Simplified Kafka integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The interface provides a simple way to choose the particular features you require, depending on the level of budget you have, allowing you to achieve your goals. It is easy to implement, and the Customer Support and demonstrations, as shown by the videos on the landing page, make it easier to integrate. As for the frequency of use of the events being streamed, if the data objects are of a similar format, it makes it easy to replicate the schemas in other applications where necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
This process can be well appreciated if someone has prior technical knowledge of Kafka Streams and frequently uses data streams. Hence, it is quite important that someone grasps the use of Kafka Streams even while integrating onto the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aiven solves the problem of someone having to create a Kafka application from the ground up, define brokers and Kafka topics on their own, test the service, and then having to deploy the same for each and every other application when needed. It assists in saving time and gets the application running quickly, leaving one to focus on other development tasks that are a priority.

What do you like best about the product?
It helps us for getting the live data and streaming data from multiple data streams and platforms. Mainly ig helps in focusing the marketing data and click based operations in this scenario. We used to get the live data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not having the clear resolution list of stories and in some scenarios we are having unsolved narratives and it has having dark atmosphere in it for some of the information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to gather live data from multiple platforms google ads,facebook ads and multiple other social media platforms based on this we gonna get click information of multiple campaigns.

Seamlessly handle database upgrades and minimize downtime disruptions
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
One of the most valuable features of Aiven Platform is that it handles the upgrades for us seamlessly, saving us time that would be spent on routine upgrades. It also provides reliable backups. The ability to minimize disruption during upgrades is very important since any database downtime would mean system-wide disruptions.
What needs improvement?
I would really like to see Aiven Platform add a user interface for database backups, as this would eliminate the need for a third-party solution. Additionally, the customer service could be more responsive to regain my trust as it felt inefficient in the past.

I have been using Aiven Platform for eight years.
How are customer service and support?
Customer service usually responds promptly, but there have been times when communication felt like throwing an inquiry over a wall and waiting for a reply. It detracted from getting a quick understanding and solution for challenges.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We used Engine Yard's support for databases before switching to Aiven Platform. Every upgrade was a hassle and nerve-wracking. We by usign Aiven we needed fewer servers because of we did need serves to hodt the PG and MySql databases.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The cost for hosting with Aiven Platform seems high compared to managing it ourselves.
What other advice do I have?
In our experience, we encountered issues with Aiven Platform's connection to Redis. It was not smooth, and though we like the solution overall, we are hesitant about using Redis integration again. Additionally, on a scale of one to ten, I would rate Aiven Platform a nine due to the alck of an interface for backups and a more responsive customer service.

What do you like best about the product?
The standout feature for me is their automated high availability setup with standby nodes - it's genuinely hands-off and reliable. Their automated backup system and point-in-time recovery are key for our disaster recovery plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their pricing is notably higher and the premium for their management layer is significant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have dedicated DevOps personnel, so this has helped our dev team deploy in the cloud.
Easy-to-Use and Easy Platform for Cloud Services for developers
What do you like best about the product?
The setup management is super easy and smooth. you don't have to get stressed about their updates and patches of their management infrastructure is super amazing. Aiven offers high availability with multi-region deployments and Aiven can easily integrate with other aiven services which is good and also it provide amazing security to their platform which will ensure your security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price will be more transparent the customization options are limited and community support is is lesser than the other platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aiven for OpenSearch fully managed servic. some time in the business the search cluster grows very high but aiven scalability gives us a facility to manage my search cluster easily. Aiven for OpenSearch offers multiple region deployments wich ensure the high availibily of the system and manage fault tolerance.

It takes care of the backend work, like scaling and backups, so you can focus on using OpenSearch rather than managing it. The transparent pricing is a big plus, too—no hidden costs or surprises, which makes budgeting easier. Plus, the support team is responsive and genuinely helpful, which is reassuring when handling complex data needs.

One downside with Aiven for OpenSearch is that it can feel a bit limiting in customization compared to AWS, especially for those who prefer fine-tuning every aspect of their cluster setup. While Aiven’s simplicity is a strength, it may lack some of the advanced configuration options that power users or those with very specific requirements might need. Additionally, Aiven’s pricing, though transparent, can still be on the higher side for small projects or startups when compared to some alternatives.

It has been insanely easy to get our postgres instances migrated over from GCP to Aiven, with amazing support the whole way.

Primarily, that it is another platform that we have to manage, and it can get pricey, quickly

It is giving us the ability to easily scale our Postgres servers.
