Notion as a second brain
What do you like best about the product?
I'm using Notion as a second brain and I find that it has many strengths. One of the biggest advantages is its flexibility and customizability. I can create different types of content such as databases, notes, and to-do lists, and organize them in a way that makes sense for me. This makes it easy to keep track of my personal and professional information all in one place. Additionally, I appreciate that it's accessible from any device with an internet connection, so I can access my notes and ideas from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some weaknesses to Notion. One issue is that it can be slow at times, which can be frustrating when I'm trying to access or update information quickly. Additionally, one of the most important weaknesses is that Notion is not fully functional when working offline. This can be a problem if I need to access my notes or data in an area without reliable internet access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion saves me the trouble of thinking about where to take my notes. It serves as my note-taking, writing, project management, meeting notes, and even diary portal. One of the biggest benefits is its flexibility and customizability, which allows me to organize my personal and professional information all in one place. Additionally, the artificial intelligence feature helps me to rewrite and correct grammatical errors. While there are some missing points of AI, such as giving wrong answers sometimes, I believe it will improve in the near future.

What do you like best about the product?
Quickly generates a foundation from which I can add to/adjust as I see fit. This speeds up my daily work flow, especially in relation to general admin in the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to manage databases and have full autonomy regarding automation. The fact that there is no audit trail is also a concern for any data being stored in the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Speeds up daily workflow. Takes short prompts and turns them into a workable paltfrom for me to add meat to the bone. Not something I would use for important docs or very technical writing but certainly for the odd internal communication.
Great tool when stuck!

I use notion to help draft papers for both school and work. I love how easy it is to have AI write stuff for me.

I don't like that i have to create a page for everything but it is helpful when i want to save the information it provides

What do you like best about the product?
The AI in notion is really useful. It massively increases productivity. For example, you can quickly draft a report or difficult email and then use AI to improve or change the tone.
Notion is also great at integrations including Slack and Email intergrations.

What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest issue with Notion is that you need to know how to be very good at scripts if you want to get the most out of it. To do things such as calculate workflows or outstanding tickets you really need to be able to understand scripts and code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ai it helping improve productivity.
It has a ticketing system that allows me to project manage various workstreams also.
I work in a risk role, so my main feedback would be the ease at which changes can be made to other peoples work without an audit trail could be concerning if you do not have page history going back a long way.

An excellent addition to Notion, but much room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration, easy of use. easy to convert content for web. Automations are good. IA is a real bonus
What do you dislike about the product?
It replicates tools that I necessarily have to pay for! The IA is a little hit and miss at the moment

Organisational - easier to use in terms of organisational work than many PM or KM type tools

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Notion is completely what you make of it. It can fit nearly any of my use cases, and I have very little trouble ever making a nice page to organize my thoughts. The embed feature is one of my favorites, and the new Notion AI has been ever so helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly care for the unintuitive copy-and-paste features. I can't ever CMND C CMND V with short cut keys, rather I have to very carefully select all the text (not selecting the boxes) and then right click to copy and paste. It would be much easier if I could use regular shortcut keys with this. Also I don't like how notion lacks basic relative spreadsheet functions. I'd love to be able to have basically simple "Excel" functions built into the table feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me map out and collect all my notes in one place. AI has helped expand my ability to understand more and plan better. It helps me find out not what to say, but how to say it best... thus leaving me more time to focus on other things making me more productive overall.

The management of data is very effective. The search function is powerful. Data classification and referencing are convenient. Data is classified through different tags.

It is necessary to have the ability for knowledge to reference each other, associate knowledge points, and form a knowledge graph, creating interrelated connections to facilitate knowledge extraction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Facilitate the collection of scattered knowledge points for easy subsequent organization to form a knowledge center. You can gradually review them later.
Excellent for summarizing, structuring, and generating notes

Notion allows me to keep my technical and non-technical docs in one places, while easily being able to share with colleages
What do you dislike about the product?
The app is slow to start/load, and does not support handwriting on devices like my iPad (i.e. Scribble support)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is our company home for notes and docs. Notion AI, in particular, is great for helping generate docs from scratch when you don't know where to start

It's not the most intuitive software to use and needs further demonstration

What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve - while Notion offers a lot of functionality out of the box. I've found limitations on how pages can be formatted or how data can be visualised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it as a second brain - following Tiago Fortes model.
