Great documentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love all the documentation features notion has
What do you dislike about the product?
The shortcuts aren't obvious and you have to google them. The features themselves are the easiest to set up either. Some don't work the way I want it to but there isn't a lot of flexibility either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation collaboration with the team.
Completeness, customizability, clarity and calm
What do you like best about the product?
It calls itself the everything app, and rightly so. Right from tasks, calendars, todo lists, Kanbans, timelines to notes, databases and tables, Notion has been my go to solution for almost every project of mine. The best feature is its extreme customizability, where it is unbeaten by any other competing apps. You can create your productivity system from ground up using Notion's templates, as many have done. It has a vibrant community of content creators and productivity geeks who keep releasing new templates for us to use. The newly released API also allows some critical integration with apps like calendar, todo list and automation tools like Zapier, Automate.io
What do you dislike about the product?
The android app could use some UX improvement - it becomes tough even to check off tasks, let alone create or move them around. Recurring tasks are another feature still being sorely missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is my productivity setup, wherein I manage my tasks, projects, databases for notes, my finances and links I find across the web. I can customize the elements based on my use case, ensure they're easily sortable and searchable, and reminders are easy to set up. I can't imagine what a powerhouse this is going to be as its integrations and features keep expanding
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best for those looking for a cumulative database product. Good for large scale project management. For short tasks, prefer smaller apps with better Android/iOS provisions
Very useful for organization
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is very aesthetically pleasing to use for organizing, it's visually appealing and lets you create all kinds of charts and tables on different tabs that resemble different webpages. It's easy to access pre-made templates as well, and you can adjust the code yourself to make personalized changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be a learning curve when using Notion, it's not as user-friendly as some other organization platforms, and sometimes it can be time consuming when first setting up Notion webpages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has become easier for me to organize my work notes and schedules into separate webpages with a dozen different tables to easily find what I'm looking for. Would definitely recommend for people who enjoy organizing and want to find a good, long term solution that streamlines the organization process!
I use Notion for all my note-taking and organisation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the different views, flexibility and customisability of Notion! I use it mainly to project manage my own work and organise my day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like there are so many features and sometimes I'm unsure what is the best flow for my work. But that's where all the training and guides come in!
I also wish there was more visual features like colour coding.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solve time management and organisation with Notion. I use the checkbox feature a lot and also take notes from meetings in there. It's a one-stop shop.
The best collaborative workspace
What do you like best about the product?
The high versatility of doing almost everything. From creating wikis to connecting databases. Whatever in a straightforward form. Also, the learning curve is fast for the beginners
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss some potential in the formulas you can use in tables or wherever. Also, the chart functionality depends on third parties, and it could be better to create one in Notion directly. For presentations, the same thing happens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Notion at my company and personally. For professional use, we use notion as a knowledge repository which includes tracking the performance of some business areas. For personal use, I use Notion to take notes and make lists and tables.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

For personal use: The best tool for everything. From shopping lists to track the books you currently read or to planning a trip

Good for Doc Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to open source docs to share with my team in real time. It supplements collaboration and makes staying on task much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of some of the other use cases of the product that others have perpetuated as of late. One of them being; using Notion for hiring. We've tried it out for this, and it doesn't make much sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration efficiency. We are getting things done faster.

Great Design, Basically Unusable Due to Extreme Lag Across All Apps and Web
What do you like best about the product?
The modular, elegant design makes it not only a note-taking tool to best the traditional players like Evernote, but a powerful all-in-one work management tool for things like project management, documentation, meeting agendas, and much more. The fact that everything is a page and you can create databases of pages with relationships to each other (e.g. database of clients with relationship to a tasks database, so you can tie a client-specific task to that client) makes it one of the most powerful no-code solutions for creating a digital business's workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow when you have complex pages with lots of different blocks, references to databases, and/or synced blocks. They've been improving speed issues progressively and lately I've only experienced this in rare cases, and when page setups may just simply be too complex and in need of re-architecting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflows like newsletter and blog production, meeting agendas, notebooks, databases of various things we want to save e.g. ideas for future newsletters or sources of inspiration, newsletter and blog writing with the help of the built-in AI assistant.
Only good, but getting better
What do you like best about the product?
- Notion is a relatively easy to platform to use from a user standpoint (creating pages, viewing pages)
- Clean looking pages, no frills UI, intuitive menu layout
- Tons of ways to customize pages
- Great list of 3rd party integrations, including G Suite
- Their Support Team is responsive and helpful

What do you dislike about the product?
- Notion is a relatively hard platform to Admin. I believe they may have made some changes recently, but limiting access to certain pages for certain users is a bit cumbersome.
- For the "Team" plan at $8 per user, the amount of content you can create is based on "Blocks". Most small to medium teams will blow right past their 1,000 block limit. Upgrading to the "Enterprise" plan with unlimited blocks at $20 per user is quite a jump in price.
- From the author's standpoint, the clean and open nature of their pages can sometimes feel overwhelming. When starting with such a blank page, it's sometimes hard to know where to start, ultimately leading to writer's block. There are standardized templates, but I feel like for non-creative minded people like myself it's hard to get going. You really need to first envision how you would like your page to look before getting started, rather than write and re-arrange later like I tend to do.

Having an easy-to-use and accessible knowledge center is a must for small-sized companies trying to scale. The goal should be to reduce the amount of time employees spend looking for information, including new hires. In small-sized companies, knowledge tends to be handed down verbally or located in multiple places, thus making it difficult to find. We ran into this issue as our company was growing, but the biggest challenge is creating ownership for updating the information.
Unlimited possibilities and enormous flexibility
What do you like best about the product?
The seamless cross device access and integration with 100's of auxilary services
What do you dislike about the product?
The Template organisation can be made better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Note taking like a personal journal
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I heard there are a lot of potential competing products like One note. But I personally love notion for the templates and hyperlinking
