being asked, etc. Having access to Gong allowed me to really study how our product was being spoken about, what discovery questions were being asked, and also let me keyword search to find calls specific to what I was trying to learn about.

It's a great tool that is great for learning and training and deal management. It's super easy to use and has a great interface and friendly team.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the visualization of the different speakers that is color-coded. It helps me to understand if we're talking too much to our clients or giving them the proper space to be heard.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of announcements that occur "this call is being recorded" that can be very disruptive to a call as it gets underway and folks are still joining. May be a 1-time announcement or develop a feature that uses the Zoom chat to notify users a call is being recorded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for sales calls and customer advisory calls -- it's incredibly helpful for us return to a call and re-listen to a specific part of the call that might contain information we need to check/validate again. Very helpful for keeping our teams organized!

If you're looking at a tool that makes returning to parts of a call with a customer easy to extract key information, this is the tool for you!

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is a great sales tool that let Sales Executives and Teams its calls and it can benefit the organization in several ways such as improving the sales pitch and as a training material.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the way it records the meetings by having an additional participant

Gong is a great way to review your sales efforts and create a more scalable sales organization. It allows a single executive on the team to review its calls or to create a peer review systems, there are many ways that you could use it.

What do you like best about the product?
The way I conduct calls has changed completely. Because I know the call is being recorded and analyzed, I am less focused on taking notes/writing down as much as I can and feel like I can be more present during the call. Thus, I pay more attention and ask better questions. Plus, I can still review the call after to see if there's anything that I missed and identify areas of improvements to continue growing in my sales career.
I like the breakdown at the bottom of each call that shows what percentage of time I was talking vs my prospect.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be intimidating that anybody within your organization has access to view your calls, especially ones that don't go as you planned. However, if you are in a transparent and supportive organization, that won't really matter as the goal is improvement. We're all here trying to grow in our personal life and professional careers. Sometimes I wish that people in my organization would venture beyond their own Gong calls a bit more to spend some time listening to and hearing feedback from others. May be nice to get "points" or some "virtual reward" for reviewing and rating another call, maybe randomly assign everyone a call from a different coworker each week?

Completely changed the way I organize my calls. Now, it's all about the flow and progression of the conversation. I love being able to listen (at 1.5 speed) and analyze my own call. What did I do well? What can I improve on? What would I change? etc.
The transcribing feature, although not always correct, is helpful in understanding language barriers, especially when working with people all over the world.

Invest!!! This goes beyond investing in your business, this is about investing in your people. Gong enables your sales team to continuously grow and perfect their craft. For those looking for a company that will sharpen their hard and soft skills, definitely explore if Gong is part of their plan.
