I love Notion!
What do you like best about the product?
It's so customizable and you have very little restrictions. You can set up Notion for how it works best for your company and change as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little difficult to get the hang of using at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team can easily stay on track of projects together / there is great transparency / I can stay organized.
Powerful collaboration tool for product development teams
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has a LOT of features and makes sharing content across my team and other folks at my company easy. There are many different formats to choose from, depending on the type of content you need to create.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX can be frustrating sometimes. When I'm trying to edit a document that I or someone else has created, it's not as smooth or intuitive as working with a Microsoft Office or Google Workspace product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run a product management team. We use Notion for documenting customer research, writing and sharing PRDs, creating "homepages" for new functionality that we've created, and onboarding for new employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Notion is a freemium product, so you can easily try before you buy.
A robust task organizational tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how there are different genres of tasks that notion organizes for you right off the bat. There are many ways to sort and organize your tasks, journals, or notes. I really like to use it to keep track of budgeting, home, and work tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UI is a little overwhelming. I wish there were clearer ways to find/sort templates or tools for specific tasks, i.e. prompt the user with things like "what are you trying to accomplish?" "do you need a chart for this task?" so that there is a more organic way to figure out what of the many templates works best for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I put all of my personal and work tasks in Notion, previously using the Apple notes app. I prefer productivity tools that are incredibly open ended because I think one opportunity cost of time spent organizing tasks/time spent doing tasks involves how much time it takes to organize your tasks and update them daily or weekly.
Notion-Review
What do you like best about the product?
Table of contents part is very clear solution for finding my previously written content. Also, UI is very friendly such as adding easily headings, It even has a special coding space block.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not popular among people or my friends. For example, when you send a google docs link to a friend it is a trusted link, however people may question the shareable link of notion if they do not know the app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have implemented my daily report in notion, I can easily add links and notes, Also, when I learn something about work or special life, I took notes on Notion and then come back to check my notes
Centralized documentation
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is robust and includes loads of features that allow you to personalize your teams processes, documentation, projects, etc... having such a robust and reduces the need of multiple different tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search feature isn't that strong so if you build out a lot of information and want to find something easily it can be a bit of a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the number of tools the company uses to store information. Streamlining workload and centralization of company information.
Strong all purpose app
What do you like best about the product?
Versatility for whatever your preference in style. There are several ways to view one piece of content which allows for more efficiency and speed when it comes to presenting information and crunching data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not available offline. Doesn't have a native time and way to block notifications. While it does quite a bit of integrations it doesn't integrate with others apps like ClickUp
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being distracted by using several apps for different functions. Sub pages have allowed myself to use less docs and folders and work much quicker. It has make collaboration easier as well.
Very clear, great company organization tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to map out the logistical outline of our company, organize tasks and departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things have taken a minute to figure out how to do---not as clear cut-but have figured it out in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is organizing our company. You can easily see an overview of everything, then specifics from there.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you would like to organize your company all in one place visually, this is a great product for you
Extremely customizable, good for creating your own structure.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can add pretty much anything I can think of to Notion. It's like Google Docs merged with Google Sheets and a lot nicer to look at.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion does a little bit of everything and not enough of some things. I really like it as a general-purpose catch-all, but I prefer to stick to my single-use apps for anything that might have specialized requirements (like using Google Sheets for tables). That doesn't mean i don't love Notion for when I need to mix and match; that is where it excels.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
See above. When I need to use multiple types of documents with one another, Notion does it very well — for example, creating a word document with a table embedded in it. I also like that I can link pages within pages. It is beneficial for our team to knowledge-share this way.
Powerful with a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I love how customizable Notion is and there's a way for me to implement it in many different aspects of my life.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a learning curve to finding how to make it work best for your needs; the openness of the platform can be overwhelming at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing my productivity better and able to see the overlap between projects on a larger scale.
Best app for organising notes
What do you like best about the product?
Firstly it has a clean user interface and is a cross-platform app which makes it easily accessible on any device and also on the browser. It comes with plenty of templates which makes the data more organized and easy to fetch. Also, we can directly share the link with anyone and they can also access that data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The is not much to dislike about this software but in starting you will feel a bit difficult to get your hands on this software but after some time you will surely love this. So, I personally think better documentation or tutorial should be provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that notion solves for me is the ease of taking notes and managing them. It maintains and keeps the notes in a very organized way which saves a lot of time and we can access them anywhere anytime.
