Notion keeps me organised
What do you like best about the product?
It looks really good and you can create lots of different views to organised information in a very visual way!
I love the use of emojis and how you can share this pages publically, which always look great.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is not so user friendly, moving pages to different areas can sometimes be tricky. For example, you can end up losing pages if you aren't careful. Moving things around on pages can also be quite difficult too!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Shared area for our company, and writing up my notes and drafts
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Test it out first!
Super friendly to use, can have everything organized in the same place
What do you like best about the product?
LInk block to avoid duplicating the information, inline tables, embedding a google doc, adding emojis to my texts!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't perform formulas per field (like a spreadsheet) in the databases, that'd be awesome!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing info with the team (in a really visible way) allows us to have real-time information and being able to collaborate
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give a change and see if it fits your needs :)
Notion is one of the new generation of tool-building tools, but requires discipline to use
What do you like best about the product?
- Simple, flexible content model.
- Simple, robust layout.
- Relational tables are a game changer.

- Relational tables are a game changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Lack of automation (despite acquiring an automation company).
- Very poor import/export functionality, especially related to tables and relations.
- Weak formula language, rather than using a more robust existing approach to scripting.
- Poor management of property layout and visibility.
- Lack of follow-through on database views: views don't apply to relation properties.
- Underpowered rollup properties: can't be accessed by value, can't be used in rollups.
- Poor history view.
- Lack of "suggest changes" view when editing collaboratively, making review of edits impractical.
- Way too easy to unintentionally cause havoc by editing/deleting properties that are used in views you don't even know exist. There are no safety belts.
- The UI for editing table views and properties has had an overhaul. While streamlining certain things and adding capabilities, it also became rather cluttered and obscure.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Appoint someone to be an active Editor in Chief, or your workspace will be a big ball of mud.
Most useful app for students!
What do you like best about the product?
As a student, i particularly like the rich note-taking experience that notion provides. I can use the standard mardown langauage for note taking, but can also attach and embed links, attach PDFs, use TeX for math, and so on.
The most useful feature of notion however, is it's pwoerful databases, I used them to organize my notes, track my project progress and even make a resource map. I have even used databases to track my rally times in Dirt Rally 2.0!

What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that is sorely missing in the notion note taking experience is tables, we do have databases, but sometimes all you want is a simple table. Additionally, writing functions and automations for databases could be made simpler and more intuituve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion also makes sharing and collaborating especially easy and intuitive. It was specially useful in group projects and in collaborating on stuff during the WFH times. My team really appreciated the inbuilt kanban board.
Good product for sharing a workspace for collaborating with others in your company
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to use and the integration with slack is very helpful for notifications. The database feature is neat as well and provides a good platform and simplistic use in comparison to other similar products like Confluence or other workplace apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how in the database, the headings are not capable of wrapping text. The only way to view heading tabs are to extend the tab or hover over them. I also don't like how the notifications aren't preset to send emails even while active in the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving our interim process for contract intake. It's a simple space for people to add contracts and for legal to track what has come in. The database is good also for providing status updates and checkboxes for completing certain tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is good for workplace productivity. You can find yourself becoming a superuser in no time and it can be used in many areas of your work.
An everything software
What do you like best about the product?
One can do a lot of different stuff in Notion. Very nice to be able to connect it to other software. I use it most for its databases. Seems to be used more than its competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss some features that exists in Excel. But everything that exists seems to work. It could become better if the databases became more like excel, so that would be most important for improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It works as an awesome program for a small business. It has not helped us financially so far I believe. But our productivity and business performance seem to be higher.
A great tool for both personal life and work. Notion can be both you and your team's second brain.
What do you like best about the product?
Notion is a very powerful tool for building a wiki or knowledge base for your company. Apart from this Notion's powerful database and views can be used to create a small operating system for your company. We started using Notion for both the first and second uses in our small all-remote startup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion could be expensive if you are a small startup. We got credits from Notion as an early-stage startup and onboarded all of our users. Soon, we realised that only a few users actually create content and the others are mostly consuming the content and making light edits. As a small startup it did not make sense for us to continue paying a monthly fee for each user. There is no plan which allows you to have different types of licenses for document creators and others who make light edits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Notion primarily as a knowledge base at our all-remote early-stage startup. As an early-stage startup having a knowledge base where our colleagues can write short/long form documents is crucial to our way of working which is async in nature.
Flexibility is power
What do you like best about the product?
It's so flexible to use for different purposes, from a personal website to an agile kanban, to take your notes. We use it in the company I work also as a repository of ideas/newsleters...
In addiction is so easy to use and intuitive.
In addiction is so easy to use and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I cannot, at least from mac app, open more than one window at the same time. That would be very useful at some point so you can jump from one thing to the other very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is solving my problem by taking notes without any other. I use to have paper notes, and digital notes on my phone, on my laptop, and everywhere. Now I have them organized.
Notion keeps my ideas from escaping me
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to organize my docs with files, and videos that I can just drag and drop onto the screen
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a "suggested method" to organize your pages once they've started to accumulate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Removing the clutter and version control nightmare that comes with gdocs. It allows me to keep all my valuable content organized in one single place.
Great place to document and share
What do you like best about the product?
You can utilize Notion for a variety of purposes. From simple to-do lists to Kaban boards for prioritizing activities, tracking progress, and facilitating collaboration on projects with coworkers. Excellent for both personal and professional use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it integrated with Google Calendar so that notifications were sent there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using templates and available options, you can solve various problems related to project management and keep track of multiple situations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Before deciding what to accomplish, utilise their available templates. They are so well-made that you may already possess what you require.
