Enables seamless organization and interface customization while being easy to use

  • January 13, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Communication, stakeholder management, and engagement are ideal use cases for this solution.

What is most valuable?

Arranging several subsections within a section is easy by left-clicking and moving them around with the mouse. I can organize the interface the way I want, and everything I get is adaptable.

What needs improvement?

It is easy to use, and I love its UI. The only problem I experience is that it often hangs. I might find myself trying to load a new page, but I am unable to move from one page to another due to frequent hanging.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used Notion for project management over the past year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I'd rate its stability at eight out of ten. During the day, especially around eight PM GMT plus three hours, there's a long loading period for content. While incidents happen three times a week at most, they usually occur once weekly.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is great, effective, and easy to reach. I would give it a rating of ten out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I tried using another solution, however, I didn't like its UI feature. Compared to Notion, it required too many clicks, so I left it alone.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's affordable and offers community support if I get stuck. I can find help through community forums like Google, where people share insights on navigating problems. Many people understand it, offering useful feedback from various HITRID.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I don't use alternate solutions.

What other advice do I have?

The decision to use this tool was solely mine. I appreciate its friendly UI and monochrome colors, which avoid excessive color mixing. This feature and the ease of navigation have kept me committed. I can understand it quickly compared to other tools.

I rate the overall solution eight out of ten; it is a basket of convenience.

Strong integration capabilities with seamless updates and collaboration

  • January 06, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Currently, I am not actually using any CRM. I am a writer, so my focus is to write. I mainly cover hosting-focused articles, like V2 Cloud for virtual desktops. When I need to review them, I visit the site, take a trial, and then write the review. Internally, I use Notion to share outlines, and for personal use, I use it for note-taking, task management, and collaboration.

What is most valuable?

The main purposes are note-taking, task management, and collaboration. Notion has very strong integration capabilities. It also automatically updates itself, which adds new features and fixes bugs.

Notion's scalability works fine for our small company. Basically, Notion is used internally for sharing outlines. It is also used for note-taking, task management, and collaboration, which helps internally for our small company.

What needs improvement?

Notion has one big downside: the lack of an offline mode. If the internet or Notion's servers are down, I cannot access information. This is a big disadvantage.

Sometimes, Notion can be slow, especially if there is too much information or during peak times. This is mostly noticeable to technical users. Another issue is that there are cases where people have lost information due to bugs.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Notion for many years and I have been working as a freelancer for the last ten years. Now I have joined the company, however, from my freelancing work, I used Notion pretty on and off. In the last few years, I have been using it very regularly.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sometimes, Notion can be slow, especially if there is too much information or during peak times, but it is mostly noticeable to technical users.

How was the initial setup?

It is not complex to install. For someone technical, it is very easy. For beginners, it should be easy as well.

What other advice do I have?

Notion is heavily used in my workflow. The main concern is the lack of offline mode. Other than that, it is great. My rating for Notion is nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

On-premises

Notion is extremely useful

What do you like best about the product?
Notion helps you keep organized in your day to day life. You're able to make uncountable pages and separate each part of your life into different categories. All that while also being able to make it cute, using icons and headers for each page.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to Notion, I would say, is being unable to add may google calendar to a page, and needing to add a new calendar with all my information. Also, which is not a downside but only something to get used to, is the way to get everything you want, such as automated to do list, but once you get used to it, it's fairly easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to take notes in class, as I feel it is way better organized than other softwares, since I can create a subject page, then pages inside that one for each class or topic. I also used it as a monthly and weekly planner, which helps me keep track of everything I need to do.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a tool that helps me organize myself on each candidate that I need to interview, and make easier to find the documents related to each candidate.
I use everytime I need to do interviews, it makes easier and all in one place when I need any detail about the interview made.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was not easy to learn, I had to ask for my colleagues to learn how to use, I mostly only know about what I need to do and that's it, nothing else, because it looks a little hard to do anything else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's my interview platform, I use it for adjust when, with who and what's the difference between the jobs interviews that I do.

Great tool for many purposes, but there’s a steep learning curve

  • December 21, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notion is great to use as a knowledge base for your business or to get organized in the day to day. It's flexible to adjust to your neees in a variety of purposes. However, I feel that for most people, it is so flexible that it becomes hard to take the first steps in building what you need, even with templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel it's not as lightweight as it should be
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easy to search the knowledge base with quick results, usually spot on.

Flexible project management solution for team workflows

  • December 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s very flexible to organize my projects with Notion. With the drag and drop interface you can easily build custom dashboards, track your tasks, or link websites. I like best how it hook up with Slack and Google Calendar and you can organize anything related to work. It’s so customizable you can almost have a workspace for both personal and business use. By having everything in one place I do not need to switch between apps all the time but rather have it streamline my day to day workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only problem with the offline mode in Notion is that it doesn’t work too well, and it has an issue that when my internet is not too stable. It has only delayed me when I needed those notes during a meeting. The search functionality is an another drawback as it fails trace older files. The features are also complicated with sailing, so it makes onboarding slower for new team members, which in turn gets in the way of efficiency with workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A central place for documentation has solved our team's communication and task tracking issues and Notion has done that. We hadn’t had much luck keeping track of project updates that were getting scattered across emails and spreadsheets. We now team up in real time, setting tasks and instant messaging our updates. That has helped us to get more organized and it saves time and increases productivity. For instance, we make tracking our content from the idea to the publication stage much easier in one workspace now.
