An easy to use and very user friendly platform for any open source data connectivity
What do you like best about the product?
It provides easy to configure steps, and I believe new users just like me will have no difficulties setting up their own platform on top. The flexibility offered also quite vast choices in terms of giving me lots of options to configure.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the only thing I dislike is the positioning of options switches which is too far away from the description of the options. I guess this is only my opinion, but it would be even nicer / easier if the switches are put closer to the options descriptions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am planning to create a data mirrors which will act somewhat like a DR data to our on premise open databases. And Aiven provide just the right platform to do the test.
Works great for everything I need as a data engineer
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and intuitive for what I need to do about 99% of the time. It doesn't take a tutorial to do the basics and necessary things required. Compared to confluent this was much easier to jump into and do what I need to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
It works well for simple things, but for more complex queries it does not. Searching for existing messages and being able to copy the message as a raw json would be a great addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Handling of our consumers for kafka. The issue is not hosting our own kafka clusters which is awful. This makes things far easier and more productive.

It is a great way to cluster and organize your kafka topics, implement authentication and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of administration and downtime recovery makes Apache Kafka on Aiven one of the best places to look to for standing up Kafka.

So far everything has been working well, and have not found anything I dislike about Aiven for Apache Kafka
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently it is helping us process real-time analytics on some of primary business cases.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy graphical interface making Apache Kafka easy to use and manage!
What do you dislike about the product?
The update management.. We had an issue with an automatic update breaking our consumer. This was due to the admin being in out of office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing our client and us exchnaging data in an efficient way.
Aiven makes light work of an otherwise rather complex solution.
What do you like best about the product?
I've had to run Kafka clusters in the past and had to dedicate specialist teams and resources just to kee the lights on. In contrast, I set up my cluster in Aiven when I first joined and I haven't had to touch it--it just works! Saves me countless hours and resources!
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike when it quite literally runs in the background. So, maybe not really a "dislike" so much as a request: custom domain mains for Kafka clusters. I use a single cluster in a multi-tenant environment; I give each tenant their own topics and secure them that way, but it would be awesome if I could whack my own domain in front of the cluster!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Apache Kafka for secure, real-time communication for our multi-tenant environment. We separate the tenants using topics which are secured to each one, and Avro templates to normalise the data before it hits our back end. This makes our back end development super easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Aiven for Apache Kafka helps our organization, and software team to forget about time-costly maintenance. Each upgrade to the LTS is effortless. Additionally, with the DataDog integration, our organization can collect all the necessary metrics and statistics that help us with maintaining our business in a healthy state.

I did not encouter anything I dislike about Aiven in particular. However, I think that the Aiven console is not too user friendly.
