Surprisingly a tool I can't live without
What do you like best about the product?
I can organize my thoughts, research and notes. I especially like that I can share notes with others.
I have used database tools which are very capable and advanced. I have other parts of my account, and the ability to have private and public notes and subjects are imperative to me. The Mac app, the iOS app and the web app work seamlessly and don't slow down my computer. I now have more research there than ever, and it is maintainable, scalable and sharable. It's also private, and I can trust Notion to keep my privacy intact and not mine or sell my data, unlike what we suspect with free services like Google Drive. I also reach out to Customer Service and they are prompt and helpful with any of my questions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes get confused about managing the users who are part of the account. And it's sometimes unclear to me about the billing, but customer service always answers my questions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is helping to maintain a research and note-taking notebook that is safe from being lost. With Notion, I feel confident that my ideas won't be lost or mistreated by myself or others. I will always have my thoughts, research and notes, which are most important compared to physical objects.

Notion is
- simple when you need it to be. No notion doc ever needs to be more complex than an Apple Notes note or a Word Doc
- flexible when you want it to be. Notion's different block types enable easy calendar creation & viewing data management, and even layout changes that make docs fun and easy to digest.

What do you dislike about the product?
Notion's biggest fault is that without widespread adoption, Google Docs is just a better competitor. Having my entire company switch over to a new Docs app is next to impossible.
While it's speedy, I do appreciate that some people prefer the bare-bones note taking experience that comes with things like Apple Notes.

Notion has been huge in

- creating documents with metadata (e.g. this doc is relevant from this date to this date or a doc with a completion status)

Loving Notion
What do you like best about the product?
It's completely customizable and can flex to the needs of my projects and ideas. My managers also champion Notion so we all use it often.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are small things I try to do that feel unnecessarily challenging or complicated, such as features with the database or duplicating templates. I also wish there were a better to-do list function/database; something like Asana would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing and project management, transparency with my managers, goal setting in both near and short term.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion has continued to evolve into a reliable structure for organizing information across teams. Its flexibility in templates and layouts makes it easy to adapt to new workflows, and collaboration feels more seamless as we expand its use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve remains the main challenge, especially for new users. However, once familiar with the commands and navigation, the experience becomes intuitive and efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration across different projects. We work with multiple development projects simultaneously, which makes it hard to communicate both the current status and what is left to be done in each project. It is allowing us to manage multiple projects efficiently, with less room for miscommunication.

What do you like best about the product?
It feels like all the tools you'd use from other suites are available in just one cloud service. The options for content organization are limitless and the costumization of pages is flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app can be hard to handle if you have very complex pages. It's a learning curve to use it on another device, so it's all about being patient. Also, I'd recommend just using it on your browser because it's impossible to just have one Notion tab open at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They're implementing a new side bar that should make it easier to switch between team and private pages. Seeing as I use Notion for work and personal reasons, this should prove helpful.
One of the best organization apps
What do you like best about the product?
It is so fun and easy to use! I can not only reorganize tables of data but it's been very useful to move around text, from sentences to entire walls of paragraphs. It's syncing across devices has also not failed me yet, which I appreciate since I always have issues with other services not saving my most recent edits.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. It has accomplished what I've needed and expected from it, for personal use anyway. I guess the only non-issue is the persistence and repeating of deleted pages in the bin, but that's not too bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to reorganize tables, lists and paragraphs with ease. There's also a kind of dashboard where you can add cards of information, which is useful for studying purposes and has helped keep track with art commissions.

What do you like best about the product?
Databases are perfect for managing tasks and workflows, which in other software are less customizable. Another preferential factor is the ability to format the page as you want, with many elements, always with a view to having a tailor-made work environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having many different places to put tasks, but not being able to merge them into a single database.
Another thing that can be annoying is not knowing how much Notion can allow you to scale in terms of numbers and management; it would be nice to have a better view of what and how much you can do.

Notion offers a platform to manage a very particular workflow, which needs a lot of information to keep track of and allows the whole team to add their piece to the completion and progress of the task.
Indeed it makes it preferable to other platforms precisely because of the robust customization, from what is the insertion of properties to the use of formulas that create detailed data and do not require a passage on the spreadsheets, keeping all the data on a single platform.

A complete solution to having al sorts of docs
What do you like best about the product?
Product is solid, has a lots of templates to offer, it ia very easy and fun to use.
Usually writing documentation is a pain, that definitely does not happen with notion.
Also the tech support is always there for answering questions and receiving feedback.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we are experiencing now is the slack integration on pages. When someone updates a page we receive to many notifications about it. We have already reported it, maybe throttling the notifications would be a good idea.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for all the documentation of the different business units at our company, we also use it to have 1:1 meetings with team members. We completely replaced our wiki with notion
It's like having a searchable memory
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to drop in notes about anything in any format quickly, then easily go back and organize. Plus the shared nature of Notion leads to easier shared knowledge around the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get pretty busy in there, so you have to make time to organize. Plus waiting for more and more sync'd blocks, which will make a big difference when working across multiple apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shared organizational knowledge is the biggest. Having team members keep track of the different specific processes they do in their roles makes it much easier to accomplish my goals without having to constantly ask questions.

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is simple, lightweight and extremely flexible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a fan of the mobile experience. It's a bit clunky and unintuitive.

Notion helps me document both on a personal and professional level. It has helped me build a documentation culture.
