Flexible and Powerful Yet Overwhelming

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion for personal note taking, task management, and planning. I love that Notion is flexible; I can keep verbose notes and organize my data in so many different ways, which helps me find and understand what I'm working with. I'm also starting to use it for consulting note-taking and task planning. Notion helps me keep track of an abundance of information I encounter daily and visually see my tasks to stay organized and plan better. I appreciate how well Notion AI helps me create powerful organization tools quickly, even though I'm still learning to fully leverage its power. The AI meeting notes tool is incredibly powerful, allowing me to focus on meetings rather than spending time on note-taking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a hard time learning how to use it to its full capacity. I find that Notion can be overwhelming. I also have found as I start using one method, I might find that I need to shift to another organizational style, I still am not sure how to do this and honestly unsure what is the best method or how to convert that data. Such as if I start organizing tasks in a Kanban board with a card and multiple sub pages, but then learn I want to convert one card into its own primary category. Initial setup of Notion was difficult. I believe this was due to I did not have specific requirements in place, or really know what I wanted to use it for beyond verbose note capture.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me keep track of the abundance of information I encounter daily, visualize tasks, stay organized, and plan better. I also use it to create powerful organization tools quickly and focus on meetings rather than note-taking with its AI meeting notes tool.

Centralizes Workflow, Needs Better iOS Integration

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Notion has allowed me to organize all of the disparate tools I used to lean on into a single location. I have a database with every student, and each student has a page with 50+ inputs. Now, everything lives in one place. It makes recalling details like when Natasha is taking the SAT or what I discussed with Reed's dad on our last call easy because I can query it all via the Notion AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like better integration with iOS, especially iMessage. Connectivity to my iPhone messages isn’t great. I think Notion could integrate tighter with the database tools. I'm also looking for a way to use Notion AI to pull relevant emails or content from my Gmail. The initial setup had a very steep learning curve—I was too intimidated at first and procrastinated launching Notion, but after a few days, I learned it fairly well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to manage my consulting business by organizing all my tools in one place, with a database for each student, allowing easy access to their information through Notion AI.

Free version is great - but the paid is worth it

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tracking features and integration with other software are quite effective. I find the AI tools to be useful, and the platform is easy to use and implement. I use it frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, the AI tends to become overwhelmed and can get stuck if given too much to handle at once. I’ve found it works better when I assign it smaller tasks, like filling in a calendar two weeks at a time rather than trying to populate an entire year all at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking and organization

Robust Organization Made Easy, But Search Needs Improvement

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like all of the different features that Notion incorporates and how it can be really easy to stay organized through all of the different features like databases, labels, and links. I find it really easy to work with. The knowledge management section for my overall business has been really helpful and helped me answer a lot of different questions, from our financial policies to our HR and links to important pieces. During times of big cross-channel collaboration, the project management feature has also been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find their search feature to be a little bit lacking. And the UI is a little bit hard to use. I oftentimes can't find things as easily as I wish that I could.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps keep all my notes together in one place, providing a historical repository of discussions. It eases organization with features like databases, labels, and links, and the knowledge management section answers business-related questions and aids cross-channel collaboration.

Highly Customizable Tool for Superior Information Management

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very customizable tool that can be used for information management and task organization that I couldn't get with Google keep.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit slow and takes a few clicks to quickly jot down notes. There's no drawing tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The notion AI assistant is doing a great job of synthesizing my many note pages that I transferred over from Google keep.

Centralized and Customizable, But Setup Can Be Complex

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Notion for its centralization of information and the flexibility of the platform to adapt it to anything I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of its powerful flexibility, it also makes Notion rather complex to set up in an optimal way. It would be great if there were more quick-start ways for setting up different use cases. While templates are available, they're often overengineered and come from third-party sources. Setting up the databases is very complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion keeps all my information in one place, allowing me to chat with full context of my projects in a central location.

Flexible Tool with Stellar AI Assistance

  • December 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how flexible Notion is and love the AI assistant for helping with summarizing and organizing my ideas. The flexibility allows me to create online 'books' or collections of notes, which helps me organize my thoughts and big ideas. The summarizing feature of the AI assistant is also something I really like, as it often helps me summarize long documents for quick reference in the future. The initial setup was super easy, and I enjoyed learning the functionality by using examples from others to build my ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes some of the word processing features in Notion feel a bit clunky. I want it to work like Google Docs or Word. For example, I really wanted to be able to merge columns on a table, but found that wasn't a function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize my notes for work and Spanish learning. It helps with organization and summarizing articles and notes, making it easy to refer back to them.
