Highly Flexible, Yet Requires Setup Patience
What do you like best about the product?
I use Notion to organize my study plans, notes, and personal tasks in one place. I like its flexibility. It lets me design my own system instead of forcing myself into a fixed format, which works well for both studying and personal planning. I can adapt pages as my needs change without changing tools. Notion helps me bring everything into one place instead of juggling multiple apps for notes, planning, and tracking progress. I can clearly structure my study plans, break tasks into smaller steps, and revisit notes easily, saving time and reducing mental clutter. I most of the time use Notion as a central workspace, as it acts as the main place where everything is linked together.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and learning curve can feel overwhelming, especially when starting from scratch. It can also feel a bit slow at times when pages become too heavy with content. When pages contain large databases, many nested blocks, or heavy embeds, performance can lag and scrolling becomes less smooth. Better optimization for large pages or lightweight modes for text-heavy workflows would improve the experience. Honestly, initial set up was complicated for me (after registering) compared to Google Keep or OneNote.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps me organize study plans, notes, and tasks in one place, reducing the need for multiple apps and saving time. Its flexibility allows me to structure and adapt my planning as needed, minimizing mental clutter.
Streamlined Planning with Clean, Minimalist UI
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Notion for making planners, especially for planning out my days, my weeks, and my daily tasks. I love the clean and minimalist UI because it feels like there's no complexity in Notion, and I really prefer minimal UI designs. The initial setup was easy, mainly due to AI help, which made creating plans straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Minor complexity while switching navigations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for planning my days and weeks, creating my daily plan, and appreciate its clean, minimalist UI for keeping things simple.
Intuitive, Versatile Tool for Note-Taking and More
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy Notion's easy-to-use interface and intuitive data structure. It's a great tool for organizing information, creating wikis, and tracking timelines. I also love the huge community of users that share best practices, which really helps in maximizing the platform's potential. The very easy initial setup, where we just needed to set up profiles before our usage evolved gradually, makes Notion stand out. Switching from Trello was a good move because Notion not only handles project management well but also adds impressive knowledge management and note-taking capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Notion could be improved with more tutorial videos and AI-driven recommendations about how to use the platform better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to organize information, create wikis, and track timelines, adding note-taking and knowledge management capabilities beyond what Trello offers.
Enhanced Daily Planning with Intuitive Scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Notion makes it easier to plan my day without confusion. Scheduling tasks is one of the best things about it, as it reminds me of my work. Making lists, whether for groceries or anything else, is also very easy. The initial setup was very easy; I just followed the instructions given.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Notion's UI a bit messy and think it could be smoother. It would be helpful if the features people use most were available on the home screen with bigger icons.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to schedule daily tasks, plan my days, take notes, and set reminders. It makes planning easier and avoids confusion. Task scheduling helps remind me of my work, and making lists for groceries or anything is very easy.
Versatile Productivity Hub with Templates
What do you like best about the product?
I like to use Notion for my daily productivity and creating databases for my daily life. I appreciate that I don’t have to recreate lists and can use Notion AI to evaluate items or add research to inform decision points. I enjoy the no frills design and chunking, and the aesthetics speak to me. Everything can be modular. The templates are valuable to me; the people that created them have often solved problems I hadn’t anticipated and are genuinely thoughtful. I also appreciate the deep integration set, although I have been using it mainly for personal productivity enhancement via centralization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The home screen can be customized but wasn’t intuitive to me. Setting it up took some time as organizing everything wasn't straightforward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion to streamline daily productivity, manage to-dos, and create databases easily. I don't need to recreate lists, and the templates solve problems I hadn't anticipated. Its modular design enhances my productivity through centralization.
Versatile Organizational Tool, but Needs Improved Long Document Handling
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of Notion. I like that it allows you to create a variety of different documents, and every document can be different. And I like that it allows you to create sort of a front page for each part of the company. So marketing can have a page link to all their different documents and everyone knows where to find things.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not the best for long ongoing work documents. We were trying to track a list of emails, and it got very unwieldy, and it was very hard to comment on things. The comment feature doesn't take you to where the comment is, and so it's hard to have sort of a big ongoing document in Notion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion helps us organize all of our documents, notes, and operating procedures, making it easy for everyone to find, be included, and comment on things.
Streamlined Knowledge Management with Notion AI
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Notion AI helps with knowledge management and project management. Its AI writing assistant is quite helpful, giving me the ability to create new support articles and write up new tasks and to-dos for myself and others. It allows me to speedily get through things, and I really appreciate the ease of use with Notion AI.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been somewhat difficult for me to learn all the things I can do with Notion. It seems very powerful, but I'm entirely sure I'm not using it to its full capabilities. I will have to figure out how to learn more of how to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Notion for knowledge management and project management. The AI writing assistant helps create support articles with minimal edits, integrates info from Jira, Slack, and our help center, and speeds up tasks.
Centralized Knowledge Hub with Efficient Search
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Notion makes it easy to work with other teams and find documents that they can use. I can easily share within there. I can use the Notion AI tool to search our entire company's knowledge base and get questions answered as well. In general, the search function is my favorite thing. I also appreciate how easy it is to use and ensure that everything looks aesthetically pleasing. Unlike Google Drive, everything is not in a gazillion different folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Notion AI could do a better job of using context to answer questions instead of only pulling up other pages that have that keyword or topic involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion centralizes our SOPs and links, ensuring documents aren't outdated. It organizes everything, serving as our one source of truth. I like its ease of sharing documents and the search function to quickly access our company's knowledge base.
Effortless Note-Taking and Reporting with Powerful Formatting Options
What do you like best about the product?
The main strength of this tool lies in its efficiency for taking notes. While there are many text editors out there, this one has become my preferred choice for both reporting and formatting tasks. Whether I need to create a formal report or jot down personal notes, I find it easy to use and customize my documents as I wish. It offers a wide range of options for writing and formatting, going beyond just font size and font type.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to say. This tool is not open-source, and after a 14-day trial period, you are required to purchase a license to continue using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customizable and personalized notes are much more engaging. However, most text editors on the market offer only basic editing features. Notion, on the other hand, provides exactly the tools users need both during and after writing. It allows users to style their text in various ways, including adding checklists, headings, links, and images. Honestly, once you try this tool, you won't want to switch to any other text editor.
Complicated But Yet Power Full App
What do you like best about the product?
Instead of keeping multiple apps like google spreadsheet, google docs, google keeps, I can access all different types of database on notion itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Notion sometimes feels like more complicated even though it as many features. In fact many features make it more complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of using many apps to access Company database I can use notion alone to access all our data.
